Gilbraltar has very busy streets , stay on the bike trails or buy the guided tour as navigating traffic circles and traffic lights are crazy dangerous . ( Although I made it :) ) Biking up the Great Rock mountain is simply not a smart idea ,the pitch is ridiculous and the roads are way to narrow with traffic Troy from Canada

Experienced riders only!

This is a self guided tour. The road around the peninsula is busy and there are tunnels with lots of traffic. Experienced riders should only do this tour. A stop at the airport is a ,use especially when a plane is landing or taking off.

Great way to explore Gibraltar

Bikes were a great way to explore Gibraltar, the electric peddle assist made getting up to the attractions at the top of the Rock much easier. The bikes were in great condition, and typical city electric bikes which are a great match for the type of riding, all the equipment was provided and the member of staff that got us set up and going was great with providing maps and hints to make sure we got the best out of our trip out on the bikes

A Great Way to Avoid the Taxi Craziness!

We did the ride around the back side of the Rock, up to the top, and down into town. It took us about 6 hours because we like to stop and learn, and could easily have been all day. Very friendly staff made it a great day! If you think Gibraltar is “just a rock” like I did, grab a bike and learn the real story! (I am not Norma…that is my mother in law and Viator will not let me change it from a booking last year!)

Stuart and his E bikes are top-notch!! These e-bikes are a great way to explore the city. They include a self-guided map in an app that you’ll need to download before your ride. I did have some trouble staying connected while biking and eventually lost access to the guided tour map, so I ended up switching to Google Maps. One fair warning: if you’re planning to ride the e-bike up to the top of the Rock, be prepared for a bit of a challenge. The climb is fairly steep and can still be tough even with the assistance of the e-bike. Overall, my sister and I completed the tour of the Rock. We had fun , along with an excellent workout!! :-)

It was a fun experience. We didn't make it to the top of Gibraltar but we are both in our 60's. This gives travelers another option rather than piling into a cab with a whole bunch of other people.

It was an amazing experience. The guy that took care of us was very nice and helpful. It is a little hard to get to the top of Gibraltar Rock but once you are there it's amazing. The best part is that you go at your own pace and visit wherever you like to. The shop closed at 4:00 pm but the friendly guy let us return the bikes anytime after that (shop has a lockbox to leave the keys). I forgot his name but thanks to him for this great experience.

These e-bikes made a world of difference in traversing the terrain (sometimes steep and narrow) of the rock. It felt great travelling with such ease and we didn’t get crammed into the mini buses that had to do 3-4point turns at the hairpin bends. Stuart was incredibly accommodating, the map was easy to follow and I think I have now been persuaded to buy an e-bike!
