Adult tickets for the Gibraltar Cable Car cost £16.50 one way and £19 round-trip, or £9 for children (5–11 years). Children 4 and under can ride for free with their parents. You’ll also need to pay admission fees to the Gibraltar Nature Reserve: £30 for adults and £22 for children.

The Gibraltar Cable Car runs daily year-round, depending on the weather, but operating hours vary. The Gibraltar Nature Reserve is open from 9:30am to 7pm in the summer (May to September) and 9am to 6pm in the winter (October to April); the first cable car usually sets out at 9:30am.

A ride on the Gibraltar Cable Car takes about 6 minutes from the base station to the Top of the Rock, affording spectacular views over Gibraltar along the way. Plan to spend at least an hour or two admiring the views from the Rock of Gibraltar and seeing the resident Barbary macaques.

The Gibraltar Cable Car takes you right up to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the town, Gibraltar’s coastline, and the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet. On a clear day, look out over Spain and Morocco.

Although plans are underway to provide step-free access to the cable-car stations, the Gibraltar Cable Car is not currently accessible to wheelchairs or strollers. Private vehicle access to the Rock of Gibraltar nature reserve is not permitted, but it is possible to visit by wheelchair-accessible taxi.
