Great experience, even in the rain. Gavino (not sure of spelling sorry) was a great guide. He drove us through all these alleys, showing us the highlights of Genoa and giving us great history. I had never done a tour like this before, but highly recommend it. I learned more about the city than any of my other tours in other locations around Italy.

Tour guide Sophie did a good job. Wecould understand her. Seemed knowledgeable of the city & history. We did the tour in 3 different vehicles. Shortly after starting the tour the rickshaw quite working. We had a 30 min wait for a replacement. We came to an abrupt stop in the 2nd vehicle when a broken wheel spoke got caught in chain spline. Sophie was able to get it free. Next the vehicle did not have enough power to go up a hill. We got out, pushed & walked up the hill. Sophie called for help & a colleague brought her a new looking rickshaw. Finished the tour & back to starting point 30 min late.

A fun and unique way to see a lot of Genoa up close. Great option if you have limited time in port. Youssef was a terrific guide who’s knowledge of the city really enhanced the experience. He was an excellent ambassador for Genoa. He has a great personality which made our time together a lot of fun.

A great introduction to Genoa in two hours. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Jousef was excellent. Made it very interesting— and effortless for us, so we had plenty of energy for an afternoon of walking/sightseeing.

The excursion was a fun and intriguing experience. The guide was young and fun, had a lot of interesting information to pass along.
we had a flat tire and that shortened our trip, because it took a while to get help from the company. We also had to walk back to the ship because his supervisor was texting him about another waiting excursion. It was very hot and the walk was longer than we anticipated when we were asked if it was ok for him to go on to his next job. We felt bad for him because his supervisor kept texting and texting even though he KNEW our excursion had been interrupted by the flat tire incident. The guide was great, his supervisor not so much.

Our guides are generally trained to handle issues such as flat tires independently, and we normally have extra rickshaws available in case of emergencies. If the supervisor kept texting the guide, it may have been due to a deviation from our company protocol in handling such situations.

I would highly recommend this tour. We were cruising the Med and visited the Port of Genoa for a few hours. Eleonora was our guide and made contact with me to arrange meeting point. What a fantastic tour guide. We really enjoyed our tour with the fabulous Eleonora, she has so much local knowledge and being from Genoa made her the perfect guide for us. She took us through the small narrow streets, to the most beautiful churches and the gorgeous rejuvenated area around the port. It is a lovely city and will definitely visit the area again.
