So if this is your first time visiting Genoa like me, then you owe it to yourself to sign up for this history walk! Antonio was my guide, and overall I had a great time learning more about the old town areas of the city. You'll have a great time learning about the history and myths while exploring some of the labyrinthine alleyways. I'm an avid photographer, and the walk was leisurely enough where I could stop and take a few shots throughout the walk as well. It was also very easy to just chat with Antonio during the experience, which made it just as much fun as taking in all the sights. Lastly, he was spot on with his restaurant recommendations based on what I cared about or was interested in, so you know whoever your guide is won't steer you wrong!

Our tour guide Antonio was wonderful and was very knowledgable about Genoa and its history. We toured back alleyways and streets that were like a maze but Antonio knew all of them!

We bought our tickets online and recommend this process. The tour with Antonio exceeded our expectations. We climbed up and down stairs and hills but never at a pace we couldn’t manage—and we’re nearly 80 years old. Antonio was eager to answer all our questions—which were many!—and shared his deep knowledge of Genoa’s history, geography, and culture with us. I am so grateful we had such a knowledgeable and generous tour guide—because you just never know when you visit a new city what will happen. Antonio also gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant for lunch—important when you’ve just arrived in a place.

Unfortunately, our recent experience with your Genoa tour was deeply disappointing. We had booked the tour well in advance and carefully planned our two-day trip to Genoa around it. However, just 10 minutes after the scheduled start time—and only after we reached out to ask where the group was—we were informed that the tour had been canceled.
We were told that the tour had already been canceled prior to our booking. If that was the case, why were we not notified beforehand? Receiving this information only after arriving at the meeting point and following up ourselves is simply unacceptable.
This lack of communication was extremely unprofessional and caused significant disruption to our travel plans. We trusted your service and were left thoroughly disappointed.
We hope you take this feedback seriously and implement better communication practices to prevent similar situations in the future. Based on our experience, we do not plan to use this platform again and would find it difficult to recommend it to others.

Dear Edvinad, after reviewing the situation, we found that your booking was made just a few hours before the scheduled start time and not well in advance as you mentioned, during a short window in which our system mistakenly allowed reservations for a tour that had already been closed. This was a technical error, and we completely understand how upsetting it must have been to arrive expecting a guided experience, only to be informed of its cancellation after you reached out. We didn’t cancel your tour after it was confirmed, it was never active at the time of your booking due to the system error.
We understand your frustration, and we’re actively fixing the backend issue to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Antonio was a very knowledgeable guide who took us to interesting places that we wouldn't have recognised otherwise. Better if guide arrived on time, but it seems common that we are asked to be 15 minutes early but organisers are late. Be careful ... sample drinks actually cost - this was norlt pre- disclosed

This was a great tour of the out-of-the-way places in Genoa. Antonio was knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. We went to several of the typical tourist spots, but also the back streets, shortcuts and areas less travelled by those who do not know the city. One caution: If you have trouble with steep inclines, stairs or walking on coblestones, this may not be the tour for you. Lots of walking on uneven surfaces.

We enjoyed discovering the history behind the scenes and the traditions of Genoa.
Visited several churches where most of the art work is located. We saw the portal to the city of ancient times and Christopher Columbus house. We enjoyed walking through many small alleys and streets in the old town! It was lovely!
