Toboggan ride was fantastic! And that took took are a great way to see the city. Thiago was a great guide and very knowledgeable.

A good time Gonzalo was knowledgeable about the island and we enjoyed the sleds We got there around 10 and the wait for the sled was 75 minutes. Gonzalo waited for us in the line so we could see the church at the top If I were doing it again I would book the cable car combo with the sled

Disappointed tuk tuk tour

Picked up on time, though they contacted us 24hrs before to move the time back 3hours. We then were driven to Monte where the toboggan leaves from. The driver Davide did mention a few times that they were cruise ships in and we should maybe consider taking the cable car back down. We found the wait for the toboggan was going to be 90mins. He said he can wait for 30mins then time is up and it would be 20euros an hour. They seemed to be no tour of Monte just a straight drive to the toboggan, he didn’t offer a 30min tour then we could make our own way back after the ride. A taxi to take us here would of cost no more than 20 euros. Really really disappointed. Been on another tour with a rival and a completely different experience.

Dear customer, We are sorry to hear that your experience with Tukxi did not meet your expectations, however, our Monte tour does not include the toboggan ticket, neither the toboggan company allow pre bookings or pre sales of theirs tickest, therefore customers are requested to purchase the toboggan tickest onsite at the toboggan company office. On the day of your tour the toboggans were overcrowded due to the present of cruise ships at the harbour which resulted on a huge delay on the duration of the tour. The tour is a 2 hrs tour, which normally accomodates a trip to Monte on the tukxi and a trip with the toboggan followed by a last trip on the tukxi back to the city of the hotel, however, on that particular day, unfortunately, that was not possible. As you may understand we are not responsible for the queues at the toboggan, neverthless our guide gave you the option of extending the tour for a extra hour of time to allow you to buy the toboggan ticket and its experience. The extra hours are charged 20,00 euros per hour as we cannot offer extra time to our customer for delays caused by third parties. In our opinion your review is tottally unfair because we are not the ones responsible for the bad experience you had with the queues at toboggan.

Good value for money. Tuk tuk is a great way to see Funchal. Our driver was very interesting. I'd recommend this trip.

Fun Toboggan Ride

Our guide was the lovely Margarida who took us up to Monte, walked with us to the ticket office for the toboggan and made sure we knew where to go. The toboggan was fun and we were lucky as there were no long queues. Our guide met us at the end and as we still had time she took us to a local bakery to try the Cheesecake. It was unique. She then took us to a fortress which had a lovely view of Funchal. Overall a lovely morning.

Tobaggon tour so much fun with a super guide!

We had the pleasure of having the same tour guide, Joao, as we had with our first tukxi tour. This Tobaggon ride was awesome and so much fun! Joao as usual went above and beyond, helped us get our tickets for the ride then stood in line for us so we could look around the property to get nice photos. He waited for us at the bottom of the hill after the ride then allowed us to do a little souvenir shopping at the tobaggon ride shop. We left there then he showed us more places to eat on the way back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this guide, he tailors any tour he gives to the personalities of his clients. Super tour and guide!!!

Really great experience, you get to see much more of the City and learn about it from a local resident as part of the experience than you would by taking a taxi or making your own way around. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone visiting Funchal!
