Overview
Head to the Italian Riviera on a day trip from Florence to the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site made up of five cliffside villages perched dramatically on the sea. After the drive from Florence, you’ll travel by boat (weather dependent) and short train rides to the villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, and either Riomaggiore or Manarola. You'll also have free time for swimming or to explore the workshops of local artisans.

- If the Cinque Terre & Pisa tour is selected: the itinerary includes visits to Manarola and Monterosso. All train tickets are included: Local trains inside Cinque Terre + Train ride from la Spezia to Pisa. In Pisa, enjoy free time before your timed entrance to the Leaning Tower.

Christiana and our driver were fantastic. We were slightly disappointed as we thought the activity included the visit to Pisa. We truly believed the optional lunch also included the visit to the tower and that we had selected everything when signing up. So verify, verify, verify what is actually included as the sign up was not clear, nor or the tickets that are issued. Regardless Cinque Terre is an absolute must do! Christiana was fun and attentive and gave great recommendations for each village.

This a 12 hour day but it is worth it! Sandro was our guide for the day and he was the best! Sandro knew all the shortcuts so that we got to spend the maximum time in each location and explaining along the way the history of Cinque Terre. We took the coach escort which was cheaper than with meal and train package. At the event day, we enjoyed a lot in Cinque Terre and had a wonderful meal on our own. We reserved around 1 hour to take the train back to meeting point, which would only take 15-20 minues ride. However, we forgot here is Italy. The train got delayed a lot (more than 40 minutes to reach the village we were at, but there were many trains in the morning to early afternoon). So I texted the tour leader to wait us around 20 minues because of this out of control situation. But the tour leader denied and just discarded us in Cinque Terre. My personal stuff was on the coach as the tour leader said we could leave there. We had to buy train tickets and transferred twice (one in La Spezia and one in Pisa) to get back to Florence. One of the transferred train was canceled in the middle of nowhere as well. We suffered a lot that night to get back to Florence. For my personal stuff, we had to wake up at 5am and took the bus to the same meeting point in Florence to take it back.
I recommend trying to plan your trip with the train directly. You will save a lot of money and have more time to enjoy the views there. With this group, you are not responsible for making sure you can get back with them unless you buy the high-priced fully escorted trip (eat what they plan and just take a short glance at the views).

I was extremely disappointed in this experience. We were 4 minutes late as we were confused as to where to meet. 4 minutes late and we missed the bus!! This is unacceptable . We are waiting to hear if we get a refund.

Most of the day includes traveling. I felt there was not enough time in each place to actually enjoy it . The tour guide was friendly and it was not her fault. The planning of the tour was poor as too much was planned for time allotted. The drop off point when we finished was not close to taxis and poorly marked. The area visited is extremely beautiful but the crowds made it difficult to appreciate its beauty .

This day trip was a perfect outing for a quick tour of 3 of the 5 villages of Cinque Terre. Our guide, Marta, is absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable.
