Overview

Florence's Accademia gallery is home to some of the world's most famous works of art, including Michelangelo's "David" sculpture—but as a result, queues for entry can be over two hours long. We loved the exhibit. But your service was non existent. The guide was 30 minutes late. He handed us a ticket , told us to wait in a line and then disappeared. No explanation of what to expect. It caused a lot of anxiety. Like I said, your service was worthless, or worse.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify what happened, as we completely understand how the situation may have been confusing. Our guide did not disappear. After meeting you, he escorted you to the red point, which is the priority entrance for guests with reserved tickets. The blue line, on the other hand, was the regular entrance for visitors without reservations, and on that day the waiting time there was more than 1 hour and 30 minutes. The delay you experienced before entering the museum was therefore caused by the museum’s entrance procedures, not by our service. Once our guide had correctly placed you at the red point and made sure you were in the priority entrance, he returned to the meeting point to assist our other scheduled clients. We sincerely apologize that this was not explained clearly enough to you at the time. We understand that, without this information, it could have felt like you were left without assistance. We will make sure our instructions are clearer in the future so our guests feel confident and informed throughout the process. This was to access skip the line tickets. If you can purchase the tickets in advance from the official website, there’s no need to pay for this service. We weren’t able to, so this worked out for us. The rep we met (Denise) was very friendly and she helped us get in the correct line and handed us our tickets. That’s all that was included in the service and they delivered what they promised.

Absolute waste of money. Sure, we jumped in front of a few queuing people, but the lines were moving pretty quickly for all lines. The guidance from the booking confirmation stated that someone would be there, with a sign, to greet us and hand over the tickets, effectively sounding like we would be well taken care of. We arrived 15 minutes early, to chaos. I managed to find a self elected manager of all things queue wise, he told me our lady would be here, just wait. I went and found this guy again after waiting to the set meeting time, then our ‘hostess’ came out of nowhere, no sign nor id to be seen. This ‘greeting’ was a grunt to confirm our name, tickets which were timed half an hour before our booking time (so we could have been in the queue earlier), and told to go to a particular queue. Then she disappeared as quickly as she arrived. Once in the directed queue we stood, and stood, and stood. I don’t know about you, but my idea of purchasing a ‘jump the queue’ is just that. You pay quite a bit for a time slot and you enter at that time. Yep, not in this case - it was twenty minutes of waiting on top of the waiting to find our host - more than half an hour of your day at least. This is a shoddily run operation, seemingly money grabbing at its finest and I would not suggest that our hostess could be considered friendly in any way. Do not be misguided, this probably saved us ten minutes tops, on top of the general queue. While waiting we watched guided groups, whose hosts were very good, certainly friendly in appearance - I would suggest you spend money on this instead. Certainly wish I had. I dare say that I will not use this platform again.

Great experience, highly recommend early tour if possible since it does get crowded. Florence Elite Tours staff was very friendly and helpful, thanks to them and the museum staff entry was quick and easy. Our guide was thorough and very knowledgeable. The way she intentionally stopped at certain works to build a story arc of art history leading up to David gave us a lot of insight that we would have missed if just visiting alone. If you are traveling in the off season, there is no need to book a ticket through a tour operator for “skip the line”. Just purchase a normal Accademia ticket.

Florence Elite Tours gave us good customer service with this service to provide timed entry to the museum. Typically just a “meet and hand over the tickets “ type service, our host gave us above and beyond service and helped us find a place to leave a small bag that was not allowed in the museum.

The tickets are not skip the line, the person distributing the tickets is effectively unrecognisable - you would need to ask random people to understand who actually holds the tickets

Hello. I was waiting for youu to the meeting on time. Also I made a phone call, several times and no one answered. Anyway I served the tickets tou you on time and I accompanied your family until the entrance through the red point. I apologize that you had to wait only 10 minutes for the security check, the museum was running late. The general line was 3 hours though, and you skipped that ☺️

Skipping the line is the best thing we paid for this trip. The queue outside the museum is disgustingly long and if it were a hot day or you hate being stranding in the baking sun pay the extra money. We met the ticket agent, she ushered us past the line and through security swiftly and left us to explore on our own (we primarily wanted to see David and checked that off our list swiftly). Saved us precious time!

I arrived at the meeting point on time. When entering, I couldn’t go through the metal detector due to a pace maker. The guide and group did not wait for me, and I never saw them again. I walked around on my own. Very disappointed in this NON tour.

Easy! The young business owner called me ahead of time and met me personally to give me a ticket! Would use again! I waited for over an hour in the morning for entry but had to leave bc I had signed up for a painting class. I found this so was able to return in the afternoon to Gallerie Academia with a much shorter wait! (Still about 25 min - for timed entry)
