Go HUNGRY! Yassir was knowledgeable, hospitable and so generous. His English was great and his kindness greater. We wandered the maze of the medina tasting exotic morsels and ended up with a feast on the square. It was reassuring to know that no food goes to waste. Highly recommend!

We took a class with Bliss Munatas at a home in Fes. We asked specifically to make a bread and a pastry. She was very hands on and very instructive. Both dishes came out great and were very tasty. She was very accommodating in getting us to class and arranging a time that worked for us. She even called us a taxi after and recommended several local restaurants. We tried one and it was the best meal we’ve had in country. Highly recommend.

Our cooking class with Chaimae was one of the highlights of our stay in Fes. We chose to make Chicken Tajine and Pastilla, inspired by dishes we saw on her Instagram. Since the class takes place in her home, she provides an approximate address ahead of time and sends detailed meeting instructions the day before.
Her neighborhood isn't a tourist area, which we absolutely loved. We were greeted by local children in French, and a nearby bakery even offered us some pastries. After meeting Chaimae, we stopped at an olive shop and a butcher to pick up fresh ingredients. She then welcomed us into her family home, where we cooked together.
Chaimae explained all the spices and ingredients in detail, and we had such a great time chatting with her about Moroccan culture—festivals, traditional cooking tools, and more. She even sent her brother to help us buy a beautiful Tajine pot so we could recreate the recipes at home!
After preparing lunch, her aunt and sister joined us, and we all enjoyed the meal together. They even taught us a few basic Arabic phrases, making the experience even more memorable. Chaimae’s family was incredibly warm and welcoming, and we felt lucky to get a glimpse into their daily life.
After the class, we returned to the Medina with Chaimae and visited a local spice shop. The herbalist there was very knowledgeable and incredibly entertaining—we spent nearly an hour learning how herbs and oils are harvested. While we usually buy high-quality spices at home, the quality here was exceptional.
We recommend not booking anything immediately after the cooking class so you can fully enjoy the extended spice tour. Chaimae is a wonderful young woman—friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely caring throughout the experience. We highly recommend her cooking class!
