Take command of your own mini-speedboat for a half-day of snorkeling and navigating among the beautiful tropical islands just off Puerto Rico’s east coast. Follow the lead of your certified guide as you pilot your own vessel with a convoy of other speedboats through the turquoise-blue waters of the La Cordillera Cays Nature Reserve. During the day, snorkel amidst schools of colorful fish and relax on stunning white-sand beaches. Meet your guide at Marina Puerto Chico in Fajardo to start your adventure. Listen to a pre-ride safety briefing and an orientation designed to help you learn how to pilot your mini boat. Then it's time to get into the water, with your guide to lead the way.
Drive your own little boat into the sea, taking in the views of the Fajardo area as you make your way out to La Cordillera Cays Nature Reserve. Stop to visit beautiful islands and do a bit of snorkeling in the warm, tropical waters. After your journey, you’ll follow your guide’s boat back to the shore.

We had so much fun! Our guides were awesome and it was a great blend of adventure and beauty. The boats go pretty fast and need to be driven by someone who feels comfortable out in the waves. Our day was moderately choppy. It was a blast!

AMAZING, must do! This was such a fun experience and I would certainly do it again. Our guides Chris and Jerome were top tier! The boats were super fun to drive and get out there and let loose and the snorkel experience was relaxing and low pressure with lots of pretty fish.

Great staff, great boats, watch the weather! Chris and Francisco were excellent, but said that the weather was "borderline." One couple turned back because of weather, and another couple had boat trouble. We made it back safely, but had to skip the snorkeling; the company said they would reach out with a credit, which is pending.

Overall, this experience had the potential to be really enjoyable, but there were a few issues that made it less comfortable than expected.
Chris, the lead, moved at a pace that felt too fast for much of the group. As an experienced boater, I was able to keep up, but many others were not. It seemed like the group’s comfort level wasn’t fully taken into account, and at times we were moving quickly through waves in a way that felt uncomfortable for several people, including my daughter.
The snorkeling portion was underwhelming. The equipment provided was low quality, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience without constantly dealing with water in the snorkel. At this price point, upgrading the gear would make a noticeable difference.
It was also surprising to see guests using spray sunscreen without any guidance around reef-safe products. Some direction from the company on this would be appreciated.
José was excellent and worked hard throughout the experience.

Great trip to snorkel. I lost my camera off my snorkel and the boat captain found it,dove down and got it while it was still recording. She was super!!!!!!

Absolutely loved this excursion. The mini boats are a lot of fun and it’s nice to have your own and not be crowded with strangers. They do take a little getting used to. Some of the people on our tour struggled at first. But it’s totally worth it! The snorkeling is great as is the stop at Cayo Icacos, and our guide Jose was fantastic!

The trip was incredible, we drove our boat out to tortuous reef, snorkeled for about 45 minutes. There were beautiful fish all around the bait and the water was crystal clear. After snorkeling, we took a short ride to icacos and walked on the beach, relaxed in the waves, and explored the old pier. Jose and Luis were great guides and we had a fantastic experience.

Best experience ever! Nala and Jose were THE BEST GUIDES! Expect the first 45 minutes to be a briefing of the whole experience. And after that, THE FUN BEGINS! They will guide you through everything. You see fish, coral, get to hang on another island before you head back. Really great experience, will recommend to everyone and would 10/10 do again with Nala and Jose!

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. So memorable. Our guide was super friendly and helpful, led us through the coral reefs, and driving the mini boats was super fun. We will definitely do it again when we come back

With an absolutely perfect day - blue skies for miles, bright sunshine and calm clear water - this trip was the highlight of our stay in Puerto Rico! Excellent staff, Kevin and Jose, were a most important element in our fun as they went from guides to friends in short order. Inflatables are a blast and a fine way to access an outstanding reef for snorkeling where we were joined by parrotfish, blue tang, jacks, and a whole host of other beautiful fish. A special treat was communing with a big, friendly barracuda and a most curious cuttlefish which changed hues to match the reef's colorful background.

Kevin was our guide and we had the BEST DAY !
He definitely makes you feel safe and comfortable! He’s a sweetheart of a guy and he took such good care of us. Water was warm, saw tons of fish, turtles and even an octopus! Hung out on a beautiful beach too. Highly recommended the snorkel Safari!

I WILL NEVER DO BUISNESS WITH THEM AGAIN. I was not able to make this trip because I was not aware that the excursion is an hour and a half away from the port, and I have a heart condition that does not allow me to be that far from the ship. I emailed and told them and they said if we can sell you boar we will refund if not your out of luck BULL CRAP!!!!! Even if they sold it they wouldn't have told me so they still charged me and its not about the money its about the principle to me.

We do want to clarify a few details regarding your reservation. When you reached out just 2.5 hours before the tour, we did our best to resell your spaces. Unfortunately, this was a very short window, making it challenging to find a replacement on such short notice.
We also want to note that we provided all the necessary information, including the location of the tour, at the time of your booking. We also sent a reminder with the location details the day before your scheduled tour. We did not receive any prior concerns from you regarding the distance, which would have allowed us more time to assist you. As you know, Viator/TripAvisor has a 24 hour cancelation policy in order to be able to get a full refund. However, we always offer the resell option. That way we can request a refund for you in case spaces gets resold.
By the time you contacted us, our guide was already prepared, and the associated costs were invested. We care about principles as much as you do, and we strive to be as fair and transparent as possible. We are more than happy to provide proof that the space was not resold, should you need it.
