This experience was worth every penny. We learned so much about the process of making high quality balsamic. From start to finish it earned high marks. From Mariangela giving very concise directions for our train travel from Bologna to Vignoli, to her picking us up from the train station and bringing us back, to tasting her wonderful product paired with several different foods, we highly recommend this tour. We can't wait to taste the products we purchased, although their was no hard sell to buy anything. Thank you again to Mariangela (and her Mom) for this wonderful experience and sharing your love and enthusiasm for your family's generations of balsamic production. Grazie!

What a very special place to visit. Our host was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about her craft and it was an honor to have it shared with us during our visit. The food pairing with the vinegar samples were absolutely delicious especially the bacon wrapped prunes. Will never look at a bottle of balsamic vinegar the same way again after this day.

I can't say enough good things about this experience. Communication was excellent, starting on WhatsApp a few days before the tour, when Mariangela helped me figure out the best way to manage our luggage and get to Vignola from Bologna. She even changed the start time of our tour by 45 minutes to fit the train schedule. We felt like family from the moment Giovanna picked us up at the Vignola train station. The tour started in the car, with her sharing the family history and her passion for the business that her husband's grandfather started as a hobby. The tour itself was fantastic - located at the family's home, where three generations live and were coming and going about their daily lives. The tour officially started with a walk through the vinegar production area, then moved on to a seated tasting and lesson on the different types of vinegar and pairings, and ended with some incredible snacks made by Giovanna herself to feature the pairings. We brought home several bottles of our favourites and are so excited to use the different sabas and vinegars where they're paired best. Balsamic vinegar will never taste the same again.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. This day trip was a highlight of our stay in Florence! Marie angels and Giovanna were so welcoming and accommodating. Giovanna picked us up at the train station in the rain and gave us a fabulous tour with all the history of their acetaia. We even had a delightful snack at the end so we could see how the different types are used. Just a wonderful tour!

This tour and family were so welcoming and informative about their family business and places around Italy that they recommend visiting. The balsamic vinegar was top notch! We purchased at the end and didn’t feel pushed to do so. The tour was in depth and I learned a lot. Definitely recommend!! I attended with a 7 & 11 year old, kids were a little bored with it but still learned and had fun.

This tour was so heartfelt and genuine! You could feel Giovanni’s pride throughout the whole visit and it was such a treat to be invited in to her family home. I learned so much about balsamic vinegar and the tasting was delicious. Giovanni makes all the refreshments her self and we were able to eat them in underneath the 250+yr old grape trees. One of my favorite activities I did in Italy for sure!

I can not say enough, this was one of the best experiences I will always remember! Not only is Giovanna an exceptional person. Giovanna's love and passion for her family, radiates in her presentation of truly explaining the process and art of their families passion to maintain tradition which began in their family over 100 years. It is an honor to say this is the most superior Saba and balsamic vinegar I have ever tasted that you feel the love. I am so happy they offer this tour!! Grazie!

What a great tour! You get to visit a home where the family has been making Balsamic vinegar for over 100 years. After a short presentation we sat in the lovely garden under an ancient grapevine and had some food to try with the Balsamic. We then went to see where all of the casks are kept which is where the magic happens. Afterward, if you want to buy anything you can get it on site or shipped to you. Ours was at our door when we arrived home from our trip. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Such a wonderful tour - we had a lovely morning with Giovanna who showed us around and shared her family’s history with us. Giovanna made us feel very welcome and even prepared the most wonderful plates of food to showcase the family’s balsamic products.

This was an amazing experience! Giovanna was led us through her beautiful gardens and acetaia. It was special to be at her home rather than a factory style setting. We had the opportunity to taste many ages and variations of balsamic vinegar. She taught us all about how it is made and the types of barrels and aging process. We were able to purchase and send home from her New York connection. Wonderful!

We were welcomed even though I had made a mistake when making our reservation. Our host and the owner greeted us with surprise upon our unexpected arrival and graciously lead us on informative tour of the family history and current operation of their vinegar production process. I felt that we could not have found a more authentic experience and truly delicious tasting! We purchased some vinegars and will be enjoying our bit of Modena soon with the recipes that came with the gift pack.
Prego!

An absolutely wonderful visit at a family producer, lead by the wife of the owner. Very personable, friendly, informative. But above all the pride and love for their product and the Traditional Balsamic culture came out through out the visit. in the end we enjoyed home made snacks prepared just for us adorned with traditional balsamic. As an old gearhead I visited all the temples of racing in the area. But I rate this visit as the best experience of my time in Emilia-Romana. The drive is a bit out of the way but it gives you a chance to look at the land and the crops these people love and cherish. DO NOT MISS.

We had a wonderful time with Giovanna touring their lovely estate and sampling the aceto. She is rightfully very proud of her family's tradition and products. We immediately recommended the trip to our friends in the area.

Very interesting tour. Family history as well as full explanation of the Balsamic process. Nice table of very tasty hors d'oeuvres using balsamic vinegar. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you,
You can get there by bus from Modena. Bus schedules are convenient for the tour, but be careful to be on time for the bus back to Modena

Oor tour was a great experience, enhanced by Giovanna's obvious passion for traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena and love for her family. My husband, my sister and I all loved the experience, and recommend it highly.

We were so glad we chose to to visit this acetaia for a balsamic vinegar tour and tasting. First of all, don't be confused with simple balsamic vinegar, or even balsamic vinegar of Modena. Those two are not the best stuff on earth. "Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena" is the one and only, and is what this family has been making on this beautiful estate for generations. We were made to feel like guests in their home, and had an absolutely wonderful time.

We were so happy we chose this tour. First of all, don't confuse balsamic vinegar or balsamic vinegar of Modena with "Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena". The first two aren't the best stuff on earth which is what's been made here for generations. There's a BIG difference! Mariangela is extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel like guests in her family's beautiful residence and acetaia. We were sad to leave!

My husband and I drove to Modena to visit this manufacturer of Aceto balsamico and it was a very delightful experience. We've learn the process of producing and taste one of the best balsamic in the world. One of the owners gave us the tour and she was a smart and sweet lady.I highly recommend it!!
