Great tour of Edinburgh Castle! The local kilted guide was outstanding! So knowledgeable, congenial and good humored. He shared lots of interesting historical details as we toured the castle and its grounds. His insights on Scotish history were so interesting! We could tell he loves his job. Great tour, Alister is fantastic!! This one’s a must do if you go to Edinburgh. And if you take the morning tour you can see the cannon fire at 1.

Very entertaining and informative. The tour guide was great. Worth the money and 1:30 mins is perfect timewise. 11:30am is a good time to see the cannon being fired at 1pm.

Ben was articulate and very knowledgeable about the castle. Only thing I wish I had known is that after the actual tour, you had time to explore on your own. Unfortunately we booked another tour shortly after and were unable to spend more time at the castle. This was nothing against Ben…he did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him.

A great tour! If you’re going to the castle I recommend going with this tour instead of blindly walking around . You’ll get the back history to the castle and the land, Scottish and UK history and some fun facts to bring home! You can still tour the grounds yourself after if you need more time
