Itinerary
This Dublin Traditional Irish Musical Pub Crawl is a fun, engaging, and informative evening of Irish culture. It’s led by two Irish musicians who provide an overview of the importance of music in Irish culture. There is a live performance at each stop you make. Drinks aren’t included with the tour (but may be purchased at your own expense); however, this tour does provide seating in private rooms at the pubs visited that night. Seats are extremely hard to come by in Dublin’s bustling pubs, and this is a special treat.
There are two evening tour times to choose from when booking and both begin in central Dublin. The earlier tour finishes at Flanagan’s for dinner, and the later tour ends at Brannigan’s off O’Connell Street. The musicians are your guides for the evening, and everyone walks together to the two pubs on the tour.

We had a fantastic first night in Dublin. Steven provided us with a humorous and informative introduction to Irish music and pubs. Steven’s guitar playing and Kevin’s fiddle playing made for an entertaining evening. Steven also shared some excellent recommendations for local pubs that offer great music with fewer tourists.

A great, intimate evening! There are a lot of opportunities to listen to live music in Dublin, but not as many getting to interact with the musicians. Would definitely recommend!

Great experience and wonderful musicians / guides! A unique way to experience Dublin and Irish culture.

Such a fun time! We only had two nights in Dublin and this was the perfect start for one of them. When the event was over, the artists gave suggestions of where to head for more authentic, session music.

This was our third time taking this tour, and that should tell you something! Every time we visit Ireland, especially Dublin, we make sure it’s part of our itinerary.
What we love most is that no two experiences have been exactly the same. Each tour has introduced us to something new about traditional Irish folk music, while still being just as entertaining, authentic, and enjoyable as the last.
A quick note: this is not your typical pub crawl. Instead of hopping from bar to bar, you visit a couple of charming, cozy pubs where talented musicians bring Irish music and culture to life. The walking is easy, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the experience feels genuine rather than touristy.
Great value, great fun, and a wonderful way to learn more about Ireland's musical heritage. We highly recommend it and, without a doubt, we'll be back again on our next trip to Dublin. A definite must-do! Marguerite & partner where amazing!

A delightful experience, and a great way to learn about Irish music traditions. It was funny, fun, and interactive. The musicians love what they do, and worked hard to get everyone involved.

Informative. Fun early evening with many like-minded people. Enjoyed insights into a part of traditional Irish culture. Good music. Great bar selection and service if so inclined.

The pub crawl musical experience was the best thing we did in Dublin. The two musicians were world class (literally) and took the time to give history and context to the Irish musical tradition.
We started at the Ha'Penny Bridge Inn for about 45 minutes and then walked as a group to Flanagan's for about another hour of music. It was phenomenal.

We found the music delightful and the 2 pubs fun to visit. Steps did make this a bit challenging for my husband, but we were VERY glad we did it. We are not Sri Orrs but still had fun!

We had a fun time in this pub crawl with Irish music!! My dad even got to try and play the harp :)!!

I was expecting simply Irish music in Irish pubs. What I got was alot more. This a was master class is Irish music. I was able to see where the music of Appalachia in the states was derived which eventually evolved into bluegrass music. This was fantastic fun.

It was fun. Arrive early to get a seat close to the singers. They do not use microphones or amps so if you're in the back, you can't hear everything
Kate_R, May 2026
A must. Music history and storytelling. Margarite and Steve worked well together weaving in between styles of music and instruments. If you want to hear real Irish music take this tour.

The music was authentic and from the heart. Loved it!!! Would recommend this to anyone who loves Irish music

The musicians/hosts were amazing! I would highly recommend this!
What was not good was that it was a long walk for my father-in-law. I put these notes in my booking that I had elderly with mobility challenges due to a heart issue. I noted he would need help. Before we walked, I let the hosts know and they said it wasn’t far. It turned out to be too far and we would have rather had a ride for him. The lack of communication from viator to the hosts for this need was frustrating and left him to feel pressured to push it, which in the end was not good….

It was a really fun way to learn about Irish music and experience 2 pubs. The performers were great entertainers with both their stories and their music.

Excellent and lots of fun!
The musicians are very talented and love how they brought out the talents of those with us that night! Enjoyed the story telling and introduction to the instruments
Nice to have it in a private space so we could enjoy singing together and not be interrupted
For us it was a perfect way to cap off our week long adventure through Ireland
I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable two hours of raw Irish mush at two Irish pubs with funny stories and history of musical instruments.

Lots of great music with fun and interesting stories! If you’re hungry, though, eat before it starts. Not easy to get a bite while it’s going on.
Kellie_P, Apr 2026
We had a great time. Both venues were
great, plenty of space. Over 60 in attendance. Music was fantastic and so were the stories. Really glad we chose this event.
Tab_K, Apr 2026
The tour is led by 2 musicians. We liked the old Irish songs and the stories they told us about the music. They sang and played a variety of instruments. Most enjoyable evening.
Troy_B, Apr 2026
Great time. The musicians were engaging and entertaining. My group left having a much fuller understanding of irish music and the pub culture. Much different than visitinv pubs on our own time. Highly recommend.
Kim_K, Apr 2026
It was a wonderful time and a great 1st day experience as our introduction to Ireland. The performers were so fun and engaging. I highly recommend.
Stephanie_S, Mar 2026
Great fun and you’re going to learn about Irish music as well as see it in action. Booked this because we needed to stay awake after arrival in Dublin . It did that and more.
SUZETTE_O, Oct 2025
A flawless 10/10 experience! It exceeded all our expectations. The talent, entertainment, and laughter set the perfect tone for our trip, an unforgettable kickoff!
Sue_R, Oct 2025
I would highly recommend this tour, extremely enjoyable and very interactive. The music is excellent along with the stories that sit behind them all delivered with the expected wit and humour from the Irish
Susan_M, Oct 2025
Exceptionally talented Kevin (fiddle) and Booster (guitar) regaled us for over 3 hours with a variety of traditional Irish jigs, reels and tearful love songs, embellished by Irish tall tales and the poignt history of the Emerald Isle. There were visitors from 6 different countries the evening we went, and we all joined in the laughter and singing of "Johnny Jump Up" with great encouragement from Booster and Kevin!!
The seating arrangements were a first come better seating style, so my suggestion would be to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the designated start time.
It was a memorable evening, and the Irish music will stay in your heart for years...the best kind of souvenir!!!!
