Itinerary
This Dublin Traditional Irish Musical Pub Crawl is a fun, engaging, and informative evening of Irish culture. It’s led by two Irish musicians who provide an overview of the importance of music in Irish culture. There is a live performance at each stop you make. Drinks aren’t included with the tour (but may be purchased at your own expense); however, this tour does provide seating in private rooms at the pubs visited that night. Seats are extremely hard to come by in Dublin’s bustling pubs, and this is a special treat.
There are two evening tour times to choose from when booking and both begin in central Dublin. The earlier tour finishes at Flanagan’s for dinner, and the later tour ends at Brannigan’s off O’Connell Street. The musicians are your guides for the evening, and everyone walks together to the two pubs on the tour.

Did not disappoint! Such a great night of stories, singing, and incredible music. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful evening learning about and experiencing traditional Irish music. It was a great introduction to our time in Ireland! We purchased the downloadable music and enjoyed listening to it as we started our road trip around southwestern Ireland. And we'll enjoy having that as a momento of our holiday.

Casual and breezy — the hosts are in it for the right reasons and they have a lot of knowledge to share

Daoiri on Bazouki & Owen (not the write spelling) on uilleann pipes were excellent musicians and wonderful story tellers who provided us with an amazing evening of music. We spent the evening with ~30 other travelers listening, singing along, and enjoying some good Irish beer and cider. I highly recommend taking this musical journey while you are visiting Dublin!

Travel to 2 bars with highly experienced performers! We loved the music and personalities! It was a highlight of our trip!

This was our first time in Dublin so a pub crawl sounded like a great way to be introduced to the city and music. Our guides were great at telling us history of the 2 pubs, the city and the music they played for us. I liked how they tried to bring us in by asking someone in the tour to sing or play an instrument. It was hot so I was not comfortable for the first half (no fault of the guides or tour) but the second half was cooler so got to relax. I would have liked one more pub but understand the feedback has been 2 is enough. Thank you!

Im glad you enjoyed the Tour, Europe is having a heatwave at the moment and Ireland is not used to them so only about 30% of venues would have air conditioning. We get a heatwave every 30 years or so.

We had an amazing time on the Trad Pub Crawl! It was the perfect mix of live traditional Irish music, local history, and great pubs. The musicians were incredibly talented, and the stories and historical background between stops made the experience even more interesting. We enjoyed some great beer, met friendly people, and had so much fun throughout the evening. If you’re visiting Dublin and want an authentic, entertaining night out, I highly recommend this tour!

Trad music is at the heart of any experience in Ireland. We were so grateful that we took this tour with two musicians who introduced us to the instruments, stories, and importance of trad music to the history of Ireland. It set a foundation for all of our other trad music experiences in our Ireland adventure. Then bonus is that is was not only educational, but it was some of the best music that we heard on our trip from very accomplished musicians.

Great intro to Irish music and culture. Really enjoyed the banter and music. Thanks for sharing your experience and culture with the world.

This was a great introduction to the music and pubs in Ireland. The musicians were very talented and had a lot of interesting background knowledge about Irish music. Definitely worth it!

Great way to kick off our stay in Dublin! The evening starts on the second floor of a local pub, where two musicians/tourguides share their talents while learning about Irish music. After about an hour we walked to the second pub, which is more of a speakeasy where the music and fun commentary continues. Booster and Nile were a lot of fun!

I have attended many of these evenings and this one was exceptional… the artists, Steven and Kevin…. Were so great! Steven played guitar and sang, and Kevin played the violin … both excellent musicians! Their stories were relevant and engaging… they invited several audience members to participate and wow! A pianist played a sing- a -long of a Billy Joel song, another man played guitar and sang Grace, a classic Irish song, and a lovely woman played the harp!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening
Bravo!

On our arrival day we wanted something “Irish and fun”. This pub crawl did not disappoint. We had a great time and the musicians Nikes and Booster were great. One thing to note was how the experience was executed. I didn’t realize, and maybe you don’t either, so that’s why I’m sharing. I did not understand it would be the same two musicians playing, and just moving to another bar. You start at your meeting point down by Ha’Penny bridge, and it’s a great cute Irish feeling bar. Lots of old wood and what I would consider a traditional Irish looking pub. These guys played amazing and it was enjoyable, both the commentary and music. Then you pack up and move along to another bar on O’Connell’s street across the Ha’Penny bridge. No more than a 10-15 flat walk. We ended up at another restaurant and I expected two other musicians but it was the same great two guys playing there. They were great, so who cares, but I just didn’t understand that, because why move? Except for then it could be called the “pub crawl” name and for marketing that makes it more exciting I think? The second place was in the basement of a restaurant and didn’t seem as “authentic” as the first place to me. (But that’s just my opinion of course). It was still a blast and I would do it again. Hosts were great and really gave their all to show us a good time! Great musicians also!!
Mike_B, Jun 2026
There are only 2 stops. The final stop is a restaurant that is just ok, not great.
The guys were nice but seemed to forget more than they remembered.
Music was good, not as fun as I had hoped.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Yes we only ever go to two pubs. It's all about the music and we describe the tour as a moving concert. Guests live having guaranteed seating and a great re at show as its impossible to find seats in music pubs in dublin. The last pub is underneath a restaurant.

A great beginning to our week in Dublin. We took this tour our first evening there. Entertaining, informative and humorous.
Gary_C, Jun 2026
We had a fantastic first night in Dublin. Steven provided us with a humorous and informative introduction to Irish music and pubs. Steven’s guitar playing and Kevin’s fiddle playing made for an entertaining evening. Steven also shared some excellent recommendations for local pubs that offer great music with fewer tourists.
Kaitryn_J, Jun 2026
A great, intimate evening! There are a lot of opportunities to listen to live music in Dublin, but not as many getting to interact with the musicians. Would definitely recommend!
Jordan_E, Jun 2026
Great experience and wonderful musicians / guides! A unique way to experience Dublin and Irish culture.
Claire_C, Jun 2026
Such a fun time! We only had two nights in Dublin and this was the perfect start for one of them. When the event was over, the artists gave suggestions of where to head for more authentic, session music.
Eliana_S, Jun 2026
This was our third time taking this tour, and that should tell you something! Every time we visit Ireland, especially Dublin, we make sure it’s part of our itinerary.
What we love most is that no two experiences have been exactly the same. Each tour has introduced us to something new about traditional Irish folk music, while still being just as entertaining, authentic, and enjoyable as the last.
A quick note: this is not your typical pub crawl. Instead of hopping from bar to bar, you visit a couple of charming, cozy pubs where talented musicians bring Irish music and culture to life. The walking is easy, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the experience feels genuine rather than touristy.
Great value, great fun, and a wonderful way to learn more about Ireland's musical heritage. We highly recommend it and, without a doubt, we'll be back again on our next trip to Dublin. A definite must-do! Marguerite & partner where amazing!
Billie_H, Jun 2026
A delightful experience, and a great way to learn about Irish music traditions. It was funny, fun, and interactive. The musicians love what they do, and worked hard to get everyone involved.
Patrick_L, May 2026
Informative. Fun early evening with many like-minded people. Enjoyed insights into a part of traditional Irish culture. Good music. Great bar selection and service if so inclined.
Gabrielle_H, May 2026
The pub crawl musical experience was the best thing we did in Dublin. The two musicians were world class (literally) and took the time to give history and context to the Irish musical tradition.
We started at the Ha'Penny Bridge Inn for about 45 minutes and then walked as a group to Flanagan's for about another hour of music. It was phenomenal.
Merribeth_N, May 2026
We found the music delightful and the 2 pubs fun to visit. Steps did make this a bit challenging for my husband, but we were VERY glad we did it. We are not Sri Orrs but still had fun!
Lauren_K, May 2026
We had a fun time in this pub crawl with Irish music!! My dad even got to try and play the harp :)!!
Luther_C, May 2026
I was expecting simply Irish music in Irish pubs. What I got was alot more. This a was master class is Irish music. I was able to see where the music of Appalachia in the states was derived which eventually evolved into bluegrass music. This was fantastic fun.
