Walking information

Interesting stories about locals and their history. Nice walking pace. All outside, no entry to buildings.

Fascinating!

Heather_P, Jun 2026
We took this tour the day after our arrival to Dublin. Our guide was Lee and he was fantastic! His love of Dublin and its history was evident and his energy and story telling skills made the tour both interesting and entertaining. I learned so much in the 2 hours we had together. History is so fascinating, especially haunted history. If you’re a fan of horror or the macabre, I would definitely recommend this tour.

Family fun with teens

Katie_G, Jun 2026
We did a Saturday evening tour with Lee! My husband, and two teenage sons (19 & 15) along with a group of about 25 walked a loop of Dublin. Lee was a fabulous storyteller and was really funny! The tour was fun and informative and we all had a great time while learning some of Dublin’s dark history. You can but don’t have to be a ghost lover to enjoy this tour! There was some Dublin history learned at every stop!

Entertaining and informative

Be prepared to do a lot of walking over cobblestone streets. I enjoyed this excursion very much. The tour guide was very informative and entertaining He was very knowledgeable of the history behind the stories, I enjoyed listening to him very much. He had a great voice that carried well to the group and I could understand him good.

Great Walking Tour Of Haunted Dublin

Regina_G, Jun 2026
This was a very interesting and fun tour of haunted Dublin. Kevin was great - he added plenty of humor and made you think if the paranormal in this tour is in fact real! Enjoyed him throughly and enjoyed that all things Kevin (St. Kevin) were named after him!! 🤭🤣

About 2h, easy walk through the city, funny guide, educational. Would recommend. You learn a lot of history, if ghosts aren’t your thing.

Lee was great!!

Great tour and a wonderful guide, Lee. Lee was a great story teller, sharing all the ghost stories along with humor! We had a great time!

A great trip around some...

Joshua_B, May 2026
A great trip around some parts of Dublin that you may or may not go to. Ross was our guide and he told some great stories about the secrets of Dublin that are not well known. He had a great sense of theatre and the walking isn't that hard. Would recommend but don't expect to actually see ghosts, but if you do I don't know if that means you are lucky or not.

Fun Night Tour

Jess_D, May 2026
We really enjoyed this haunted walking tour. The stories were fun and engaging, and we especially loved that so much of the experience involved walking around and seeing different parts of the area while hearing the history and ghost stories connected to each stop. The only part I wasn’t a big fan of was the ghost story at the theatre. We were told about a little boy who supposedly haunts the property, and when I asked if the guide knew how the child died, he said no. However, he then suggested I look it up on YouTube. Since we were paying for a guided tour centered around these stories, I felt like the guide should have been more familiar with the background of the ghosts being discussed. Overall, it was still a fun experience with great stories and a nice walking route.

too much walking

50luckycharms, May 2026
I knew I signed up for a walking ghost tour, but apparently, Dublin defines “walking” as training for a Viking pilgrimage. 😅 The guide was a great storyteller, and some of the stories were genuinely interesting, but 2.5 hours of nonstop walking through crowded cobblestone streets was a LOT. At one point we walked completely around a giant building in a circle for the pig story, when a quick trip down the alley probably would’ve done the trick. By the end, this chubby American tourist was seeing spirits without any paranormal assistance. The real horror was realizing we still had more walking left. My biggest issue was how hard it was to follow the guide in crowds. He carried a green umbrella to identify himself, but kept it closed and held it over his head like a decorative spear. Opening it would have made him MUCH easier to spot, and I’m pretty sure several people got separated along the way. The tour also ended far from where it started, outside a medical building in another part of the city, and we got pretty lost trying to find our way back afterward. Overall: great stories and good atmosphere, but my calves are now officially part of Irish folklore. If you have mobility issues, hate endless walking, or aren’t prepared for Ghost Tour: Endurance Edition™, this may not be the haunting for you. 👻

Response from Host, May 2026

Hi there, I’m sorry to see that you felt it fit to only give this tour 2 stars. We genuinely don’t want anybody to come away from a tour with us feeling like they had anything other than an amazing experience. I do however, think you are being very unfair. I don’t really understand your reasoning for 2 stars. You said yourself, the guide was a great storyteller, the stories were interesting, the fact that the walk was too much for you is in no way a reflection of our business. If we did less walking, people would complain that they didn’t see enough of the city; it’s literally called a walking tour. Dublin is a very small city, it’s easy to get around, and I’m sorry if this was too much for you but I don’t think that’s any reflection of the wonderful tour we’ve created here. “The tour also ended far from where it started, outside a medical building in another part of the city, and we got pretty lost trying to find our way back afterward.” The tour started on Crown Alley, our meeting point, and ended outside the Royal College of Surgeons to talk about Body snatchers in the 19th century. “Outside a medical building in another part of the city” is very disingenuous. It’s a historical building and it’s on St Stephens Green. That’s an 11 minute walk from where you started. It’s right in the centre of town. It’s literally on the product page where you booked, where the tour starts and ends. If crowds are crazy, we encourage guides to open their umbrellas to be more visible; it’s at the guides discretion. I have no reports of anybody losing the guide on the night in question, and I have a lot of great feedback for this particular tour, too from the other guests. Did you at any point say to your guide that you were having trouble seeing him and that you would like him to open his umbrella? If you did not, then why do you feel so comfortable complaining about it in a review? I would ask you to reflect on this review, and ask yourself honestly, does this business deserve a 2 star review, or was this tour just not suitable for me personally?

A fun spooky tour of Dublin!

Wendy_S, May 2026
The tour was so fascinating! Our guide, Ciaran, was funny and very informative about Dublin’s dark history of ghosts and executions. My favorite part was learning how Bram Stoker got his inspiration for writing Dracula during his life. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves horror and to learn more about Dublin’s history.

Phenomenal Tour with knowledgeable and entertaining guide!

Margaret_W, May 2026
Highly recommend this tour with detailed description of past Dublin history. Very informative tour and entertaining as well!

Should have done it earlier in our trip!

Katie_S, May 2026
I usually like to end a trip to a new city with a ghost tour, but after the one we took with Ross in Dublin, I totally regret not doing it earlier in our stay! Not only did Ross give us great ghost stories, he shared recs for places to eat and explore while in town too. I loved the way he wove in Irish folklore into his stories as well- I’ll never look at a hair comb on the ground the same way again. IYKYK.
