This tour was so fun. We didn’t know much about Irish history or folklore, so as our first day in Dublin, it was a good way to get a crash course. It was nice to also get a lay of the land. Emily was a lovely tour guide! My kids (10 and 13) were entertained the whole time.

Stories define our cultures and our lives; learning the stories underpinning this bustling, modern city gives the travel experience more depth and meaning. While each tour guide tells the stories with their own individual spin, Helena did a marvelous job tying the stories of the past to Dublin’s present — it was educational, fascinating, and, at times, laugh-out-loud funny. Thank you, Helena! Of note: wear great walking shoes, bring season-appropriate outerwear (and an umbrella), and use the restroom before the tour starts! Tours meet directly in front of the Old Storehouse pub in Temple Bar (we were never able to find the address). Your tour guide will have a green umbrella.

Wonderful tour through Dublin. Our guide, Ross, was so knowledgeable and funny. It was a truly delightful experience. I would recommend it to anyone interested in local folklore.

Helena is an exceptional guide, and this is a wonderful tour. I heard stories I've long loved along with new ones that were truly great to learn about. Unlike many Dublin tours I've been on, this one actually crossed the river and we wrapped up on the north side of the city, which was very pleasant. All around a lovely tour and a great way to spend an evening in Dublin

Very entertaining! Helena was great! Expect to walk about 2 hours but not difficult with stops along the way.

Great tour! Dave was incredibly knowledgeable and was great with all the questions from the group. I also appreciated all the post tour recommendations. Highly recommend both tour and tour guide.

Ross shared so many interesting stories! Loved the way he tells stories: definitely has the gift of gab. One note: he’s a fast walker! We made the rookie mistake of booking two walking tours the same day and this was our second. We were dragging by the end, but Ross is a great tour guide.

Started late, could not find guide until after start time. Had to bail on the tour because I had another appointment

An entertaining walk around Dublin learning not only about myths and legends, but also how those stories have tied into the history of Ireland as well. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, providing a far more educational journey than we had expected. Would highly recommend!

Learned so much on this tour! Dave, our tour guide, was amazing! It’s amazing how much of the folklore of the Irish is built into the architecture of the city. This tour will show you the city in a whole new light!

We loved this fascinating blend of mythology and history which added another dimension to our understanding of Irish culture and identity. Helena was very friendly and managed to include our whole group. Her humour, passion and knowledge made this tour a real highlight.

We loved this tour! Alan was so informative and kind. We learned so much and had a great time. Loved how mythology connects to present day in so many ways.
Margie_S, Sep 2025
There’s a lot of walking, but the tour guide was very tolerant of slow walkers. I learned a lot of things.
Esther_S, Sep 2025
Some walks, lots of standing. Our guide, Helena was very knowledgeable and informative. She not only knew her stuff, but could also answer questions.

Difficult to hear the guide . The group was too large. The little we did hear was interesting but I would select o smaller group or an indoor activity .

This was such a great way to kick off my visit to Dublin. The walk wasn’t bad at all and helped me see the city a bit more. Emily was super friendly and kept me laughing. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful tour and great way to get to know Dublin! Dave was a lot of fun and able to answer every question about the tour/history itself or the surrounding Dublin area. He brought the Irish character and humor - would make Dublin feel more familiar and give it a deeper context to anyone coming to visit!

If you enjoy nerding out to myths, tales and folklore, you have come to the right place. if you are anything like us, you will be fully mesmerized for the entirety of the experience. There is something amazing about realizing how things come together, and are interconnected in complex small and big ways. our tour guide Emily was an absolute delight--she was hilarious, she is so intelligent, she was so patient with our many questions, and was just a super interesting funny intelligent human!!! this was our last activity before leaving dublin and ireland, and we were so grateful we were able to do it.
not only do you get the myths adn folklore but you also get a becautiful contextualization of the myths as they are embedded in Ireland's inspiring but often saddening history.
Emily is the best!!!

The information was interesting. The lore was great. But being on your feet, being taken here and there was irrelevant and tiring . Could just as well have been given as a performance or lecture.
Thomas_H, Sep 2025
Great time. Interesting. 2 hours well spent. Not too much walking. Great lknowledge. Yada yada yada.
Josie_L, Aug 2025
Really fun tour with great stories. It was a nice small group. The pace was good, especially after just getting off the plane. We appreciated that they offered later tours in the evening so we could go to museums during the day.

Very good captivating tour by Deidre. Linking the history, the mythology, and the current culture of Ireland.
She was very enthusiastic, passionate, and really conveyed the history and mythology of Ireland.
This walking tour was over two hours, and we went to four or five key locations in Dublin city centre.
Highly recommended.

I had no idea how much my friend and I would learn on this tour or that The Hulk had his roots in Irish history and mythology! Our guide Ross was knowledgeable, entertaining and shared stories in such a way as to leave me wanting to know more. A great and fun way to learn about Ireland!
