Don't. Not on time, poor signage, limited pickup points, driver bad attitude, couldn't hear speaker about Dublin, and i didn't or couldn't use it at all!!
Dublin with no ticket access.
Stacy_B, Sep 2024
The directions on where to find the stops were almost nonexistent. Tickets in my booking disappeared, tried the chat with no response. Called and were given wrong directions. Finally found a local to assist us. Found a stop after 45 minutes of walking. Driver was very helpful.

So so
Maureen_K, Sep 2024
The bus pick up time was too far apart. Also, our bus broke down and we were not offered a refund of any kind. We ended up getting a taxi. In addition the tour company should let us know the exact stops and include information that most stops need tickets in advance and the cost would be nice to know!

Get on the bus!!!!
John_R, Jul 2024
Easy way to get around to the top spots in Dublin. Many stops and easy access. Very effective for tourists
This bus tour was not a good way to spend our time or our money. I do not recommend it.
KATHY_S, Jul 2024
The route was modified (cut in half) because of an event in Dublin. We were not made aware of this when we purchased our tickets. We found out after we boarded the bus. The stops we wanted to see were all eliminated. It was a rainy day and the bus was leaking badly. You could tell that the leaks were not new because of the condition of the seats and walls near the leaks.

Not great

The buses rarely came by. The other hop on busses were a lot more regular. We ended up walking the route more than riding

It was great to take it around so that we could go around again and hop off to see what we wanted and easy to hop back on.
Dublin On Off Tour
Robert_W, Aug 2022
Very nice tour approximately 1.5 hrs round trip. Had a pick up delay at the Guinness Storehouse around an hour. On one occasion we sat at pick up point 1 for over 30 minutes before beginning the tour. Both only happened once during our 3 uses of the service.
Very informative tour over all.
Go ending
George_F, Sep 2019
Hop on hop off was great, the directions and info to the place to turn in the voucher was very lacking, the location to the ticket office should have said 1 hr and 20 min walk from the port. When we finally got on the bus we found the guides excellent.
Fantastic helpful staff for a lovely city
Philip_F, Sep 2019
We found the most helpful drivers and staff. Very helpful with lots of tips of must-see places. We also wanted to go somewhere called "Beggars Bush" and we were given helpful instructions of how to get there and the next day we got the same bus driver and he asked us if we found it ok and what our plans were next. I wish I could remember his name to say thanks again!
no bus
Fearless304395, Aug 2019
There seemed to be 3 companies that provide hop-on hop-off service in Dublin. I bought the one Viator offered and we never saw a bus from that company the entire day. I had bought 4 passes for my friends and I and I had to buy 4 more for the big red bus since the company Viator sold me the tickets for seemed not to exist. I bought many side trips from Viator and everywhere else they worked well. So it was around $80.00 wasted.
Disappointed
Pauline_W, Aug 2019
We ended up using "Do Dublin" Hop on Hop off which was very present. When we got to Dublin, we could not find the location for City Sightseeing to change our vouchers to tickets. "Do Dublin" was right there, rather than waste time trying to find the location, we bought tickets right on the bus - and used that extra time to take in the area. As we got around the area, we did not see many City Sightseeing buses and someone mentioned they were just getting into the area. I wish we would have known this ahead of time and naturally we could not "cancel" however would be interested to know if there was a way to get a refund due to the disappointment where we felt we could not use the vouchers.
Great way to explore Dublin
Pieter_H, Jul 2019
Great way to explore Dublin. But not that much busses as other company’s that offers the H-O-H-O possibility’s
Not Enough Buses
Patricia_L, Jun 2019
Buses were taking more than 20 minutes to arrive and often 2 of the "other" buses would stop before one City Seeing bus.I asked the driver how many buses were on the streets and was told 6.
Forget it
Mary_E, May 2019
Address given was wrong, spent two hours trying to find Viator. Very poor tour. Very disappointed and would not recommend taking. Another hop off tour was much more available and better.

Very good value. Went to all the stops we wanted to see, especially Guinness and Jameson!
I have always had a great experience...
Suzanne M, Aug 2017
I have always had a great experience with hop on and off buses both in the US and Europe but this was not the case in Dublin. I made the BIG MISTAKE of turning in my voucher to the Red hop on and off bus instead of the Green hop on and off Bus. My husband and I are active mid 60's but even at that it is nice to be able to get a seat to enjoy the adventure and sites when riding on the bus. Out of the many times that we hopped on and off in 2 days, we were actually able to sit twice the entire time while others were standing in the aisle everywhere. This is on top off having to stand in lines and not actually get on the bus because it was standing room only while we watched the Green buses and Yellow buses both hop on and off stop multiple times in front of us with seats available. It seems their answer on when will there be another bus is 5 minutes when actually we waited 20-45 minutes at the stops. Since this was our way of getting around to see the city the two days we were there, it was very irritating and not acceptable. So my advice - CHOOSE THE GREEN HOP ON HOP OFF BUS AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR VOUCHER TO THE RED HOP ON AND OFF. Inquire with Viator if your voucher is for any hop on off or just one color. Once the driver takes your voucher, you can not use the other buses like in cities such as Edinburgh where we found the hop on and off wonderful but I did use only Green although I could have interchanged. I hate giving one star but in this case, it is deserved.

Sandra_D, Aug 2016
A little difficult to find the tour office but we did after asking several people. Be sure and bring ear buds if you want to hear any of the commentary as it is very loud and hard to hear if you are on the top bus deck.

Heidi_R, Aug 2016
The hop-on hop-off bus in Dublin was excellent. Even though traffic was congested, it seemed to keep moving pretty quickly and we never had to wait long to get back on. We were always able to find a spot on the top of the bus and it went to all the places we wanted to see.

Robert_R, Jun 2016
Lots of construction going on in the city of Dublin, so hop-on hop-off bus took forever. We finally had to get off before circuit was completed in order to make our assigned time to visit the Book of Kells at Trinity College. Only used the bus again twice -- to get from Trinity College to Guinness Storehouse and then back again to main part of city, where we took a taxi back to our cruise ship.
