Our driver Shea was excellent. Great commentary along the way. And excellent knowledge.
And full credit to his exceptional driving in very adverse weather conditions (Storm Amy!)
As for the Titanic museum, again, absolutely amazing. We also did the black cab tour. Fred was our driver - really great knowledge.

Our tour was outstanding at the Titanic. Wish we had more time.
Many facts on building the ship and what caused it to hit the iceberg. Another fact it shows the actual site not only where it was built and launched. We took the black taxi tour in Belfast learned a lot about the Bombing and the IRA. Highly recommend this addition on this tour you will not regret it.
The Titanic exhibit and Black Cab tour of Belfast are both fantastic and highly recommended. The bus trip us was just OK. Our bus had issues, showed up late and didn’t seem able to go over 50mph so it took a looooong time to get from Dublin up to Belfast. We did stop at an old cemetery and see Celtic ‘High’ Crosses on the way so that made up for the extra time (somewhat). Overall it was an 11.5 hour trip so don’t believe any write up saying it is 6 hours. The Black Cab tour is cash-only so be sure to bring 25 GBP or 30 Euro per person if you want this extension.
I highly recommend The Troubles tour– the driver was excellent in presenting both sides of the loyalist/Republic and protestant/Catholic conflict. Depressing that there still is such a divide. I highly appreciated his honesty and historical information.
The Titanic experience was truly amazing. There was no fluff involved. It was several floors detailing the shipyard, the building of the Titanic, passengers, survivors, the analysis of what went wrong, etc. It was so well done. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The drive was easy and enjoyable, especially the stop we did. However, I felt the driver tried too hard to entertain us in the van rather than share history and culture for us to know and allow quiet time, too.
It was nice to see Belfast on a festival day and the titanic museum. It was 90 minutes longer due to traffic and stops to drop off and pick up other tour guests. A 10 hour tour took 11.5 hours. That was frustrating. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
The Booking was very easy - highly recommend the black taxi tour, a must do. The tour guide made the day. Very educational. Dealt sensitively with different subjects and made it a fun and memorable day
Cancelled trip and didn’t give any of us notice until we arrived at the meeting point. Now to Kate to book another tour.
Very informative which is what I was looking for the bus driver and black cab driver were both very interesting Everything was kept on schedule with enough stops for bathroom breaks
We had a great time on this tour. The Titanic Experience is very informative and covers the building of the ship as well as the tragedy and how the wreck was found. Seeing some of the recovered artifacts gives you a moment of reflection as well. We were a very small group so we couldn’t do the black cab tour in Belfast. Our driver/guide Aiden was excellent and gave us a very good explanation of what we would have seen and reviewed the history of the Troubles. On our way back to Dublin the All Irish Hurling Championship game was being played and he had it on the radio. I’d never heard of Hurling before and only being able to hear it I had no clue what to visualize, but it seems an exciting, fast paced sport.
A little more time at the city center and less at the Titanic experience. Driver was great. Black cab tour a must
The Titanic experience was an exceptional tour. Really enjoyed learning more about how the ship was built and the history of ship building in Northern Ireland. Walking around Belfast was a good experience. We had lunch at the Crown Bar in one of their “snugs.” The food and service were excellent. Our guide, Leo, was excellent and provided lots of good historical information..
Fantastic experience. Recommend taking the black cab tour option. Plenty of time at titanic museum. Be sure to confirm pick up times with guide at each drop off.
The titanic museum was awesome guides were great. Had lunch in Belfast nice little town. Views were great
The two activities….black cab tour and Titanic museum are excellent.
But the journey there and back was lacking.
Difficult to hear the driver. Music played throughout was loud, and jarring. Some was Irish, but much was Beatles, rock , loud contemporary….we would prefer quiet,or no sound.
When we booked, we were told cab tour was available, but en route the driver said it would just be available with 4 person minimum….info given did not indicate this…..and one of our main reasons for booking was to do the political tour.
.
Was good and the driver was so good . He is great at story telling and a pleasure to listen to hope all drivers same
Our confirmed and fully paid for tour was scheduled to leave at 8am. Received a call at 7:31am that the tour was cancelled because the bus wasn’t running. The gentleman said he didn’t know why and that was it. We suspect that they didn’t have enough passengers to make it cost effective for them. My advice is to book the Titanic Experience and Black Cab tour yourself and take the train
Our driver, Shay, was the perfect guide and we had a great experience! The Titanic experience tour is good but if you are truly interested you can easily spend 3 hours in the museum and the surroundings.
This tour was advertised as a 10 hour tour & it turned out it was closer to 12 1/2 hours. We picked this tour because we wanted to be back in Dublin in time for dinner. We didn’t get back to our hotel until 8:30. The tour company combined 1, 2, 3, & 6 day tour people on the bus going up to Belfast. To return we had to connect with another tour from the company which seemed to be running late & that extended our time in Belfast. I thought the Titanic Experience was extremely well done & interesting.
The drivers were competent and knowledgeable. I have a problem with Paddywagon tours. They advertised that you could pick Game of Thrones tour which it did not. Our tour was delayed almost 2 hours due to lack of drivers. The tour company was ill prepared and never reached out to apologize for that experience.
The excursion started off ok, but when we arrived in Belfast and after the Black Taxi event, the transportation situation went terribly wrong. Our bus was taken away from us to accommodate another excursion once at the Titanic exhibition. After visiting the Titanic exhibition, our driver told us that a bus was coming from another place and it would be there shortly. Then he informed us that it was arriving late. After it rained on us, our driver then informed us that the new driver would need to stop for 45 minutes due to rest requirements for the new driver. We never really received an apology until we expressed our disappointment with the mechanical problems and the lack of problem solving by Paddywagon just prior to being dropped off. Paddywagon never offered us an official apology. We felt that Paddywagon could have made this right, but chose not to do so.
Black cab was very interesting . Guides very impartial. Titanic was a great experience. Bus driver very helpful.
The tour was a little long, but loved Ciran he was great!! Very funny and knowledgeable!!
Along the road to Belfast. Titanic was good too, just like the movie accept without the love story!!
Take the black taxi tour when you get to Belfast, you will trey see the history of Northern Ireland. We had a great guide on both Paddy Wagon and Black Taxi.
Now this is a road trip! Driving up to Belfast was an absolute joy that felt like it flew by on the road. Our tour guide and driver, Shane kept us very well entertained the whole time. We took a stop off to see some old monastery ruins that were magnificent in the sunrise. When we first got there, there was also a beautiful rainbow. The timing couldn’t have been better. A bathroom break later and we arrived in Belfast. Perfectly executed.
When we got into Belfast, Shane told us that due to local rules. he couldn’t do a tour himself so they offer to connect you with the black cab tours. Which is pretty famous in the area. I opted to do it, and while it was super interesting, I don’t know if it was worth the €30 necessarily? Depends on how interested in history you are I guess? We stopped and looked at it quite a few murals that were very well executed. We also saw the giant wall that still stands in Belfast separating the two main religions. I think that was the most interesting part of the tour. Other than that, it’s a great way to see little parts of the town that you wouldn’t normally see. So take that as you will.
After we got dropped off by the black cab tour, we had about an hour to ourselves to walk around. I opted to go geocaching, which was a perfect way to spend my hour. There were quite a few caches in a nice big circle around the central area of the city where we were dropped off and picked up. I got to see a lot of great sites on foot as well as enjoy the search.
When we got back on the bus, we headed out to the Titanic museum. Shane was back at it giving us awesome fun facts about what we were about to see and got us all settled in. The museum itself is incredible. Lots of history stuffed into that building! I remember specifically two parts that choked me up a little bit.
Because I had mentioned I was a Game of Thrones fan, Shane also made sure to point out the stain glass windows that you could go to for photos. I’m so glad that he did that because after the Titanic tour, I basically ran to the stained glass to get my photos!
The drive back was simple. We dropped off a few folks in town and then headed to the highway. Another little bathroom stopped later and we were back in town just in time for dinner!
Overall, a great day trip to her! Definitely worth the cost and time. Patty wagon tours is famous for a reason!
The day was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable - I learned a lot about Irish history.
Belfast had a Christmas market so I spent my 2 hours there and wandering the city. I loved the Titanic Museum. One of the best museums I’ve ever been to.
Super tour with Gerry as the guide ! When booking this tour ask if Gerry is the guide, you will not be disappointed !
Great experience and great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about area and worked very hard to please participants
Tour bus driver knew the history of Ireland. He was humorous. He related his own experiences with some of the history. Highly recommended.
Tour of facility was great. I have to bring our grandson to it. He loves the history of the titanic
Would definitely recommend taking this PaddyWagon tour to Belfast. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and the city is Beautiful. This tour is better than the Finn McCool tour! Not as rushed.
Our tour guide and driver Dominic is nice and funny.. I will definitely recommend this tour to my family and friends.
