Itinerary
Depart from a central Dublin location in a luxury, air-conditioned coach destined for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Giant’s Causeway. Revitalize with an aromatic coffee during a brief interlude and then travel onward through the picturesque Irish countryside.
Enjoy an abundance of birdlife and spectacular coastal views from a different vantage point.
After lunch (own expense), hop back in your vehicle for the drive to the Giant's Causeway, a fascinating rock formation created by an ancient volcanic eruption. Capture photographs of the rugged natural landmarks and absorb vistas of the naturally splendid area while your guide shares mythical stories inspired by the hexagonal rocks.
Next, make a stop in Belfast for free time to walk around and shop. Before the relaxing ride back to central Dublin you have the option to tour by taxi (own expense) with a local guide to explain the city's troubled political past during decades of conflict.

- This tour includes Northern Ireland, which is politically part of the United Kingdom where sterling pounds may be required for some purchases
- The UK government, starting in April 2025, has required all tourists visiting the country to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisations). All the necessary information can be found in the following link

Excellent experience and loved that our tour was a bit smaller. Our guide put in our order at a local tavern at the coast, which was absolutely gorgeous. Our guide, Frank, stopped at several random spots for extra photos along the coast, which felt like a little treat! The only bummer was that we only had an hour in Belfast and it truly wasn’t enough. If you have this amount of time your the City Hall it’s lovely and shows a brief history of Belfast.
Our guide was bored and exhausted,v she spent more time complaining about her schedule than "guiding" us. She gave us no support finding a restaurant in Belfast, so we took a wrong turn and ended up in a bad neighborhood. We got desperate and ate at the first place we could find, the food made us all feel sick after. We spent way too much time on the bus and I swear the guide shaved time off how long we were supposed to be at each site based on the itinerary. Truly awful experience.

Our tour guide/driver was Jordan , very nice young man . He guided us to the bus in an orderly fashion. The tour destinations were worthy considering the long journey from Dublin . Jordan gave us ample time to do and see everything at each stop . He was very knowledgeable in the subject matter. Thank you Jordan !

This full day experience packed in a lot of different things to see and hear. The driver provides information about Ireland while making your way north to the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. It’s like a guided drive. At the stops, you have ample time to explore on your own. Heading back to Dublin included stops in a small seaside town for lunch at an inn before driving to Belfast for time to explore the city. A great trip to see and learn about the northwestern part of Ireland.

It was a great day trip. Good amount of time at each location. Plan what you want to do in Belfast ahead of time. Driver gave a guided explanation as we drove through important parts of each location. Excellent experience overall.

Long tour but absolutely worth every minute.

Great driver, small group bus. Perfect way to wrap up our vacation. I would recommend this to any one looking for a fun day trip
We got to see the beautiful sights of the Dark Hedges and the Giant’s Causeway. However, our driver made the day very complicated and knocked two stars off of our experience. We booked to go to Belfast as well, which ended up being closed due to unforeseen circumstances, but we were supposed to have 40 minutes at the Hedges and 2 hours at the Causeway. The driver decided we would only have 30 minutes at the Hedges and 1 hour and 30 minutes at the Causeway, after almost leaving a girl at the gas station when she came back 1 minute late. We also went to lunch, which wasn’t part of the itinerary we booked, and we only had 45 min for lunch at a predesignated restaurant. Very loud music on the bus, especially early in the morning. An interesting day for sure.

The Giant Causeway was my favorite part of the day. The traditional Ireland lunch was delicious! Lots of bus time, wish there was maybe another quick stop to break it up a little more.
Unsafe and Unacceptable – Avoid This Tour
My husband and I booked a tour from Dublin to the Giant’s Causeway, Dark Hedges, and Belfast, and it was a terrible experience.
At the Giant’s Causeway, the departure was already delayed by over 20 minutes. Later, at the next stop, we returned to the bus at the scheduled time (1:00 PM), but at 1:02 PM the driver left without us. My husband even ran after the bus trying to get the driver’s attention.
We were left stranded in a remote area in Northern Ireland with no transport, no taxis, and no assistance—while our wallet and personal belongings were still on the bus.
When we called Viator, we were told we were “on our own” and should find our way to Belfast.
I am pregnant, and both the driver and the company knew this. Despite that, we were abandoned with no support.
After multiple calls, the driver finally came back—but instead of apologizing, he yelled at me and blamed us.
This was not just bad service—it was unsafe, irresponsible, and deeply distressing.

Excellent tour, well organized, have you recommend. It offers a chance to see something very different from the city.
We felt rushed at Giant's Causeway the tour said 2 hours but we only got one and a half hours. I would have rather have had one and a half hours at Belfast if we needed to stay on schedule. The star of the show should have been Giants Causeway. We wanted to do the longer hike or spend some time at the visitor center. I also heard these same comments from other group members. That being said it was still a very enjoyable trip and I do understand needing to keep a schedule. The driver was very gracious even after we had some inconsiderate people miss the bus. They were late back to the bus again in Belfast. The driver also talked about the history and the ongoing issues that Belfast has. It was very interesting hearing it from someone who is from the area.
Frank our driver was amazing, my family specially my kids loved the trip! Thank you for this awesome experience.
Our tour guide, Brian did nothing to engage the group. He dropped us off and told us when to return to the bus. The Dark Hedges is a line of trees, and to my mind, a waste of time that could have been better spent in Belfast. The Giant's Causeway was interesting and scenic, but we did not need as much time there and most of us ended up in the pub. We were dropped in the center of Belfast with no suggestions given. I would have loved recommendations for things to do, maybe a pub to visit or a place to eat. Very disappointing day.
Fantastic experience! Well coordinated and Jonathan was a knowledgeable and engaging guide. This tour felt less stuffy than others, great sites, easy to participate in. Highly recommend for a day.
Beautiful but not much time at the Giant Causeway.
Later in Belfast our bus driver dropped us off in a bus parking lot and said “ just drop a pin on your Google map to find your way back to the bus”.
We had to walk through road construction to make our way to the business district.
The bus driver was the guide. We were let out of the bus and told to meet the bus in an hour and a half or so. There was no guidances. I tried four different seats on the bus and the seat belts did not work. In essence we just left the bus and told to go see things.
The driver was incredibly friendly and efficient. He timed everything perfect and even got time in to see a castle on a beautiful sunny day.
The guide, Colin, was very good. The Wi-Fi on the bus did not always work properly, and there was no USB connection to charge mobile phones.
The bus driver, Tom, was the best! He made the tour unforgettable and fun! Would do another tour with Tom. He had great knowledge of the different places we went.
It should just be for Causeway and the Dark Henges. Belfast was not that great. But the other two made it great. It really is just a shuttle to the places. The driver of the bus was great and caring. Good experience but Belfast was not all that great unless you take a black cab tour which is an add on to the trip. Which I did.
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and funny, sharing great details along the trip. We had enough time to see everything planned for the trip and even had time for a couple detours to see some additional sites. If you don't have time for a longer visit to Belfast and the Giant's Causeway, I definitely recommend this tour.
The small group is good. They changed the itinerary order without telling us beforehand due to the golf event which messed up me meeting up with family and friends at the Causeway at the time which we would have been there. Very disappointing! Michael, our driver and guide was very nice.
Fantastic excursion. Bring good hiking boots. David was a lovely guide. Wish we had more time at the Causeway.
