We were not sure about doing this tour as it can be a long day. However, this tour was awesome! Great driver, excellent views (we luck out with great weather), and the trip was well organized. Also, loved the lunch stop, great food options! We stayed on time and even made it back early around 7pm.

Itinerary

Make an early start and depart from central Dublin for your full-day tour of Ireland’s western wonders. Soak up the scenery on the drive to the west coast, then wind along the dramatic coast of the Wild Atlantic Way.

Jump out to snap photos of the striking Dunguaire Castle, a 16th-century tower perched on the seafront just north of Kinvara, then continue to Doolin. Enjoy free time to explore the quaint fishing village and tuck into some lunch (own expense)—perhaps try the famous seafood chowder at Gus O'Conner's or a pint of Guinness at Fitzgerald’s pub.

With your appetite sated, continue to The Burren and explore the otherworldly karst landscape, renowned for its exotic plants and colorful orchids. Finally, head for the day’s star attraction, the Cliffs of Moher, and enjoy ample time to walk along the 702-foot (214-meter) tall cliffs and gaze out over the rugged Atlantic coast. Admire jaw-dropping views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, then learn more about the geological wonder at the Atlantic Edge Exhibition and Visitor Centre.

After a full day on the west coast, journey back to Dublin and end your tour in the city center.

It was very easy to make reservations on line. Great communicat- ion from Viator. Cliff of Moher is a beautiful landmark, do not miss. Best of all PaddyWagon tour guide, Michael was exceptional! He was knowledgeable, funny and kept us strategically engaged. Highly recommend requesting tour guide Michaell. It was a long and exhausting day but worth the effort.

It was a fun trip and Gerry with a "G" was great. For us, there was enough time at each stop, but we were on a schedule to get us back on time.

Gerry tour guide was very knowledgeable I can tell he loves his country

Wonderful and efficient way to tour west coast of Ireland and rhe countryside. Tour guide was humorous and knowledgeable. Bus was very comfortable. Highly recommend rather than driving oneself on the narrow Irish roads.

Fun Day Exploring the Beauty of Ireland

Christy_C, Apr 2026
After a bit of a difficult start as the driver was delayed due to traffic and we had to make up time, we had a fun day exploring Ireland. The driver Brian was so knowledgeable about each of our stops and telling us about Ireland. He was even witty with a dry sense of humor.

Excellent Tour

The tour was great. Leo was very knowledgeable. It says that pick up and drop off are at the same place. They are not. Make sure to ask your driver where you are being dropped off. We had someone meeting us where the email said and it was wrong.

Enjoyed Cliffs of Moher

Patricia_K, Mar 2026
Great tour. Enjoyed the cliffs of Moher. I would have enjoyed walking around a town for a bit rather than stop at the first castle ruin. Driver Liam, was very skilled and hilarious.

Excellent Driver, Poor Organization and Wea

Joaquin_B, Feb 2026
The driver was the highlight of the trip, very kind, professional and entertaining. He made the journey enjoyable and handled the group very well. However, we were unable to see the cliffs due to very dense fog. I understand that weather conditions cannot be controlled, but such situations are often predictable. We should have been informed in advance or offered an alternative, as traveling all that way without visibility was disappointing. It is also important to note that this is a 12-hour tour. That is a significant investment of time, and not being able to see the main attraction was very negative. Additionally, the advertised itinerary was not fully respected. We stopped for lunch in a very small village and were taken directly to a specific restaurant, without being offered other options. It felt like a commercial arrangement where tourists are taken to one place only, with no choice regarding prices or alternatives. In summary, the driver was excellent, but the overall organization and handling of the weather situation and itinerary were not satisfactory.

Must-Do

Frank_M, Jan 2026
The cliffs were amazing, bus ride was fine because it was broken up with enough stops. Driver was personable.

Cliffs of Moher

Samantha_L, Jan 2026
This tour was amazing! Our driver/tour guide was the legit the best. He had such a vibrant and funny personality and he was very personable with everyone. It was raining during the trip, but the Cliffs were still breathtaking and beautiful. We got to stop in a couple different cute little villages too and those were awesome!

Best way to see Ireland

Laura_B, Jan 2026
Our tour guide Liam was fantastic on December 27th!!! Friendly banter & historical info all the way. I'm Irish - travelled with partner on his first time visit to Ireland - even I learned a few things! Great tours everytime with this company.

Michael_L, Dec 2025
The Cliffs of Moher were nice, but the rest of the tour wasn’t. The tour driver was late, we didn’t make multiple stops that were on the itinerary, and we spent far too much time on pit stops than actually seeing things. Felt like we paid €70+ for a bus driver

Wonderful day.

Lynn_A, Dec 2025
Michael was our driver/guide and he made the trip fun. He provided so much history and humor. I know adjustments have to be made from time to time but was a little disappointed we did not see everything as originally outlined in the description. But all in all it was a fun time.

While this is a very long day, we felt it was absolutely worth it. Our Driver Liam did a great job of reading the energy level of the group at different times of the day, allowing for quiet rest during stretches of road and talking/amping up the group a bit as we were approaching stops and it was time to start moving. We were given a perfect amount of time at the cliffs, allowing for enough time to explore everything there was to see, but not too much time that we were getting bored. The day is broken up with a number of stops at a small fishing village, castle, and rest area. Well worth the day if visiting Dublin.

Nick_B, Nov 2025
Overall, we enjoyed the experience. If we were to do it again, we would probably look for a trip that skipped everything after the Cliffs (lunch stop and Bunratty castle). In our opinion, they weren’t worth the time and we would’ve preferred a shorter experience. By the time we got to Bunratty castle, it was closed so we could only take pictures outside for a couple minutes. Liam was a great and entertaining guide, though!

Gerry Was an Amazing Guide

Greg_F, Nov 2025
The information given by the driver Gerry was excellent. He talked about all the known sites and also the unknown. Super sense of humor! He even encouraged passenger participation with questions and EVEN taught some of the Old Irish language. The tour stops were set up just right and the along the ocean was special. The ride was very comfortable and smooth. Superb Tour! Thanks!!

Drive made the experience!

Rana_M, Nov 2025
Our driver was a lovely gentleman! Eduardo IIRC. TONS of info about Ireland's history and significance of all the stops we made. It's very apparent he has a deep passion for his job, and it made our experience so wonderful! He clearly explained the timeline, what to expect, and that made it so easy to navigate the experience.

Cliffs tour :)

Laura_G, Nov 2025
Dominick was wonderful! He kept us on a timely schedule, kept the bus clean and orderly, and we had fun listening to his stories of Ireland both fact and myth. Dominick obviously cares a lot about his job and welcoming those who travel to this country. The cliffs were beautiful, a must see when traveling to Ireland. People were kind and friendly. The coastal scenery was like walking into a painting. Local pubs and restaurants were cozy and delicious. Glad to have WiFi (sometimes spotty—literally the only complaint) and chargers on the bus!

Whole route was changed

Nimesh_D, Nov 2025
It is over rated tour. Whole route was changed and places mentioned in the itinerary was not visited except main place. Giant causeway tour from Belfast is much much better than this in cost wise and experience wise. Overall we felt unhappy with the tour experience.

Very long day but absolutely worth it! Cliffs are beautiful! Lots of stops along the way to break up the drive! Driving through the countryside was wonderful too!

Lovely Day Trip

Dawn_T, Oct 2025
The cliffs were majestic and equally enjoyed driving the Atlantic Way and the scenery. Guide Michael shared great information, was funny and friendly! Quite a bit of time in the bus but that is to be expected due to the distance to the Cliffs. You do have stops to stretch your legs.
