AMBER COVE: Pass the duty-free shops and the taxi stand. Continue straight until you pass the solar panels and reach the exit. Once out of the port, turn right and look for the guide with the sign "Fabio". HOTELS: Pick-up included from Montellano to Cofresí. Wait for the guide in the lobby. We do not offer pickup in Sosúa or Cabarete. HOURS: They are coordinated between 7:00 and 10:30, and between 12:00 and 2:00 PM. Beautiful ride through the countryside! Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and we felt safe with them. The reviews are true about the trash on the beach but it was the shortest part of the ride. We galloped on the way back. If you’re a woman, wear a good sports bra;) We were taken to a stop in a village where we sampled hot chocolate, coffee, and mamajuana and had a short talk on the history of all 3. Bring cash as there is pressure to buy from the little gift store and make sure you know how much things should cost ahead of time. You can also use a credit card. Our guide took videos and pics of us and sent them to us later. They also carried our backpacks for us during the ride. Horses were easy to control. Miguel was very communicative and answered my texts right away. The ride to and from Taino Port was about 15 minutes. Amber cove port is even closer. It took us 10-15 minutes from the ship to outside of the Taino port recreational area where we were picked up to go to Maimon for the ride. We loved the ride and would recommend it!

The guides were very good and helpful by taking pictures and just all around friendly. Was a nice peaceful ride. Would definitely do it again.

It was very fun. The guides were knowledgeable. We rode horses in different areas. Our group was small which was good. We got to ride the horses for almost 2 hours with a small stop in between to learn about the chocolate making process.

Short ride from cruise terminal. The owner will communicate early via WhatsApp. Remember that there is a time difference when you are on ship time out of the US. Fine ride through the forest/jungle and then on the beach. Wear pants or leggings and it can be muddy in the jungle area so don’t wear your best sneakers/shoes. We had lots of fun. The guys leading to horses were very nice. We had beginners to quite experienced riders and all had a blast!

The owner of the company picked me up personally though was only person who had scheduled the trip that morning. He was genuinely friendly and dropped me off with the guide Hans who had two healthy and gentle horses and took me riding along the dirt road to the beach where there were great views to be had and was able to canter along the beach in San Felipe Puerto Plaza. We stopped by a beach side restaurant and bar where there were vendors wearing uniforms but were not pushy or disrespectful. It was a wonderful morning
