The tour itself was good. However, the times at the two locations was very short. The pick-up was a disaster. They showed up one hour late and the pick-up was very disorganized. On the pick-up, the driver did not know where the pier was and drove around for a few minutes. On the pick-up back to the hotel, it took about a 3 hour drive. They did not know what transportation service we were to go in. We got put in a bus that was very overcrowded and loud. A better job needs to be one with acquiring a tour company like this one.

Me and my family enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly. Our driver “Max” and the staff who stayed along with us during the whole duration “ Danny” made us feel welcomed and very safe. Would definitely recommend, great experience and customer!

The driver never contacted me about when to be picked up, ignored over 20 phone calls. I was outside of the resort an hour before departure and stayed until after the excursion was supposed to start but my driver simply never showed up. We planned one of our spring break days around this excursion and it was very frustrating to essentially waste a because of a no show.

Max, Didi and Lou were wonderful to us the whole trip. The beginning will seem a little long to wait to get on the catamaran to go to Saona Island but once you're on the Catamaran and the music starts playing it's a blast! Unfortunately we had a situation on the island with someone unrelated to their business (big emphasis on the fact that they were not an individual related to their business) and the crew in charge of our group took our concerns seriously and apologized even though it really was not their fault. I know the point of the excursion is to visit Saona but I feel like we had a really good amount of time to spend on the beach and relax. The food at the buffet was very good too. There are photographers and they will offer the package to you at the end of the beach visit if you like!

I cannot say enough good things about Max. Not only did we have an excellent tour with him, he also drove from Punta Cana and Samana and back in a day all so my girlfriend and I could be comfortable. He charged us a very reasonable price and is a fantastic guy.

Max and the whole crew were so kind and made everything very fun. We weren’t able to stop at the lagoon before the island, but they made sure we had the chance to stop there afterwards. The island was breathtakingly beautiful and I am so happy we booked this excursion. Communication during transport was limited with the language barrier, but we received everything that was advertised and were pleased with the outcome. Saona Island is a must see, I highly recommend it.

Let me start by saying that this experience had a positive ending — the beginning of the tour, not so much. Here are the highlights:
- Driver picks us up at 7:45 AM at the hotel. Then picked up two other groups at different hotels, absolutely normal.
- We were then taking to a small parking lot off side of a main street. No explanation, no expectations on next steps.
- We waited 30 minutes to jump into another van.
- The driver didn’t introduce himself, nor did he tell us where we’re going or how long the drive was. We drove for about an hour to the bay.
- At the Bay, we were handed off to another gentleman who didn’t introduce himself and just took us to side of a park. No one told us what we were doing, how long will be there, or what to expect next.
- He then walked us across the street to where the boats docked.
- Must have been about 200 people there
- We waited 90 minutes for our boat. Everyone had already left on their tours.
- Not once were we told why we were waiting so long. No explanation.
- I had to ask the guy what was happening — first the boat was fueling then the boat broke down.
- I emailed the tour company. Boat came shortly after.
- The first stop at the natural pool was gorgeous. The tour guides didn’t really say much. We just spent time on our leisure.
- All inclusive = only rum and coke. No beer. They only had two small bottles of water.
- Second stop was Saona. Also beautiful. Tons of people, though. They provided lunch — buffet style.
- We spent about 2 hours there. Then brought back to the bay on a catamaran. Party! Was also packed with people, but fun.
- The tour agency owner found out about our experience and met us at the bay. He personally drove us back to Punta Cana (1 hour) and was very apologetic.
I only wish Max, the owner, would have been present the entire time to avoid all the frustration.
Three stars only because of the beautiful natural swimming pool and the beach.
Besides Max, everyone else else was apathetic about the situation

This trip was amazing! It was great for my family! Max was so wonderful making sure my kids were taken care of and we were all together. We felt very safe with him.
Ride was great, food on the island was great! All around a great trip to see the beautiful Soana Island! A must do!

Very, very average! The driver arrived 1h15 late. We waited in the lobby and could not have breakfast as the hotel restaurant was still closed. If we had known, we could have taken our time, but the driver did not speak a single word of English, so we could not communicate with him and his few answers were evasive about his arrival.
Then we arrived on site at 11:00 for a scheduled departure at 07:45. That's a long drive for an hour.
Sanoa is beautiful, but don't expect to see starfish as expected and sold in this tour. The children were inevitably disappointed.
The catamaran was cool as well as for the speed boat.
The organization as a whole is very average. Bcp Waiting times that have eaten up our time on site.
Take this experience with another provider I relied on other reviews I should not have.

Nous avons réservé via Viator pour la croisière sur l’île de Saona.
Prise en charge pour notre groupe de 11 à notre hôtel, direction Bayahibe en passant hélas par une boutique souvenir avec des prix exorbitants.
Arrivés sur place un peu d’attente, puis traversée en catamaran avec rhum, musique : une belle ambiance.
Premier stop en piscine naturelle : à l’écart des grands groupes, un vrai plus. Puis direction l’île : repas convenable.
Endroit paradisiaque.
Et retour en speedboat.
Une belle expérience :
Points positifs : le staff (agréable, souriant), la beauté de l’île.
Points négatifs : le stop vraiment inutile et qui de ce fait te fait partir tôt de ton logement à la boutique de souvenirs. Il y a une prestation photo : les photos sont belles mais 5US$ la photo ou alors 2US$ par photo pour 66 photos c’est trop cher pour du numérique.

Lo positivo: nos transportaron en una van de 9 personas por lo que no nos demoramos en la recogida ni en el regreso. Tomamos catamaran d ruda que fue lo mejor de la excursión.
Lo negativo: En los hoteles venden la misma excursión por 55 dólares, así que no recomiendo comprarla por este medio, los que iban en mi van pagaron 55 y no 78 dólares, pésimo.
Nos tuvieron esperando 1 hora a que saliera una lancha bajo todo el sol.
Te sacan fotos en la piscina natural y luego te cobran 150 dólares, puedes regatear pero aún así es carísimo.
El almuerzo era pésimo, lleno de moscas, no te dan agua si no es con propina.
Estuvimos como mucho una hora en la isla que estaba llenísima de gente y no se podía ni caminar, estaba súper sucia además.
El guía no da la indicaciones claras de las horas de reunirnos, hay que andar buscándolo.
Te piden propina para todo.
No recomiendo el tour.

Saludos, lo siento de leer su opinión por el mal momento pero a mí entender las fotografías no tienes obligación de comprar al fotógrafo por qué es un servicio fuera de nosotros y también sobre el almuerzo es lamentable de escucharlo por que no es asi y la playa también no es una playa solo para nosotros pero tomaremos la decisión para practicar con los encargados. Nuestra intención es la persona que está con Sofunrdtours puede disfrutar lo máximo.
