Great tour, I originally had it booked with a different tour group but this seemed like a better value. It included lunch which was delicious plus a coffee and mamahuana tasting. They also made a stop on the way back to get fresh fruit and coconut water. The entire tour was great and I would 100% recommend it.

The tour guide was amazing and the photographer took amazing pictures and kind yogurt are experience with one of the best excursions I’ve ever done I would recommend this to anyone I’m 65 years old and I still was able to do all the waterfalls and the hiking I will remember this excursion

Great experience!! It is a lot of hiking up and down the mountain, but if you're okay with that, there are only really four waterfalls but it is beautiful. I highly recommend wearing sneakers as the water shoes they give you. You might as well be walking barefoot and it was a little painful but it was worth it!!! I highly recommend this excursion to anyone who can physically hike 2 to 3 Miles. The launch was really good also and guides were phenomenal!!!

Fun and adventure

Fun and an adventure trip. Because I don’t know how to swim, they provided a gentleman going to the bottom of the fall first and grab me after I went down. Then pulled me to the safe place. The host Anthony/Tony and the driver were very friendly and lead us all the way. Didn’t push us buying photos. Just be patient that you need to wait for long time/lines to go to the really falls because we had two cruise ships docked that day.

What a unique way to experience the waterfalls. We had no idea that it would be so engaging and inviting! Charlie did a great job keeping our family together amongst all the other groups! It might be helpful to have them wear different colored vests or helmets to stand out amongst the crowd.

Everything went smoothly with pick up/ drop off from port. The number of waterfalls you go to is decided by the National Park guide (not the DSRR guide), depending on water levels and time/crowds. We only jumped/slid down 3-4 areas. We enjoyed the meal, chocolate/coffee visit after, and the conversation with the guides on the drive.

Slip sliding away!

Its a wonderful hike up to the falls and beautiful scenery as you slide, jump and walk through the falls. I would say its probably not for people who can't hike up a lot of steps and trails. Getting down into the water for the first fall is like climbing down a latter. You had to turn around and go down about 15 steps or so. I saw some older people struggle getting down. One lady in our group slipped and fell on her backside going down a set of steps. Definitely gor the younger crowd or those who are in good shape. Im over 50 and did not have hard time. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience

Fun at the Falls

The water levels were a bit low for us, so we weren’t able to get in as many jumps or slides as you would if the water levels were higher. It was very fun still. Water was nice, and the guides were fun. We travelled with DRSs and they did a very good job - even allowed us to stop on the way home and purchase some fresh fruit - which was great! They took us to a coffee making place and an art exhibit, obviously so we would purchase things but we didn’t and there wasn’t any pressure to do so. We enjoyed it!

We had a blast and communication was really good including instructions on where to meet, photos and a map. Our your guide Mara was funny and kind. The waterfalls were beautiful and the slides and jump were much more thrilling than expected. The only thing you can opt out of is the 20ft jump- everything else must be done in order to move down the falls. This is 5 stars with a caveat: bring cash. Someone from the company will follow you during the tour and take great pictures and videos, and at the end of the tour you can buy them… but cash only. We did not have enough cash on us. Telling customers ahead of time would be beneficial and/or offering an option to “add on a photo package” could be helpful. We all enjoyed our Lunch after the waterfalls- a nice selection of traditional DR foods. The coffee and chocolate part of the tour was fine and somewhat interesting but there is pressure there to purchase.

This was a great excursion! All of the staff at DSRR and the park guides were very friendly and helpful. Instructions for pick up were clear and accurate. The van they picked us up in was very nice. The hike to the falls is up hill but we had plenty of short breaks to sit and rest between so it was very manageable, a nice hike on a jungle trail. They did a great job looking out for everyone, lending a hand if needed and making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience. We purchased the pictures taken by Monkey, he did a fantastic job and it was worth it! After the hike we enjoyed a Dominican lunch which was very good. On the way back to the port we had a fun stop for coffee and cocoa tasting and a bit of shopping. We had an overall great experience in DR and I highly recommend this excursion with DSRR

One of our favorite excursions in the DR. Save yourselves some money to and don’t book thru your cruise line. Maria the guide from DSSR was fantastic as was Manuel our driver. Tony captured the the day with amazing pictures. 5 stars for the 3 of them as well as Andrew our guide on the hike and down the waterfalls.

We had an awesome time Elizabeth,Tony and Luis were great. Helped us all the way. We were a group of 13 including kids and non swimmers… everyone enjoyed the outing . The jumps were a little hard for non swimmers but they helped out will alternate routes.

Unfoetunately our ship did not dock but I wanted to say that the communication from this tour group was amazing and the refund came fast and easy. We will definitely fly here next year and book again. Sad to have missed it but excited to try again next year.

Great excursion. We came in on a cruise and they were prompt with pickup right outside cruise terminal. Nice air conditioned van and knowledgeable guides. Approx.30 minute drive to location to start hike to the falls. Hike is steep in certain points but they take rest stops. Have a photographer that shoots tons of pictures and videos. Definately worth purchasing. Great experience with the slides and jumps. They provide helmets and life jackets. Would definately recommend this excursion !!

Enjoyed the waterfalls though could only go down 5 instead of 7. ALOT of walking! Wear water shoes that are comfortable but tight. Prepare to get fully submerged. We had a large group with us. Enjoyed the yummy lunch. Booked thru Viator vs direct with cruise and saved $. Sketchy walk along the hwy to get to the transportation but the tour operator was helpful when messaged. Enjoyed the cocoa and coffee stop. Brought my waterproof case and took my own photos but the photographer did a great job and recommend buying pkg if didn’t bring own phone.

Overall it was a decent experience. The tour operator was very nice and helpful. As for the actual water falls, they were just OK. The river was dry and the upper falls had no water (2-3 of the falls). There were entirely too many people in the falls and we were packed in like sardines, lines galore. And there were only 4 cruise boats in that day (I guess they can take up to 8!) Our tour contained 9 people but then we were grouped with another 30 plus people and there were multiple groups. Thankfully I arranged a separate tour after to Monkey Home with the tour group. This was the coolest place - a bit like a zoo with McCaw's, turtles and Monkeys. They brought you into a their environment and they literally ran all over you. My family loved it

Wow. If you like excitement, this is your tour. Best deal for the price $52. Tour, lunch and shopping. They pick you up from the cruise ship at Taino Bay. In a mini bus for 12pp. With good AC and a fun driver. One guide is with you at all times and the pictures at awesome. I would never believe my wife who is turning 50. Would jump from 10 meter up, where you walk the plank like on a private ship. The water slides are fun and a chance to be a kid once again. Thanks to DSRR tours. We were only four but they did not skip out on anything. Also we asked to be dropped of at a different location, the driver Anthony did it with no problem. Our personal belongings were left on the bus. They were guarded by Mr Williams.

Demands fitness. But all worth it. Must do excursion in the island. The included food, wine and coffee tasting tour, air conditioned ride, guide, I would say “just do it”.

This is a PHYSICAL tour. It is amazing, but not for everyone....

Yes, you need to be in somewhat good shape to go on this tour. Please do not sign up if you cannot climb hundreds of stairs, walk an incline and/or get out of breath with a moderate workout. You will be climbing this mountain with a large amount of people and will be holding up the group if you can't physically keep up. This is not something you want to do if you haven't been to the gym or if you haven't been active in the past several months. If you are able to do this, it is AMAZING!

Be ready to get wet, slide and or jump into the springs. They are deep, knowing to swim is important. Is a fun experience. The coffee and chocolate tasting is also nice.

Great operator! After we walked out of the Taino Bay port, we quickly and easily connected with our driver, our tour guide (Mara) and our air conditioned bus in a group of 13. With a pickup of 9:30 am, we were one of the first groups down the falls and avoided the crowds we passed coming back down. Our guide (Junior) kept us safe and moved us through smoothly. Everyone (three teens, 2 adults) enjoyed our trip. Mara was bright and engaging, and helpful in explaining logistics. The buffet lunch at the park was excellent. We bought the photo package ($60) and got great photos for the kids. The stop at the cultural center for some shopping was good too. Bring cash for tipping the waterfall guide separately from the driver and bus guide. As far as photos go, they take cash, PayPal and Apple Cash, and they are loaded directly onto your phone.
