Fabio Reynoso was absolutely amazing. He took his time with us, was patient,
professional, and extremely knowledgeable.
He made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and helped create a wonderful, happy, and memorable experience. His excellent service and positive attitude truly stood out. I would highly recommend him to all the people I know back in the States, and I hope others have the opportunity to experience the same outstanding service he provided.

Haggled by stops on the tour to buy things at the shops. I mean non stop haggling . The people at the larimar store haggling you, to buy, the people at the statue haggling you to buy. Numerous amount of stops to drop off employees on the tour i paid for from the mount isabel safari truck.

This tour will take your to several of the items listed on the itinerary , but you will not be allowed to see many of the most beautiful photos of this tour because you will be corralled into one small souvenir store after the other, both in the city and on the mountain. In fact, you will be denied access to the gardens at the top of the mountain because you will be required to go in the unestablished souvenir shops located in the dome at the top of the mountain. You will not have an information tour where you get facts about this lovely item or any of the places you go. Your driver may or may not speak your language...ours did NOT! You may or not be in the same vehicle with your family...we were NOT!! You may or not be left alone in the city in excess of 20 minutes not knowing what your are to do or where your are to go...we WERE! And when you return from your rather dangerous outing, unsatisfied and frustrated, and you voice your opinion to Trip Advisor/VIATOR, they will listen to your concerns, but will not help you solve them for yourself or for future travelers.

Fabio was an awesome tour guide. We saw all the sights as he informed us about them and answered all our questions. He even supplied us with water and treats! We were really glad to be able to go to the top of Mt. Isabel de Torres by truck since the cable car isn't working. It was definitely worth the trip. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the city, some of the countryside and the amazing views at the top of Mt. Isabel. :)

Our Driver guide was right on time, communication was excellent. Diomi, our driver guide, was a perfect gentleman, helpful and full of good information about what we were seeing and experiencing. Answered so many questions with patience and showed a love of his homeland. Took many photos using his own phone and ours, and later the same day sent all the photos he took to us. We would definitely use him again. The tour was just as described, and we had a choice if there was something we didn't want to see that was part of the tour it could be eliminated. Since neither of us are not smokers we elected not to go to the cigar factory after he explained it would be smokey. The tour was just the right length for us. If we had elected to go to a restaurant before heading back to the cruise port Diomi would have waited for us but we chose to go back to the port. We would recommend this tour to those who are up for an amazing adventure. Our trip to the Christ statue was on a truck and the roads were bumpy so if that would be an issue for anyone they might want to choose a different mode of transportation to the statue. For us it was an adventure, and we are not young. Would not be a choice for someone who has mobility issues.

Highly recommend Antonyinfotours! They are the only company we found offering both Puerto Plata city and Mount Isabel in one package. We traveled in a clean, comfortable car with our amazing guide, Franklin. He was patient, humble and kind. He even directed our photos with great pose ideas and gave us a homemade welcome drink at his shop!
The only hiccup was a confusing morning pickup at the port where we were told to go left, but our guide was on the right (and vice versa for another group). They quickly sorted it out, though.
We will definitely tour with them again next time we visit the beautiful, colorful city of Puerto Plata!

Ours was unexpectedly a personal tour. Just the 2 of us and our guide. He was very good and took time to let us enjoy each stop. We walked a considerable amount. We were given over to a different guide for the Christ statue truck ride up the mountain. Be ready for walking up and down the hill below the Christ staue as part of visiting it. Tough for older folks.

We had an awesome time. Our tour guide - Diome - was always helpful - from beginning to end, and is highly recommended. I quite enjoyed the journey to Mt Isabel with the beautiful views. I thoroughly enjoyed Puerto Plata.

Let me say first that my guide, Fabio, was too wonderful for words. He was knowledgeable and engaging, and took great care of me as a solo female traveler. He provided healthy snacks and water during the trip. He told me which overpriced shops to avoid, and allowed me to tailor the itinerary to my interests. So FIVE stars for Fabio and the "city" portion of my tour!
Sadly, the "mountain" portion of my outing was only a TWO. First I was handed off to a different guide in a rugged safari truck. The ride was scenic, and I enjoyed seeing real people engaged in daily life, but it was very slow. Once at the top, we only had time for some quick pictures, and then my new guide pushed me to the gift shop and a fake village where I expected to tip the musicians playing there. There was NO time to wander the lovely pathways through the park, which was my whole reason for going.
If I had it to do again, I would still take the city tour with this company. (Ask for Fabio!) But I would hire a taxi to take me up the mountain and see the park on my own, with time for hiking.

Low key small group is perfect instead of the massive cruise ship tours. This gentleman made it feel like a private tour for the four of us or this vehicle would fit six.

Such an amazing tour to really see the city. Pickup and drop off at our cruise port was very simple and we never felt pressed for time. We weren't able to go on the cable car to Mount Isabel de Torres because of the weather, but the drive up the mountain was also stunning! Diomi was an excellent guide and let us really customize our trip and take our time at stops we were more interested in. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you only have a short time in Puerto Plata.

First of all, the guide was very disorganized & was an hour late picking us up at the cruise port. We were supposed to be picked up at the Amber Cove cruise Port entrance. On our confirmation ticket it says Amber Cove. When the guide 1st did not show, I called the local office & the office guy called the guide who claimed he was at the entrance which he was not. After he finally showed up an hour late he said he thought he was supposed to go to alternate cruise port Taino bay. But the ticket says Amber cove not Taino bay And the office guy told him over the phone at 9 am Amber Cove- We know he was actually just late and used wrong port as excuse. Finally once picked up, we drove down Broadway (the main road on Waterfront in town) then went to the Amber museum. TAfter the museum, about 1 hour into the tour, (really 2 hours because he was an hour late picking us up) the guide informed us that we had to turn around & go all the way back to Taino Bay cruise port to pick up more passengers for the tour. That took an additional 45 minutes wasted on our tour. (We thought this tour was private).
Now the guy wasted 2 hours of our day. We then to a coffee store where they tried to sell us coffee. (not what was described on tour description) Afterwards, We went to the town square- Just ok, then switched vehicles to a bus, and proceeded on to Mt Isabel de Torres. It takes about an 45 mins to get up mountain, you have 20 minutes to look around then an 45 mins back down. (View very pretty).
After Mt Isabel, our tour guide repeated the 1st part of the tour and went down Broadway AGAIN to show 2nd passengers from Taino Bay that street because they had not seen that yet. That was another portion of our tour day wasted.
The guide was friendly, but disorganized, late, and repetitive. Between being late, then driving back to cruise port to pick up others, & then repeating part of the tour a 2nd time, the guide wasted 1/2 of our day. Unless you want to risk wasting a major portion of your cruise day, I would not recommend this tour operator.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. My mother and I were the only ones on the tour, which made for a truly personalized experience. Our guide, Diome, was warm and welcoming. He was extremely knowledgeable about his country’s history and people. We were able to see most of the common tourist sites as well as get a small glimpse into the everyday lives of the Dominican people. Would highly recommend this tour.

It was top notch. A comfortable van with good air conditioning took us to see the most important sites in Puerto Plata. Our guide, Fabio, was amazing. He had cold water and snacks available. The trip up to the mountain is in a different vehicle. It is bumpy and it is a 30 minute ride up and 30 minutes back. It was nice to see part of the city that isn’t geared to tourists. Fabio kept us on track and gave us great advice on where and when to buy souvenirs for the best prices. I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our cruise. I can’t wait to get back to Dominican Republic so I can call Fabio and see if he’s available for another tour.

we visited mount isabel ,, central park , cathedral ( from outside ) , a chocolate store , amber store , pink street , umbrella street , stopped by at a beach ( long beach ) .
The tour guide Diomi was very nice . He was very patient and helped us take our time ( my mom was a bit slow in moving around ) .
we had a great experience. The view from mountain Isabel is breathtaking!
Also visited the fort . I didn’t go inside you need to pay $4. Mom was already tired and didn’t want to spent more time . The stores we visited , they were all overpriced. Nothing has a price sticker and they will tell you a price . Typical tourist place stores and merchants with no honesty . Better not to spend money buying stuff there . compete rip off .
would recommend this tour as it covers many things and the company and guide was amazing.

Fabio was fabulous! We had a much longer tour than anticipated with a few extra stops, and the man never blinked. We learned quite a bit about the rain forest, the gemstone industry, the coffee-harvesting process, and the cocoa cultivation practices that make Puerto Plata a great place!
