Extraordinairy day to Machu Picchu

It was an excellent journey from the beginning to the end. The tour operater sent us a detailled schedule with the timing the day before. We even spoke on the phone with him to make sure we had received the information. The next day on our way to the train station he provided all the tickets required for the train, acces to Machu Picchu and bus to site. We also had an excellent tour guide, Richard, for the visit of Machu Picchu. He gave us a lot of information on the history of the Inca and the site. We highly recommend this tour. Wonderful tour!

This tour was well organized & every step was very seamless. The night before, a tour coordinator delivered the tickets to our pickup location & shared a very detailed itinerary. The morning of, we were picked up by a small private van and driven to the train station (~1 hr 45min). The train was about an ~1 hr 30 min. At the train station we were picked up by our tour guide & then we took the last 30 min bus to Machu Picchu. Machu Pichhu was breathtaking! Recommend wearing layers as it was very chilly at the begging but also warm later on. We were at Machu Picchu for about 3 hours. Tour guide Julio was great and very knowledgeable. After we took the bus back to the area where the train station is & we had about 2 hours for lunch/ shopping. We took the same modes of transportation for the return. Something worth noting is that although we were supposed to be picked up at 4am, we were notified the night before we were actually getting picked up at 3am- so be ready for such a possibility!

The whole team was very professional and handled all the logistics perfectly, including accounting for a one hour delayed train. Comprehensive instructions were given prior so we knew exactly what to expect and the tickets were delivered in person. The tour of Machu Picchu was also great. Would recommend.

They messed up the day of...

They messed up the day of my booking so I had to reschedule my other tour. They provided that they were going to pick us up at the airport but wasn't there. They booked us Vistadome for our inconvenience but my husband and I were in separate train carts!!! Also, they said that they will provide circuit 2 but we ended up paying more for it!!! Really messy. I suggest you book somewhere else or do it yourself. The guide was very knowledgeable though which is why I rated it 3 stars.

Once in a lifetime experience - A must see on this tour

From Cusco hotel pickup to Incarail bus stop then from there to Ollantaytambo train station ( 2 hour bus ride), then train ride from Ollantaytambo station to MachuPicchu station (1.5 hours) and then bus ride from MachuPicchu train station to final entrance if MachuPicchu (20 minutes). The total time is around 4 hours. Now you start to climb MachuPicchu based on your circuit ticket and see one of the 7 wonders of the world. Circuit 1 has the best picture taking view. Circuit 3 has all the details about Inka lifestyle. So, if you forget the 8 hour round trip commute to MachuPicchu from Cusco then you will add a life time experience to your books. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. Our tour agent Christian was excellent and detail oriented and took care of every detail.
