The tour of Machu Picchu was super amazing! Our tour guide Mayta was one of the best! He was very knowledgeable, detailed, and patient. Our van driver (Niño) going to and from Cuzco on the other hand was so horrible. A few times during the long ride we thought we were going to get into an accident with how reckless his driving was.

Really enjoyed this tour. Pickup from the hotel was on time and getting to the train was easy because the driver explained everything clearly. We met Isao in Aguas Calientes and he was a great guide. He shared a lot of Incan history, took some great pictures for us, and never rushed us. I appreciated that he let us stop and take breaks when we got winded and just move at our own pace. He also suggested a good place for lunch afterward. Visiting Machu Picchu was an amazing experience and Isao made the day even better.

Our excursion was AMAZING. Once in a life time experience. Tour was very long but extremely worth it. From start to finish everything was organized and well planned out. Very well coordinated between pick up, bus, train, guide in Aqua Caliente and the tour guide. The train on the way back was late, the bus and the transfer service were promptly waiting for us.

Th entire experience from start to finish was smooth, effortless, comfortable and far more than what I expected. If you are hesitant about the price rest assured that the cost is worth it. Sergio was a great tour guide explaining all aspects of life in Machu Picchu do very long ago. His tablet helped explain and relate to modern day. A bit of confusion on the hotel pick up and we did NOT receive transportation back to our hotel at 18:00 (9:00pm) as was described in What's Included.

Machu Picchu was an amazing experience! Our tour guide was Isao and he was spectacular! Very knowledgeable and he spoke English very well. Make sure after you book your experience to send a copy of your passport right away so you get into the circuit you want and make sure you book well in advance of your travel. This is an excursion you don’t want to miss!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with our tour guide Isao at Machu Picchu! From the very beginning, he was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and magic of this breathtaking place.
His explanations about the Inca civilization, architecture, and spiritual significance of Machu Picchu were detailed and fascinating, yet easy to understand. He answered all of our questions patiently and made sure everyone in our group felt engaged and comfortable throughout the tour.
What truly made the experience special was his enthusiasm and attention to detail, he showed us the best photo spots (and trust me he did the best pictures and videos of you), pointed out hidden features we would have completely missed, and shared stories that brought the ancient city to life.

The trip coordinator provided the trip and ticket booking information ahead of time. While there was a small mishap happened on the day off (the greeter at the train station took us to the entrance gate 2 hours early), the overall experience is pretty positive. Our guide, Isao is very knowledgeable and fun to tour with. He provided interesting facts and history about Machu Picchu and also double duty as our personal photographer/videographer. It was a nearly perfect experience and I would highly recommended it.

The trip is awesome. Unfortunately, the information you receive from Viator is very different from what Peru Hikers actually did. This created a lot of confusion. For instance, Viator said the event starts at 5:30am. Peru Hikers picked us up at 4:40am. Another example is that Viator tells you the pickup location is Plaza Armas…..at 5:30am. Peru Hikers picked us up at the hotel at 4:40am. Just be sure you are communicating DIRECTLY with the provider, Peru Hikers, and not Viator. Other than that, the trip was fantastic.

Really well organised from start to finish. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel and given clear instructions along he way. Our guide, Isao, was excellent and really knowledgeable. He knew all the best places for photos and gave us plenty of time to take it all in. We had a 3pm slot which worked out really well as by the end of our tour we almost had the place to ourselves. An awesome tour from start to finish. Perfect communication from the tour company which was very supportive and accurate. Our guide gave us history, romance, photography and video assistance plus also joined us for beers before our return train journey. Peru Hikers executed the most incredible and memorable day for my family and me. Throughout the entirety of the day, the tour company kept in contact with us to make sure we were getting to where we needed to be whether that be for a transfer, bus ride, or train ride. The process that was laid out for us was seamless. There were some delays with the train company during our trip up to Machu Picchu, but my family and I were still able to complete our tour and get everything we wanted out of our visit. Our tour guide waited for us at the entrance of Machu Picchu and kept in communication with us during our train ride. Our tour guide Isao was absolutely wonderful. He was super knowledgeable about the history of Machu Picchu and answered all of our questions. The way he delivered the history was so captivating, like telling a story. Isao went above and beyond any expectations we had for our tour of Machu Picchu. He was so personable, funny, and just a joy to be around. Our trip to Machu Picchu will be unforgettable. After the tour, Isao made sure we got on the next train out back to Cusco. I cannot recommend this company enough. Absolutely go with Peru Hikers if you are looking into experiencing Machu Picchu. The logistics to and from Cusco to Machu Picchu was impeccable, communication great and our knowledgeable and "connected" tour guide Isao (Peru Hikers) made for this day extremely memorable and enjoyable. Our day was perfectly planned from start to finish. We were picked up at the hotel and dropped off at the train station. Our guide, Isao, met us in Aguas Calientes and took us to the bus for a 25-minute ride. We loved exploring Machu Picchu with him—he knew so much and took great photos! The tour wasn’t rushed, so we could really enjoy it. Afterward, he took us to a restaurant for dinner before our train back. Even though the train had some problems, our driver still picked us up and took us to the hotel. Highly recommend!

Well worth the trip. Well organized. The only thing I would suggest is to have the names written on a card for pick up. We were initially lost when we got off the train and could not find our guide.

The logistics of the tour were well organized along the way. Clear descriptions were sent the day before via WhatsApp. Train and bus tickets were sent before hand. We took the circuit C which was the one that covers most everything. Tour guides met at the train and bus arrival station. The circuit tour was great, never felt rushed. Communications with the agency during the trip were great. Make sure you have esim for the region.

Although, our original itinerary was changed, we ended up with an amazing visit to Machu Picchu with the Peru Hiker’s team. It was so nice to have the whole day planned from start to finish. Our driver, Ever, picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the train station. He told us what to expect to board and disembark the train. Our tour guide, Isao, met us at Aguas Calientes and guided us to the bus station where we took a 25-minute bus ride. There were tons of people and he showed us exactly where to go and helped us get a locker so we didn’t have to carry our coats (5 soles). We had the best time exploring and hearing about Machu Picchu, Isao is very knowledgeable! Afterwards he guided us to a restaurant and we were able to eat dinner within 50 minutes so we could catch the train back. Isao talked to the wait staff to help expedite our food. Then it was back on the train, it was a great experience. So glad we spent the extra money for the vistadome experience. It was comfortable, entertaining, and we appreciated the snacks both ways. Highly recommend! Thank you Isao!!

Where to begin, from the beginning to the end, communication was excellent with the company of Peru Hikers. The whole experience was perfect! We knew exactly where and when to meet, the taxi also messaged us as well as our guide!
From the vista dome train the adventure began! The amazing views on the way to the town was an experience in it itself, they also give a snack and beverage for the ride there and back! On the ride back they had a dancer/entertainer!
Everything on the itinerary was done as mentioned! Nothing was rushed and it was very personable! My son and I went, it was also my son's 18th bday and the company gave him a happy birthday cake at the restaurant at the end of our hike! For the tour it was just us 2 and it was perfect! The guide Isao took the best most breath taking pictures! He was also very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! We learned alot about Machu Picchu! They only do small groups which in my experience is better when going on excursions! I highly highly highly recommend to book with them for a perfect and memorable trip to Machu Picchu!

Amazing experience visiting Machu Pichu. Well organised tour and pick up from Hotel by our driver Ever. Lots of good comms and we got the bus/train without any issues. Just check your tickets for the train as we did not have seats together but the train conductress helped and we sat together. Thank you PeruRail.
We met our guide Isa at the station in Machu Pichu station - Aguas Calientes. All very easy and friendly, we got on the bus to the site.
Despite the initial fog, when we got there the sun arrived and we had a perfect view. The guide Isa, very knowledgeable and friendly and made everyone welcome. He also took so many pictures for us individually and as a group and he was much more professional than me and his photos are the best!!
We took Circuit 2 but applied for tickets 3 months before, all organised via Peru Hikers, the Peru Govt website is quite complex to navigate.
Trip back was also easy and without any problems and we even had time for lunch before we caught the train.
All round excellent trip and highly recommended from Peru Hikers and lots of thanks to our guide Isa who was excellent.
Don’t want to write too much about Machu Pichu as you should see it for yourself.
Highly recommended tour and you must visit one or the wonders of the world.

Peru Hikers and our guide Isao were the absolute best. We did the Machu Picchu day trip and full day Rainbow Mountain trips from Cusco on back to back days. The attention to detail in all the travel plans and the organization was top tier. On the tour Isao was extremely knowledgeable of all the details, moved at our pace, and more than anything a blast to hang out with. Also, added bonus — Isao was an amazing photographer! I can’t recommend Peru Hikers enough will be coming back to do more with them in the future.

The trip of a lifetime. Peru Hikers, especially Isao, took great care of us from beginning to end. Isao went at s pace that my husband, who has hip problems, was able to handle. He also kept it engaging and interesting enough to kid my three kids, ages 11, 13, and 15 excited. We loved every minute.
