高齢者の高地トレッキングもガイドさんの気配りで安全・安心！

ドライバーとガイド、15人ほどの参加者でベンツのワゴンに乗り込みます。途中軽い朝食を取って山道を進み、レインボーマウンテン駐車場に。ここから頂上までは約７Kmのトレッキングになります。別料金で馬を借りることもできます。頂上までのほとんどは、緩やかな上り坂で、ここが標高4,500mでなければ、お散歩みたいなものですが、クスコで高度順応してきたとはいえ、60際を超えるとキツイ...。グループから徐々に遅れますが、ガイドさんはグループのメンバーひとりひとりがどこにいるか常に気配りしながら見ていてくれて、時には降りてきて声をかけてくれました。頂上までの最後の数百mは急な上り坂で、特にキツかったですが、ビューポイント、そして頂上に着いたときの感動は、素晴らしいものがありました。登りではロクに楽しむことができなかったアンデス山脈の素晴らしい景色も、下りでは余裕で楽しむことができました。私たちより遅れた人もいて、全員が無事駐車場に戻るまで、ガイドさんはしっかり寄り添っていました。早めに降りた人たちは、ワゴンで休んだりお土産を買ったりできたので、文句一つ言わず、遅れて降りてきた人たちを激励・歓迎していました。下山後、朝食を摂った場所でのランチ・ブッフェは美味しかったです。早朝出発は少しきつかったけど、責任感の強いガイドさんのお陰で5,000mを超える頂上で素晴らしい景色を楽しむことができました。
