I am glad you had such a good time in Chania old town! I tend to talk a lot, because I always try to give a round experience on Greek culture, history, traditions and art. Chania old town is so beautiful and historic (the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe) that is an experience to visit!

Not a helpful tour operator

Unfortunately the tour guide didn’t question what port we were arriving. As a local, he forgot to ask which port we would arrive in. We had no idea there was one more one port. So even though we told him our ship name and he responded we came in to a port 3 hours away. How were we to know! We don’t live and work on the island. Buyer beware. He claims it was our responsibility to know what port we were arriving in. Who would ever think there was more than one port. Cruise ships usually use only one port. He got the day off at our expense. Very poor service

In the reservation you entered pick up place as Souda Port. You did not mention port in general or other clue like cruise ship name etc. I asked by message your port of call and you answered that it was Souda. How can I know that you made a mistake and expect to come in another port? Perhaps you forgot to check on Google maps the site? When you plan a holiday, you are responsible to know where you go, stay, pick up and everything is on the internet. There are many ports in Greece, not just one. Guides can help but cannot guess when you make a mistake. Its like booking a hotel in London and want to visit Eifel tower, whose fault is it? Crete is a big island and has many ports. Because the tour did not take place and it was your responsibility, its not fair to give a revenge review with low score for something we are not responsible. If I cancelled, because it was less than the 24 hours free cancellation, I had to pay penalty for something that I am not responsible.
