Central-West Crete Experience

Overall tour was very informative, surprise we had a tour guide included who was quite lovely and had a lot of knowledge, and we covered a lot of the rural surroundings with great views and small villages. We then finished in Rethymno which is a very scenic and idyllic city. Van we were in seemed a bit more for commercial usage versus passenger comfort so to us also seemed a bit too much on driving and in van versus stopping and walking more. Kind of a bumpy ride so buckle up.

The walk through Rethymno was very interesting. The walk down to the gorge was beautiful and windy. Monestary was interesting and partial walk down to beach was a great photo op.

The monastery in Preveli was our highlight and the Gorge with beautiful waterfalls. Romano’s was a very knowledgeable historian that brought some of the less interesting places to life like Rethymno Bro g a bathing suit - we couldn’t swim in several places because this was not specified
