Ricki and Jesus could not have provided us with a better day in Cozumel. They listened to what we were interested and planned the perfect day. I could not recommend them more highly.
Daniel and our driver Jesus were both great guides. They were on time to meet us in a comfortable van and were very informative on our drive. As locals they knew the area well and gave us recommendations for our tour. We wanted to see the San Gervasio ruins and were open to suggestions for the rest of the day. They showed us a cenote- sink hole and stopped where we could see a cave with bats. We went on the other side of the island to see some local beaches with great views. Daniel was happy to take some group pictures for us. They recommended a wonderful restaurant on the beach for lunch. Then we stopped at a place to learn how the Mayans made chocolate and made our own candy bars for dessert! As we made our way back to the ship, it started to rain. They were even willing to give us ponchos if we needed them. It was down to a drizzle by the time we arrived, but that goes to show you how kind they were. Oh, and we even got a private serenade from them! Don’t hesitate to book with them!!
Great tour. Guide Aldair and driver Hansel were very accommodating of our requests. We discussed various sites to visit and Aldair quickly put a plan together that met our needs. We visited the eastern coast of the island and stopped for a beverage overlooking the ocean. Then went to visit Paco the crocodile who was a little shy that day and then on the Terra Maya to be immersed in Mayan culture. We made chocolate from cacao beans using similar tools of the Mayans and had tasting of local honey and liquor. Even visited a hive of Melipona bees (they don't have stingers). Jessica knowledge and presentation was fantastic. Communication was flawless throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend.
Very easy to book. Our tour was awesome from pickup to dropoff!! Aldair and Jesus "Chewy" were tons of fun and very knowledgeable about Cozumel history. They helped so much in planning our day. We went in not really knowing what we wanted to do except to see the island. We ended up seeing so many fun and interesting places. Our party of 8 would definitely book this again. We were over satisfied with this tour. Nice comfortable, air conditioned van. Super friendly, fun guides! Plus you'll get a lot of Cozumel history! Excellent day!
We had the best experience ever with Aldair and Armando! We gave him some ideas for what we wanted to do for the day, and he knocked it out of the park! We got to do everything we wanted and then some. We ate at local restaurants, drank at local bars, had coffee from a local coffee shop, saw an alligator, saw some great views, had a tequila tour and tasting, and did some shopping- all in 5 hours! The van was comfortable and they provided waters and a/c. We learned a ton about Cozumel and now want to go back for a longer stay and do another tour with him! If you are on a cruise- do this excursion- it is way better than the cruise ship excursions. Shout out to Aldair for helping my elderly mother in law walk around and cross the street. He is the best!

We had an amazing experience in Cozumel thanks to our guide Ozzie and our driver Arturo. They took us to Mayan ruins, a beautiful beach resort, enjoyed fresh mojitos, and even a cenote Ozzie shared so much fascinating history and interesting facts about Cozumel and the Mayan culture—it really brought the island to life. Arturo was an excellent driver and made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times. The whole day was well-organized, informative, and fun. Highly recommend this tour and especially Ozzie and Arturo!

Loved this experience, so glad we booked a private tour for our 8 family members. Ricky and his driver were excellent. They asked what we were interested in doing and made a plan on how to get it done.
We first went to the Mayan Ruins and were allowed to do a self tour that was great. We then went to the Bee Sanctuary and there made and tasted chocolate, a beeswax candle, tasted salsas and various honeys. We then drove out to the other side of the island to see the surf. We then stopped and tasted tequila, chocolate and more salsa.
We were dropped back at the port.
Would recommend this tour to anyone.
We have booked this two years in a row and both times have had excellent guides and drivers. This year we had Ricky as our guide and Pedro as our driver. With 7 ships in port we wanted to find a beach without the pressure of the crowds and were very happy! We then wanted some local snacks and to see some of the wild side of the island. I loved that after being to Cozumel many times. Ricky and Pedro showed us spots I had never been. We were able to both relax and maximize our day and would highly recommend booking this private van tour. Next time we are back in Cozumel we will surely book again!
Great experience and fantastic service. Our guide, Aldair, was punctual waiting for us at the meeting point. He was very lively, entertaining and made sure everyone had a good time. We went to a Mayan village, followed by free tequila tasting and lunch at a beach. We were 11 people in our group and the van (15-seater) was very comfortable. The standard package is for 5hours and I would recommend an extra hour if you can fit in your schedule.

We scheduled a large group tour of Cozumel, and even though we arrived late, the tour guide and driver were waiting for us. The van was clean, spacious, and comfortably accommodated my family of 16 with plenty of room to spare. Our guide, Aldair, shared fascinating historical facts about Cozumel throughout the trip. Both Aldair and our driver, Jose, were incredibly patient—especially when our group struggled to agree on what to see next. They were friendly, humorous, and made sure we had a safe and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We would definitely use Viator again for future tours.

Jesus made our Cozumel adventure exactly what we were looking for! Everyone really enjoyed his company!
Jesus was very friendly, wells spoken, accommodating and helpful.
He was very knowledgeable about the island and the Mayan culture.
We had a very informative tour of the Mayan ruins.
We enjoyed chocolate tasting, 100% blue agave tequila tasting and fresh taco tasting.
We enjoyed a beautiful out of the way beach and authentic cuisine.
Our family really liked that Jesus took us to the beach that he takes his own family to on Sundays! He shared spots that him and his family go to.
Anybody looking for a personable excursion should ask for Jesus!
Gabi, our guide was fantastic. Once we shared with her what our preferences were, she was very flexible and adjusted to our preference.
Our tour guide and his manager were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. We were told misinformation by Viator so we had a hiccup in the beginning but our guide made sure to give us the best day he could and we had a great day in the end. But make sure you know exactly what the tour can provide because Viator told us things they could not do and they felt very bad they could not take us where we wanted to go.
I will start by saying I have done a lot of private tours over the years and this one was the best so far. Aldair and Jesus became part of the family on this trip. To say they were amazing would be an understatement. Our group ranged from 24 to 71 and they recommended sites that really worked for everyone. Everything was personalized and they went far and above anything we could have expected. For those who haven’t been to Cozumel and are worried about safety, don’t be. I am a worrier by nature and I never once had any concerns the entire time in Cozumel. If you take this tour and are nice people and good tippers ask for Aldair and Jesus and you won’t be disappointed. If you like to complain and not tip…please don’t ask for them…they deserve the best!
It was amazing! Our tour guide Aldair as well as his partner did such a wonderful job. Even with rainy weather we got to experience so much. Highly recommend this booking and if you can pick your guide I’d ask for him personally.
they tailor the tour to fit your family. we travelled with a handicapped father and one of the children has a fairly new prothetic leg.

Angelo and Max met us right on time and were cordial and friendly. We did not want to go to touristy stops except for the Mayan ruins. We spent about an hour and a half there. Angelo asked if we’d be interested in going to a beekeepers place. It was a small family-run business, and we enjoyed our visit there. Then we went for tacos at a local place. Angelo and Max seemed genuine in showing their pride for their home. I highly recommend this tour. We were able to do what we wanted rather than a cruise dictated schedule.
Despite the rain, we had a great day! Ricky and Hugo did a great job. We are a girlscouts troop and learned about the Maya ruins, the bees and the history of Cozumel.

We had a great tour exploring Cozumel with Aldair and Jesus. They were professional, informative and friendly! They were flexible with the itinerary, took us to several local spots, and returned us to the ship on time!
This tour was booked with the expectation of going to San Gervasio Mayan ruins. The first stop was for the monuments which were beautiful and interesting. Next stop chocolate tasting $5 per person and $15 chocolate bars. Tequila tasting $5 per person. The ruins another $15 per person. Expensive when in a large group but not unexpected. However, our guide allocated us THIRTY minutes to tour the ruins and when we weren't back came looking for us! One member stopped to buy water and he actually went into the store and told her to hurry!! Back on the van he puts his headset on and begins to explain we are now going to lunch for a cost of $14 per person! We said we just wanted to see the ruins and are now ready to go back. At that point he tossed his headset onto the dash and did not say another word to us. The bus driver was obviously embarrassed and tried to explain sights as we went by. They did make a stop at a pharmacy for us thanks to the driver. I have had other Viator tours that were among the best I've ever had but I must say this one ranks at the bottom! Would not recommend nor would I do it again.
Our other excursion canceled on us at the last minute and these guys rocked it. They made great suggestions and took great care of us. The local bee preserve was educational and interactive. Even the 8 year old in our group loved it!
