Great experience and customer service from pre-experience communication to directing us to bus stop after the event, Andrea and Lorenzo were fantastic. Outstanding wine, location and views. Pesto making was fun. Highly recommended.

We took a very cool path down from the villa to the middle of the vineyard to taste generous amounts of the 3 main wines (red, white & rosé) this local winery produces. The wines were wonderful and the pesto making was very fun and tasty paired with focaccia bread. Lots of great conversation with the guides and the rest of the group. Great views of the ocean and the cinque terre towns below. Would definitely recommend this experience!

AMAZING experience!! the son led us through their wine-making process, then took us to tables with a panoramic view of the bay and two of the cinque terre cities. we tasted the best wine i’ve ever had and made pesto! hosts were so personable and willing to help, and the views were stunning. the event overall was quiet and refreshing as it was away from the tourists. pesto was yummy! couldn’t recommend it enough!!

Absolutely stunning views, wine, focaccia and pesto. The staff were so lovely and the whole experience was 10/10. They catered to gluten free and a pine nut allergy. Could not recommend enough!

We have a week in Italy and this was one of the best tours we have done. The views were so beautiful, the owner was so genuine and I love supporting his local business. His wine is great (left with 4 bottleS) and the pesto was very tasty. 100% reccomend

Trekking through the vineyard and listening to the knowledge of the winemaker was very enjoyable. Tasting each of their wines and experiencing the authentic process of Pesto making while overlooking the ocean from high on the hillside, who could top that? Overall excellent experience.

This was unreal. The views, the pesto, the wine. Andrea was an awesome host who walked us to this absolutely beautiful view of the water with a beautiful sunset. We grinned the pesto and the focaccia along with was wonderful. The wine also was the best wine I had in all of Italy so I’d highly recommend getting a bottle for later in your stay. You will not regret booking this. Super easy to get to location wise too

Amazingly amazing views! More than you could imagine! So beautiful! Excellent wine with great teachings and fun and delicious pesto making, which we ate with yummy focciaca bread over looking the sea! Our host was wonderful!!! This is a MUST DO activity in Cinque Terre!

Ahhhh! What a wonderful evening! The winery is off in a secluded area of Volastra but we'll worth the trip. We met and learned about the winery then walked down a bit to the vineyard on the cliffs overlooking the sea where we came to a gorgeous table set up with a shade overhead as we overlooked the sea next to the rows of grapes! Our host, Andrea, and his wonderful teenage helper brought us a large bunch of basil to break down with the mortar and pestle as we listened to tales of life in Cinque Terre from our hosts and sampled their wines: a white, a rose, and sweet dessert wine. So delicious! They brought us focaccia to enjoy with our freshly made pesto. So relaxing and so beautiful on top of the cliff overlooking the sea and village below. They called us a taxi afterward and we bought some wine to take home. What a deliciously, lovely day!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at BarCa Winery! Booking and communicating with them was incredibly easy. Andrea was exceptionally accommodating when we needed to change our date and even came to assist us in finding a parking spot on the street.
The pesto class was both instructive and enjoyable, and the final result was absolutely delicious. We also had some fresh focaccia made by his friend, which was a delightful addition. The wines were phenomenal, truly showcasing the quality of Andrea's family's winemaking tradition.
The view from the winery was breathtaking. We had a private tour with our group of friends and enjoyed watching the sunset from the patio at the top of the hill. It was an unforgettable experience.
I highly recommend BarCa Winery and will definitely return on my next visit to Cinque Terre.

We were very lucky to stumble upon this hidden treasure. The winery has a charming history that manifests in Andrea’s passion for wine. The tasting and pesto making takes place overlooking the water with a view that left us completely speechless. This intimate experience captured our hearts and our taste buds, we couldn’t leave without purchasing a bottle. From the handpicked grapes to the handmade wine carrier bags, courtesy of Andrea’s mother, it was an authentic experience that made us feel like locals. A bittersweet farewell until we return next time.

This felt like a once in a lifetime experience. So much so that I actually choked up and got a little teary-eyed. Andrea was the perfect host and guide. The story of how he created his winery and his family’s history of growing grapes on the hillsides of Cinque Terre, it could be a book or movie. He weaves tales about his family and their history throughout the experience, from his father’s art on the bottle labels to the wine glass caddies hand-sewn by his mother.
The experience takes place high atop the hillside amidst the grapevines of his vineyard, at shaded tables overlooking the expansive sea and the town of Manarola. We watched the sun set as Andrea filled our glasses with samples of his various wines and we worked our locally-sourced ingredients in a Cararra marble mortar and pestle (the train passed by the Cararra marble quarry on the way to Manarola).
The group consisted of our family of four and one other couple who were so much fun. The small group size meant that we received personalized attention and guidance throughout the experience.
I highly recommend this excursion. I don’t think there is another experience in Cinque Terre that can top this.

Andrea gave us a great experience!!! The entire group sat in awe of the scenery around us. If you enjoy red or rose this is a great experience, those are unique finds in cinque terre! Wear good shoes for the “trekking” part. Not a terrible walk at all but does require some navigating on dirt paths. We loved it. An absolute can’t miss!

I had the best experience with Andrea. He was so welcoming and very responsive. Since it was off season he offered to pick us up from manarola. The views were perfect at sunset and the pesto making process was soo fun!! The wine is very tasty and I love how it’s family grown. Definitely would recommend as I would do it all over again!! DEFINITELY BOOK THIS IF YOU WANT TO EXTRA EXPERIENCE IN CINQUE TERRE!

We had an Incredible experience at the Barca vineyards!
The family vineyards are perched on cliffs overlooking the Cinque Terre coast line. It was amazing sitting there overlooking the Sea tasting their wines and crafting pesto. The whole experience from start to finish was great. They are a small family operation and we loved getting to see their farm, meet the family (including Tito the family farm dog) and soak up the experience. Andrea had us stay later so we could watch a stunning sunset on the cliffs over the water while savoring more wine and pesto.
Andrea was very responsive and helpful providing instructions on how to get to their village, and even picked us up in town and dropped us back off due to the late season bus times not being as frequent. We cannot say enough good things about this experience and hope to be back!

Our guide, Andrea, was awesome! He was very knowledgable and passionate about the wine and pesto making process. He also made sure we stayed long enough to watch the sun set on the Ligurian Sea which was breathtaking in a vineyard at the top of the terraced mountain.

We really enjoyed this tour! The winery is small and family owned. The hike through the vineyard was amazing. We arrived at the small table set up for pesto making overlooking the sea. It was picture perfect! We sipped different wines, enjoyed the fresh pesto we had just made and watched the sun set. We loved how private it was, just our group. A fun and unique experience!

Unbelievable experience! Andrea was a great host.. we drank amazing wine and learned how to make pesto from scratch. The hike to the experience was so unexpected and beautiful. Would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Cinque Terre.
