Since 2019, we are the first to offer Vernazza an experience dedicated to preparing pesto in the mortar, combining cooking, territory, conviviality, and tasting. You will learn to prepare pesto by hand, using selected ingredients. The experience takes place in a typical Cinque Terre cellar, with stone and wood, reminiscent of the atmosphere of old Vernazza. 12:30 - PESTO CLASS We will start with wine, focaccia, cheeses, and extra virgin olive oils. You will prepare your pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. The pesto will then be used to dress the gnocchi which you will eat with a third wine. We will conclude with limoncello and chocolate. 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM – PESTO SNACK CLASS After a taste of wine, you will prepare the pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. We will accompany it with focaccia, cheeses, oils, and a third wine. Finally, a real little shoe with bread and focaccia directly in the mortar! If you want the class in French, communicate it at the time of the reservation.

Pesto class & Wine tasting Unique opportunity to get to know our cellar, its history, its wines, the heroic viticulture of the Cinqueterre. -Vineyard tours: We will take you on a tour of the BarCa cellar and the historic vineyards of the Barrani-Capellini family, illustrating the different winemaking processes, from grape harvesting to bottling. -Wine tasting: You will taste the different types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre DOC, Rosaluna rosé wine and Memento cru white wine directly in the vineyard overlooking the sea, far from the tourist chaos of the Cinqueterre. -Pesto class: The tasting will be accompanied by a pesto class where you will be the one to cook your basil pesto directly in the mortar, discovering the secrets of the family recipe! A short but fascinating hike overlooking the sea to discover Vernazza and the terraced landscape of the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, we'll visit a beautiful lemon grove belonging to the Azienda Agricola La Bottega, where we'll enjoy a tasting of limoncino (made from the lemons surrounding us) and other typical Cinque Terre products, such as Cinque Terre DOC wine, accompanied by traditional Ligurian focaccia.

Take a walk on one of the lesser-known but most fascinating trails of the Cinque Terre. After a quick but engaging visit to the town of Vernazza, we will start climbing along the fascinating mule track towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio (about 1 hour) at an altitude of 330 meters. During the climb, we will admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its characteristic terraces supported by kilometers of dry-stone walls, where olives and grapes are cultivated to produce prestigious wines. In front of the shaded Sanctuary Square stands a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic leccio. Before going down, we will visit the fascinating olive grove of Azienda Agricola la Bottega, where Ligure DOP extra virgin olive oil is produced. It will also be an opportunity to visit two cute ponies, which are the mascots of the farm. During the tour you can enjoy a glass of DOC 5 Terre wine accompanied by the typical Ligurian focaccia.

From there the navigation begins along one of the most iconic stretches of Italy: spectacular cliffs, terraced vineyards and the villages of Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, admired from a privileged perspective from the sea. During navigation there are bathing and snorkeling stops. In one of the stops, a platter of Ligurian focaccia with pesto and stracchino is served. The atmosphere is convivial and relaxed: soft music, drinks always available and views that change with every minute. The finish is the sweetest: sweet Ligurian and limoncino served on board, while returning to Monterosso. The aim is to make the real Cinque Terre known, their history which is very much linked to the production of wine, for this we will take a walk in the vineyards to be able to see up close the famous dry stone walls and the vineyards clinging to the rock. Later we will visit an authentic and ancient production cellar in the country and then we will taste with a technical guide of a native sommelier of Manarola and connoisseur of the wine of the Cinque Terre and their history. We will taste 3 wines and recognize the different wine aromas and its sensations.

Watch the sun set over Cinque Terre with this small-group boat tour. You'll head out from the Monterosso Pier, passing by colorful villages such as Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore for photos along the way. You'll also stop in the village of Vernazza, where you'll have some time to explore before hopping back on your boat and heading back to Monterosso.

Our brand new, spacious 34-foot boat (built in 2025) combines comfort, safety and first-class furnishings. You can admire Monterosso, Vernazza, Coniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore from the sea. Please note that the departure is always from LEVANTO; from MONTEROSSO, the DEPARTURE IS 30 MIN LATER. We recommend departing with us from Levanto so you can admire the coast and the marine protected area. Trips may however be subject to change, depending on weather and sea conditions. The Sunset Tour will be subject to schedule changes based on sunset time.
