I had an amazing time learning how to cook trofie pasta, pesto and tiramisu with Luca!
He was a great teacher, bubbly personality and very knowledgeable about the region. He has a very warm and welcoming home up in the hills of Riomaggiore.
It was my first night on my solo trip to Cinque Terre and it was a great way to quick off the weekend. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience, who is staying in the region!

Everything was great! Probably one of the best pastas we had while in Italy. Luca was so fun and informative and the class ran very smoothly. Would highly recommend
Luca was very friendly and accommodating. The pesto was otherworldly and he made everything easy to understand. He also gave brief histories of some of the ingredients which really elevated the experience.
What a wonderful experience! We loved learning about the history, culture, techniques, and joy of cooking pesto! Luca was so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and a fantastic host. We shared a special evening together and made new friends. Highly recommend!!! Our meal was delicious!!! 😃❤️
Luca was gracious and funny. He explained the regional culture of the food and talked us through each element. His communication and directions prior to the class was excellent. Absolutely follow his map. There are quite a few stair once you make the turn, be ready.
The food was delightful. We had a great group of 8 people so we had plenty of opportunity to learn.
FANTASTIC! Cooking with Luca was one of our favorite experiences on our trip. Luca is awesome! He is a great teacher (we learned a lot) and his class was so fun. We took the ferry from Monterosso to Riomaggiore for our class. It was a beautiful ride, but our time with Lucca was even more magical. Lucca is a delightful host. We learned history of the food and he was very funny and kind in his instruction. Our meal was perfectly delicious! It was our best night in Italy/CT so far. Would highly recommend this amazing class with Lucca!
Luca was a fantastic host, very knowledgeable about local culture and cuisine. The pasta was the best we had the entire time we were in Cinque terre and we had a great time making it - views from his apartment are also amazing! LGBTQ friendly
Luca was a delightful host. The map given the morning of the cooking class is the only one you should use. Google doesn't work.
What a lovely afternoon. Our cooking class was so much fun! Luca is an excellent teacher, a great host, and a funny and delightful person. We made tiramisu, the most delicious pesto, and a pasta that everyone else in the class but me learned to shape! It was, nevertheless, delicious.
Luca provides a friendly, fun and authentic experience that is not to be missed. You do not need to be a cook to enjoy this activity. You just need to be enthusiastic and of course hungry!
My wife and I loved the entire event and would happily join Luca again for another evening!

By far our favorite experience so far in Italy. Our host Luca welcomed us into his home and made us feel like we had known each other for years. The cooking experience was amazing and will be utilized extensively with our family.
Luca was so kind and patient. He has a great sense of humor as well. Enjoyed learning in his kitchen. We were lucky enough to have a private class making trofie pasta and pesto as well as tiramisu. Although making the pasta shape was quite a challenge for us(ha ha), it still tasted amazing. Thank you so much Luca.

Luca was a fun host and it was a very enjoyable experience. We made a delicious meal and there were a lot of laughs. You must be prepared that there is NO restroom for use during the experience and lots of steps to get to the apartment.
Luca was very welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. He was an excellent host. The experience was well organized and we had a great time making all three things. The meal turned out delicious and we can’t wait to try to recreate them at home. May be difficult because his ingredients were so excellent, but we will try. Highly recommended.
If you want a true, authentic experience, don’t think, just book! We had such a wonderful time in Luca’s charming home learning how to make traditional dishes while enjoying wine and exchanging laughs and stories. You have never tasted pesto as divine as you will have at this experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want a truly authentic experience.
We had a wonderful evening learning how to make pesto and tiramisu with Luca! It was an intimate setting in his apartment that had a beautiful view, and Luca was funny, nice, and engaging. The meal ended up being one our favorites and definitely the best pesto pasta we have ever had!
Luca includes a good mix of culinary history of Italy, information on how to cook well, and humor to make the experience fun and very personable. It was one of our favorite experiences in Cinque Terre

Extremely disappointing!! We never found the location, address listed on the event booking does not exist. Directions on the event booking are inaccurate. Owner doesn’t share accurate location in timely manner, which is absolutely dire to finding this place and should be provided upon booking or corrected on booking site! Then he cancels when you can’t find it if you are 15 minutes late and still charges full amount!! We had 3 phones searching on 3 different map apps and asked many locals in the area and were still unable to locate this event! Do Not Book!!! We’ve requested a full refund and are still waiting!!!

The directions were sent multiple times. I do this for all of my bookings. Three other guests followed the directions and arrived without any difficulty. We delayed the start of the class for 40 minutes waiting for your arrival, which impacted the vacation of the other guests. As stated in the booking policy, there are NO refunds for missing the class. Ciao!
PLEASE NOTE: Directions on how to get to my home are always sent on time 1) in the welcome message (address and how to reach the village) and 2) in the message on the morning of the experience (address, useful directions and a map). It is important to read messages and call for emergencies my mobile number available in the confirmation email.
Luca was so kind! His energy is wonderful and he taught my friend and I a lot about the history of pesto and tiramisu. He helped guide us through every step of the class.

An absolutely amazing experience. A highlight of our time in Cinque Terre. So authentic being at Luca’s house. He is a wonderful guide who made us all laugh. His place is easy to find - follow his instructions. The food was incredible and genuinely a very authentic Italian experience.
This was so fun and we learned a lot in just one class. Luca was patient, funny, and knowledgeable. He was able to simplify for less experienced cooks like us. We can’t wait to practice what we learned when we get home.
Luca is super nice and the class is so fun and lively. His instructions are clear and easy to follow that made my family enjoyed it so much. And most importantly the food we made were so delicious and amazing and will definitely follow his recipe at home.
Luca was very welcoming, charming and interesting. He made creating the small curled paste look so easy, but it isn’t. He made it fun to try it ourselves though we were poor students. Fun nonetheless. We recommend this experience.
Luca was very informative and informative about pasta, pesto and tiramisu. It was fun making the dishes. The serving portion of pesto and pasta was too large for a couple of ladles. We were there over 3 hours. We feel bathroom access was necessary.

Hello, thank you for your review. I will answer so that future guests can have a more in-depth view. I would like to point out that there is some important information available on the Experience profile regarding what is included and excluded. Since hygiene is important to me it’s not possible to share my private bathroom (which, as I explained, is located in another part of the apartment with a different entrance) with other people.

Honestly during the class we prepare about 150gr of fresh pasta per person which is a normal portion for an adult and I don’t think it can be topic for a review the fact that is considered large.

Unfortunately I have to tell you something not really nice because your group made too much noise and my neighbor complained.
It was nice to have you as guests anyway and I hope you can prepare the recipes when you are home. Best regards :) L.
Luca provided very nice experience! Highly recommend this cooking class. We learned about the history of the meal and importance of each ingredient.
