He was a great teacher, bubbly personality and very knowledgeable about the region. He has a very warm and welcoming home up in the hills of Riomaggiore.
It was my first night on my solo trip to Cinque Terre and it was a great way to quick off the weekend. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience, who is staying in the region!

He was a great teacher, bubbly personality and very knowledgeable about the region. He has a very warm and welcoming home up in the hills of Riomaggiore.
It was my first night on my solo trip to Cinque Terre and it was a great way to quick off the weekend. I would definitely recommend to someone looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience, who is staying in the region!

By far our favorite experience so far in Italy. Our host Luca welcomed us into his home and made us feel like we had known each other for years. The cooking experience was amazing and will be utilized extensively with our family.

Luca was so kind and patient. He has a great sense of humor as well. Enjoyed learning in his kitchen. We were lucky enough to have a private class making trofie pasta and pesto as well as tiramisu. Although making the pasta shape was quite a challenge for us(ha ha), it still tasted amazing. Thank you so much Luca.

Luca was a fun host and it was a very enjoyable experience. We made a delicious meal and there were a lot of laughs. You must be prepared that there is NO restroom for use during the experience and lots of steps to get to the apartment.

Luca was very welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. He was an excellent host. The experience was well organized and we had a great time making all three things. The meal turned out delicious and we can’t wait to try to recreate them at home. May be difficult because his ingredients were so excellent, but we will try. Highly recommended.

If you want a true, authentic experience, don’t think, just book! We had such a wonderful time in Luca’s charming home learning how to make traditional dishes while enjoying wine and exchanging laughs and stories. You have never tasted pesto as divine as you will have at this experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want a truly authentic experience.

We had a wonderful evening learning how to make pesto and tiramisu with Luca! It was an intimate setting in his apartment that had a beautiful view, and Luca was funny, nice, and engaging. The meal ended up being one our favorites and definitely the best pesto pasta we have ever had!

Extremely disappointing!! We never found the location, address listed on the event booking does not exist. Directions on the event booking are inaccurate. Owner doesn’t share accurate location in timely manner, which is absolutely dire to finding this place and should be provided upon booking or corrected on booking site! Then he cancels when you can’t find it if you are 15 minutes late and still charges full amount!! We had 3 phones searching on 3 different map apps and asked many locals in the area and were still unable to locate this event! Do Not Book!!! We’ve requested a full refund and are still waiting!!!

The directions were sent multiple times. I do this for all of my bookings. Three other guests followed the directions and arrived without any difficulty. We delayed the start of the class for 40 minutes waiting for your arrival, which impacted the vacation of the other guests. As stated in the booking policy, there are NO refunds for missing the class. Ciao!
PLEASE NOTE: Directions on how to get to my home are always sent on time 1) in the welcome message (address and how to reach the village) and 2) in the message on the morning of the experience (address, useful directions and a map). It is important to read messages and call for emergencies my mobile number available in the confirmation email.

An absolutely amazing experience. A highlight of our time in Cinque Terre. So authentic being at Luca’s house. He is a wonderful guide who made us all laugh. His place is easy to find - follow his instructions. The food was incredible and genuinely a very authentic Italian experience.

Luca was very welcoming, charming and interesting. He made creating the small curled paste look so easy, but it isn’t. He made it fun to try it ourselves though we were poor students. Fun nonetheless. We recommend this experience.

Luca was very informative and informative about pasta, pesto and tiramisu. It was fun making the dishes. The serving portion of pesto and pasta was too large for a couple of ladles. We were there over 3 hours. We feel bathroom access was necessary.

Hello, thank you for your review. I will answer so that future guests can have a more in-depth view. I would like to point out that there is some important information available on the Experience profile regarding what is included and excluded. Since hygiene is important to me it’s not possible to share my private bathroom (which, as I explained, is located in another part of the apartment with a different entrance) with other people.

Honestly during the class we prepare about 150gr of fresh pasta per person which is a normal portion for an adult and I don’t think it can be topic for a review the fact that is considered large.

Unfortunately I have to tell you something not really nice because your group made too much noise and my neighbor complained.

We enjoyed our evening with other travelers and Lucca. The food was very good that we made and Lucca was good about the history of our food. There are many stairs to access the location, and many instructions to follow from the host. The time listed for the activity ran much longer for us.

Luca was a great cooking host and teacher. My friend and I had so much fun and Luca was very kind and gentle with us as we were trying to perfect the technique of making pasta. Luca is brilliant and he made us feel comfortable with something totally new!! The info says to arrive 20 minutes early but really arrive at the start of the cooking time where you ring his flat. He explains everything well and includes cultural history about the ingredients. His instructions on how to get there are brilliantly correct and easy!! The group was small and he made the class interactive amongst everybody. We all had tasks. Dinner was superb. A must if you’re in the area. View is beautiful as well!!

Had a wonderful experience! We went for lunch and truly enjoyed ourselves. Luca and his beautiful assistant made everyone feel welcomed in their lovely home.
The lunch we prepared was delicious and filling. A great thing to do on a rainy day in Cinque Terre.
Must be able to climb many stairs to get to the apartment, and on Viator this claims to be for a group
Of 4. Well that part is misleading since there can be multiple groups of 4. We had two groups of 4. It was crowded, be we enjoyed the others’ company! We would recommend this experience.

We loved learning about the history of the dishes that we made and appreciated that recipes were emailed the next day. It was fun to enjoy our work with travelers from other places. Our instructor really helped us learn how to roll out and form the pasta and get the right texture for pesto. Slow food is enjoyable when made together and enjoyed together.
