Overview

Spend the day discovering one of the world’s most beautiful and active volcanoes during this small-group trip to Mt. Etna. Depart in the morning from Catania and head to Rifugio Sapienza at Etna’s base. Travel by cable car and off-road vehicle up to the volcano’s craters, and go for a hike. Following a delicious Sicilian lunch, you’ll also discover the region’s spectacular lava caves before returning to Catania.

Although our tour was restricted to the lower levels due to high winds, our guides extensive knowledge in both geology and biology (he was a young biologist), plus the excitement of climbing down into a lava tube (ladder also available for us 2 oldies!) Most impressed with the strong rapour the guide grew and maintained throughout the tour, that encouraged questions and discussions that resonated and continued within the group. Everyone came away with both a greater understanding of Etna's geology, flora & fauna, happy memories of a unique experience and great day out with fun like minded people!

Experience décevante pour ce tarif. Le guide ne parlait pas français( même si il était sympathique) alors que sur la réservation il était précisé que le guide parlerai français. De plus l'excursion était de 8 personnes maxi à la réservation et on s'est retrouvé à plus de 40(j'ai compté tellement il y avait du monde. Visite expéditive sur l etna. Nous avons été déçu du programme

De toute façon, nous vous informions que nos excursion se déroulent avec un maximum de 8 personnes parce que tous nos minivans peuvent accommoder 8 personnes en total; nous ne pouvons prévoir le réservations de la Funivia dell'Etna (la compagnie de la téléférique), parce que c'est une autre compagnie :) Nous espérons de vous voir encore en future.
