Amazing Experience

Our Mt Etna Summit excursion was nothing short of phenomenal. Our tour guide , Zelia spoke perfect English and was a knowledgeable and kind guide that shared loads of information from native plant species to geological facts about the volcano and its history. One of the highlights of our experience in Sicily. Highly recommend.

We had already done the 4x4 tour which we enjoyed but wanted to get closer to the summit and this tour certainly delivers. Our guide, Zelia, was fantastic and so good with the children aged 7and 9. A real highlight of our Sicilian trip

It was a fantastic!! An experience of a lifetime. We’re so glad we decided to do this tour. We was picked up by Samuela, best tour guide by the way, highly recommended. So informative. Guided us all the way up to mount Etna, then to a cave. Then to a shop were we was able to taste some produce grown from Etna’s healthy soil. Wonderful experience!! highly worth doing.

Excellent trip for our young family

We were picked up by our guide Salvo from our selected hotel, and due to a little traffic he kept us well informed of his ETA. our family of four, with two young children (6y and 9y olds) enjoyed it immensely. Salvo was very nice, although not as talkative or forthcomming with information on the trip as we hoped, he was always happy to answer all our questions. The cable car and 4x4 buses at the summit were great and there was a short 500m walk at the top with a slight incline on uneven rock sand, which was fine for our family. We saw large craters and were as close to the smoking summit as you would like to get. The temperature at the top was fine, but the two children felt the cold quickly, so take warm coats and they will be fine. The trip to the lava cave was short but enjoyable, it was quite a small cave. The kids enjoyed the food tasting of honey, wine, olives and oil. All in all we have some great memories. The price for under 11s for the cable car and 4x4, was cheaper at €50 rather than the adult cost of €78. There is a resturant at the top of the cable car also, which was nice. I would recommend this excursion for you families wanting the full Etna experience without a lot of hiking.

Super excursion avec Zelia qui est venue nous chercher à Catane et nous a guidés tout au long de la journée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’expérience avec notre guide passionnée, intéressante et originaire du plus proche village de l’Etna, là où nous avons pu déguster miel, huile, vin et produits locaux. Nous avions hésité entre plusieurs agences avant de réserver notre excursion pour l’Etna et nous recommandons celle-ci. De plus, nous avons eu la chance d’être seuls (2) avec la guide pendant l’excursion (à part la partie en haut de l’Etna obligatoirement accompagnée par un vulcanologue), quel privilège et quel confort ! Un grand merci à Zelia !
