Everyone was so friendly, full of energy and loving what they do. The day party spot at the island was amazing but that fish.....I need another piece of the black tilapia.
Could have used a little details from the tour guides about the island history but I was good. Also the having to get my own transportation back from the dock once it was over was not cool.

Cholón was absolutely AMAZING! 🌴🌊 From the water to the nonstop party vibes, the entire day was such a good time. The atmosphere was energetic, the music was on point, and everyone was just there to have fun and enjoy themselves. 🍹🎶
If you’re looking for a day on the water with great vibes, drinks, music, and a PARTY, Cholón is definitely the place to be! One of the highlights of the trip for sure. We had an unforgettable time and would 100% do it again! 🥳🚤💦
Javier was great to work with. Did a good job with the group, cholon was the highlight. Other stops weren’t necessary.
There’s quite a bit to share about this experience. First and foremost, I highly recommend bringing pesos with you, as it makes transactions on the island much easier.
While the excursion had its enjoyable moments, there were several issues that impacted our overall experience. We began the tour at 8:30 AM, but lunch wasn’t served until 1:45 PM. It felt as though the delay was intentional to encourage guests to purchase food on the island. Unfortunately, when our meal finally arrived, the fish was cold and had to be remade.
Be cautious when ordering food and drinks—especially those recommended by the tour guide. We ordered a drink without checking the price and were shocked to find it cost $77 USD each. Prices across the island were extremely high, and using a credit card incurs an additional 15% fee.
The duration of the tour also felt excessive. We were on the island from 10:30 AM until around 4:00 PM. At one point, the guide mentioned that someone had paid to extend our stay, which was inconsiderate to those with flights or other commitments.
If I were to visit the island again, I would opt to charter a private boat and bring my own snacks and beverages. The prices were exorbitant, and the constant solicitation from local vendors was overwhelming—you often had to be firm for them to leave you alone.
This experience was cool. There are opportunities to party with new people! The food wasn’t that expensive. The most difficult part was riding in the speed boat back to the city because they are fighting the waves , tides or current and you will feel like you’re going to fall off !
Honestly, we thought we would get skin disease l. The water was SUPER dirty. The island itself was full of trash and smelled terrible. The tour guide was late around 30 minutes to the meeting point which was super annoying because your already waking up super early on vacation and you had to wait for him to arrive. Once your there, you cannot even enjoy a drink because every second someone is trying to sell you something and they just don’t go away + the drinks were also SUPER overpriced. Definitely don’t recommend.
. While the tour was fun there are things you should note, when you arrive at colon there’s no where to relax. No chairs, you’re standing the entire time. No entertainment. No music. Relying on yachts music. Also your charged for everything including the bathroom. Fun but choose Bora Beach Club!
Such an exciting and enjoyable experience for my friends and me. It was indeed a party in the water, with opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing. However, the timing of lunch was towards the end at Cholon, so having breakfast or bringing snacks is advisable. We encountered persistent vendors selling excursions, but once we declined, they left us alone. There were some minor incidents with personal belongings, such a random person wearing my bucket hat I left on the boat. Additionally, the boat ride back was a bit bumpy, especially at the front of the boat. If you want to feel like you’re on a roller coaster for an hour, definitely sit at the front of the boat. Overall, it was a fun and memorable day trip.
This excursion is a must. The entire experience is fun. The prices are a little overpriced but they are negotiable. I don’t think that this is a family friendly event. There’s a lot of drinking and smoking happening. But the overall event is worth the money. My only takeaway is that they need chairs. You’re placed at high tables that are in the ocean and they do not have chairs. You’re standing for the entire event which is about 4 hours. We arrived to the island around 11am and did not receive our included meal til about 230pm which is a long time when you’re drinking. Our tour guide, Adriano was super attentive and helped with translation and anything we needed. I would recommend and I would definitely return.
The operators of the tour were professional. They started and ended the tour on time and gave early notice about any delays . I also feel like these operators were the life of the party as the music is played from the boats and our boat had the loudest music with the best vibes.Cholon was super fun for the beach and party experience especially if you go with a group that can have a good time .
On the other hand :
1.The locals are continuously trying to sell their products/ services which can be a bit annoying
2.The food offered is mediocre but it fills a gap especially when drinking
3.The drinks on the island are very expensive, some people walked with their own bottle .
4.Carry own towel and place your items in a waterproof bag because you get off the boat directly in the water
5.You pay to use the restroom on the island
THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM. Air-conditioned vehicle? Nope. Be prepared to walk. Don't expect to leave at 7 or have a full day tour. Once you are "picked up" 45 minutes late, you'll spend 1.5 hours sitting in a coffee/breakfast spot where you feel obligated to buy food or drink. (I imagine the tour company is getting kickbacks). You won't leave until 9:30am. Be prepared to stand on the boat or squat on a cooler - they over-book. Despite the early wake-up call and multiple requests from others on the boat, you don't get lunch until 2:30pm when you are about to leave. It is just a ploy to get you to spend more money on the island. Your "guide" (in our case Alfonso) was nowhere to be found for most of the trip. But he will make you uncomfortable and come around asking for tips. He didn't even bother helping us off the boat and after I fell, cut my leg, and was bleeding, he could not be troubled to come over to check on whether I was okay. He just sat there while others tried to help me. To be clear, the island itself is great - just don't book this tour.
Host was responsive and courteous. Also Cholon Forever was a good vibe and fun experience. I would recommend to my friends.
Pick up NO DROP OFF .Let’s start with your meeting point has many aggressive locals hounding you to purchase souvenirs, The tour guide Adriano was ok but spoke minimal English, My group did Not understanding anything no safety instructions were given .We made one stop for enjoyment & swimming it took about 1hr to get to the actual location not bad. Once we arrived no one assisted us getting off the boat the area had to be deeper than 7ft. Ppl kept going completely under the water. My group had to force the tour guide to bring us some assistance or pull the boat closer. they did both. The actual experience off of the boat was 5 stars to food & drinks were good. The return was the worst language barrier again no instructions given. I had to ask several times for a life jacket “no comprende” after I noticed the guy started driving the boat like a maniac. The water was super choppy & it felt like being on a speed boat for 1hr very dangerous my entire group had to hold on for dear life. The return made the experience HORRIBLE. Even worst
Once returned back to the wall city, the aggressive locals pick pocketed my friend for her phone

This was absolutely the best damn tour I’ve ever been on. Ask for Randy to be your tour guide. Randy was kind and very attentive. He made sure we were not scammed by any vendors, we were safe and well taken care of. Book the the tour with this group. No one else will give you the same dope add experience. We had such a good time and I’m definitely coming back.
This excursion had all the potential in the world! Music is a big part of my experience when ever I go out for fun! When I read the description it highlighted a mix of music which is cool with me. However, when we got to Cholon to party, they literally played Reggaeton the ENTIRE time. Yes, I know I am in Colombia but did not want to hear Reggaeton for 3 hrs. When we asked the DJ for a little hip hop segment, he pointed to the crowd which of course was predominantly Hispanic, indicating that he needs to cater to that population of the crowd and screw the other patrons. The DJ reluctantly played ONE hip hop song very low, so low we were singing along louder than the record was playing. It was just a total buzzkill. Also that 30 min swim in the Isles of Rosario should be omitted. Waste of time. Oh a we ended up spending $278 on one round of shots, 2 orders (hand full each) of fries and 3 cocktails. We had dinner at a 5 star restaurant here, enjoyed a three course meal plus multiple drinks for $150. Rip off. Never again.

Randy was an amazing tour guide. He had a great knowledge of the city and went above and beyond to ensure our safety during the tour. He Walked us through every transaction to ensure we weren’t taken advantage of by vendors. Amazing experience will definitely book again.
I want to start by saying if you visit Cartagena YOU MUST VISIT THE ISLAND OF CHOLÓN ❤️ This is the party island of all party islands. Drinks, hooka, music, dancing and all the good fun. Our tour guy was amazing, the boat was great, and the experience was 10/10 I would highly recommend. Things to note: THINGS ON THIS ISLAND ARE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ie hooka is rented by the hour we had 2 for 2 hours we paid $386 USD. Bring your own EVERYTHING bottles, mixers, coolers! Besides that everything was great!
Great boat tour of Cholon Island! Our tour guide was a lot of fun and she made the day a blast! If you’re looking to party and have a great time, book this tour! Don’t forget to pack sunscreen, water, water shoes to protect your feet and snacks as lunch isn’t served until late in the day.
