Overview

Itinerary

Meet your guide near Punta Nizuc National Park, part of a chain of coral reefs that connect to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest coral reef in the world. Start the day in your own, personal 2-person speedboat—take the wheel as you zip through narrow channels lined with lush mangroves and tropical plants. Take in the sights and sounds of this remarkable forest, then break into open water as you head towards Punta Nizuc.

Suit up with snorkeling equipment and slip into the water to explore the reef: find some of Punta Nizuc’s dozens of coral types, look for four kinds of sea turtles that feed and nest along the coast and see over 100 kinds of fish. Take in views back towards Cancun along the turquoise-colored shoreline and enjoy the serenity of the protected spot. You may even see some of Punta Nizuc’s underwater sculptures, where remarkable art is entwined with the natural environment. Choose from several departures throughout the day.
