Overview

Sail to Isla Mujeres from Cancun for a full day of fun in the sun. Stop for snorkeling in the clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean, then head to a private beach club on Isla Mujeres. Enjoy a buffet lunch spread, and have time to hang out at North Beach or go shopping downtown. I was hesistant to go on this tour as a solo traveler but the crew wa amazing! I had the best time and would definitly do the tour again! They all did a great job ! I had the best time. This was probably the best tour I did on my trip.

Crew was great and very attentive. We had 45 min to snorkel, as well as 1 1/2 hours each at the other 2 stops. I felt like there was plenty of time at each stop. The first stop was more of a relaxing beach vibe with lunch included, which was not the best food (but ok) and a nice variety. The second stop had a nice beach area but you must pay for seating at this place. There is lots of shopping, it is very much a place to bargain if you are into that. Both places had options for massage, hair braiding, etc and foods. Overall would recommend as a great way to see Isla Mujeres. The highlight of our trip was the crew though. Great job!

The La Lupita team was incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of the whole trip. They took us on such a cool adventure to see the underwater museum and snorkel with beautiful fish and sting rays!

Not what we expected

Honestly we expected more but post Covid maybe we shouldn’t have. The people who rant the tour were extremely nice, although they did try and make me feel bad for not paying more for an add on tour (we didn’t want to do anything more then relax on the beach and shop) but the upselling out here is ridiculous. However the catamaran was a smooth ride but being in the hot Mexican sun was much harder then I thought it would be, also the drinks were extremely watered down to the point were u needed at least 6-10 to feel anything ( which I wasn’t going to do) also the buffet was not good and the line was long to wait for food. The buffet is shared with several other tours so be prepared for that. If I had known I would have spent a bit more for a more personalized tour that had something exclusively for us. Also the water was murky and smelled like rotten eggs so we didn’t go in, also lots and lots of seaweed. So overall i wouldn’t go on this particular type of excursion again but we did it once so now we know.

We don't know what to expect with customers either. It is very frustrating to have passengers like you, when you know beforehand that it is a SHARED TOUR. and in something I will make the suggestion to you to hire something private for you. And The water was murky and smelled like rotten eggs you are talking about, please specify that it is called ZARGAZO ( seaweed) and it is the season and over which we have no control because it is a NATURAL phenomenon, it is not like this 365 days a year, unfortunately it was your turn that there was the day you take your activity

Had a great time on the boat. The crew was amazing. Never had to ask twice for a drink. Isla Mujeres was a quality experience. Tequila tasting was amazing. Buffet lunch was OK. Nothing special but the staff on the island were very accommodating. Downside of trip was that we did not get to snorkel. As a result of adverse wind conditions Harbor Master often shuts down the reef to tourists to protect it and the swimmers from injury.

Fun, crew did well to get group moving and having fun. Challenges were the directions were quick and not so specific. Would be helpful to hear more of what to expect. Sound system for mike was not working / broken speaker. Fun time and beautiful sites…

We did this excursion with friends and one of them is handicapped. The crew helped her in and out of the catamaran, up and down stairs. The snorkeling was fantastic, the buffet was delicious, shopping downtown was good, and the drinks were plentiful! We had a really fun day.

The guys on the tour were awesome! The whole ride was beautiful there and back…we drank unlimited tequila sunrises …and my most enjoyable part was the snorkeling I saw the most beautiful fish and sea creatures and plants, best of all the Musa statues!! when we got to the island we ate and shopped til we dropped then swam and drank and shopped some more…the staff and team were awesome and entertaining and they made sure we were never left behind and made us feel welcomed and safe to travel on a adventurous day with them next time we come….Lupita!!!!🧜‍♀️🌊💦🛥💙🔥🔥🥳🤩💯

Great time on a boat

This was a great experience.. perfect size boar for small groups and didn't feel overcrowded. Leo is a great host and very accommodating. So much to do in one day for an excellent price. Only thing I didn't love was the food and drinks. Drinks didn't taste good and didn't taste strong. Food was alright. Overall though great experience.

Great crew. Snorkeling was fabulous. It’s a smaller boat, but we enjoyed being with a smaller group of people. We had fun walking around the island and shopping. Very relaxing day!!

Im so sorry Sometimes ir really hard to please everybody, this a family Catamaran, is not a party Catamaran, they are plenty of other options yet you decided to book La Lupita it is a catamaran to enjoy and relax. I give had 31 passengers and you are the only one who complained

This is the first time I've been to Cancun and one a catamaran tour. It was an amazing experience ! The crew was friendly, people of the boat very friendly, music was amazing, drinks and food buffet on island was great!! We had enough time for activities and on island. We had a fun time ! I would have loved more if the crew and host on boat was bilingual. Most conversation was in spanish and everyone understood spanish pretty well. We got the gist of it though. Thanks La Lupita for this tour. Hope to tour with you again when we visit Cancun !

The crew was really nice and accommodating but the boat was a bit to crowded for the size. There was no option to move around and sunbath. Food was great, snorkeling was fun and beach time was nice. It was still a fun adventure. Bring lots of sun block.

Worst experience

This trip sucked because we didn’t even get to go on it. We went to the pier and they sent us to another pier. We got dragged around for an hour and the boat left without us from where we originally started!

Miss Amber Johson It was not our fault that you went to another Marina like you are saying right now, we sent the instructions to you in writing. Name of the marina, Hotel where is located at, Name of the Catamaran and address. You did not use any of the tools to communicate with us and yet you were wasting your time for 1 hour when you could have communicated directly with Me our even better with Viator directly and yet you didn't. It is better to be honest and say that you did not go to the tour and wanted your refund instead of telling that lie How we kown you did not go?, you clearly do not know that in the MARINA DE CANCUN BAY RESORT, there is only the Catamara of La Lupita a single Catamaran ...There are no more LUPITAS, and to enter there is only one access gate. what clearly you did not because because you weren't there. You keep talking about going to 1 pier and they sed you to another pier and with us is only 1 pier. Next time .... I personally invite you and believe me that I am a person of my word. The tour will be on us, for you and 2 more passengers. Speaking the truth,gets better results than lying. Slow boat/ not enough time on the island

The crew was very friendly and attentive. We did enjoy the boat ride and lunch buffet. Crew made sure everyone had a drink who wanted one and checked back regularly. We were disappointed that we were not allowed to snorkel or do the spinnaker ride due to high winds/waves. My biggest issue was that they made us spend $50 dollars on bracelets for the activities and we were not allowed to do them. Other downside was that we only had 1-1/2 hours to spend on the island after lunch.

And as you wrote before if the spinnaker ride and snorkel was not allow trust us it was for your own safety. it was not because we did not allow you to do it. master habor send the notification and we have to follow the indications. For the rest Im so happy that yoy enjot the ride and the buffett. ( slow boat? ) this is a Catamara it sails, is not a Yacht. thank you.

The entire trip was well worth every dime. At first me and my teen daughter were skeptical but I’m glad that we didn’t let that stop us from This experience because it was one for the books! The team had great energy and were always kind and accommodating beyond expectancy. There were families as well as couples a proud with us and it felt like a big family! From Check in the open bar to snorkeling to kiting to the 2 islands we stopped at to the little cute market we were able to park in park explore! I can’t rave enough on this crew! Please don’t judge the book by the cover! True there are other tours with much fancier boats but this tour was perfect for me and my little family! And I would chose this tour over the more fancier boats Any day! Thank you crew for the awesome hosting our awesome fotos and unforgettable experience. Hope to see ya the next trip!

I traveled to Mexico in 1997 and I remember that the best part of going to Islas Mujeres was the food. it was Fantastic we had fried fish with Coconut rice and Tostones. on this trip we had a buffet and it wasn't good at all it was mediocre at best. Everything else was great the service was pretty good, the snorkel wasn't great but it was ok. overall I ad a good time as well as my kids.

Fun, friendly staff. I am an experienced snorkler in several areas of the Caribbean and the water was extremely choppy. Be prepared for the Cancun waters. It is doable, but challenging. Lots of waves and water kept getting in my mouth piece. One of the staff members personally escorted my 6 yr old. She held on to a life preserver and he pulled her the entire time! I did not request this. This was so nice. Otherwise, she would not have been able to snorkel. The family enjoyed holding the nurse shark, no teeth. The restaurant where lunch is provided, and all of the tour boats take you to the same restaurant, is just OK food. The service is good though. Afterward, you sail to the city to tour or relax on the beach. We just relaxed on the beach. The waves are calm, not like Cancun waves. Wish we could've stayed there longer. Afterward, the spinnaker was fun. The staff definitely made the trip and the music was fun. Don't sit by the speaker if you don't want loud music. The crew also includes a photographer so we got a good picture. Please don't forget to tip the crew, at least a few dollars per crew person.

In general the crew service was excellent except one guide that offered me a golf car for 30 USD to drive around the island, but he did not tell me that island is so large that you do not have enough time to visit it also he omitted information about the existence of taxis in the island , which are cheaper and faster than the golf car however time to activities was very tight. For example, after the snorkel activities, the boat stopped at North side of Isla Mujeres this part is really ugly and I do not advise to go there, just for an hour and half. Therefore you can do two things either wait in a crowded and third world ugly beach or rent a golf car very expensive to go to the south part which is very nice, however to do this well you need at least two hours. Then, the boat stopped at some decent beach to have lunch in all inclusive buffet. The problem is that in this buffet you can eat medium quality international food and have to make a 20 minutes line to get food, so if you want to repeat food, you will lose the boat because they give you only one hour to have lunch and you do not have any time to digest your lunch and hang out at the beach which is one hundred times better than the ugly north side. So my advise to the tour guides is to spend more time at the restaurant beach and avoid to stop in the ugly north side.
