Our catamaran sail with Marina La Bonita was absolutely incredible! The crew Martin, Arturo, Jose & Ulysses were so warm, hospitable, and genuinely fun—they made the entire experience feel effortless and joyful. & Arturo takes GREAT pics & videos. From the moment we stepped onboard, we felt welcomed and cared for. The sailing was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, and every detail was handled with such kindness. Truly one of the highlights of our trip—we can’t wait to sail with them again! The snorkeling was even better than anticipated. It was amazing. We were lucky with clear waters enabling us to see all of the colors of the reef and so many tropical fish. It was truly magical. Moments we could never forget.

Great day on the water

Super friendly hosts. From pick up to drop off everything was taken care of. We enjoyed our time on the catamaran with lunch and never ending drinks :) The snorkeling was a ton of fun and we were excited to see a sea turtle. Don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen after the snorkeling!!

Fantastic Snorkeling Excursion

Friendly, very helpful, and informative staff members. We got a longer catamaran trip and still had enough time to snorkel and explore the barrier reef. Lunch was good and exactly as described. They were safety conscious by having guided at the front and back of the group. A bit more instruction would be beneficial for those who have not been snorkeling prior to this trip.

This tour was awesome! the staff really went above and beyond to cater to everyone's needs and make sure we were having a good time. Saw some cool sea life and they even let us take an extra quick dip before heading back to the dock since it was so hot out. Absolutely recommend!

This excursion is well worth the price. The entire crew on board and the driver from our hotel were friendly, extremely attentive, and knowledgeable. The snorkeling is through a protected reef, and is about 30-45 minutes in total. The rest of the day is spent on the catamaran sailing through the water. Lunch was good and appropriate for the occasion. We had a great time and would absolutely book through this company again.

We had a really nice half-day snorkeling trip with Jose, Freddy, Ulises, and the boat captain. They were very friendly and focused on safety of the passengers and protection of the coral reef. We saw lots of beautiful fish, the incredible coral reef, and enjoyed sunning ourselves on the boat after snorkeling. Make sure to tell them in advance if you are vegetarian. Lunch was ham sandwich and pork rinds.

Sail and snorkel

Very relaxing time on the water. We had a nice snorkel on the reef in the national park followed by a nice sail along the coast. We had an enjoyable lunch and plenty of drinks. The crew was very accommodating and willing to please.

Snorkel and catamaran were amazing! The crew is wonderful and Jose, our lead guide, did a beautiful job debriefing us. Ulysses, our snorkel guide, was very attentive and appears to have a genuine love for the ocean. It is important to note that the frequency/amount of aquatic life is dependent on random factors that are outside of the control of the crew (i.e. if weather was bad the day prior, it is harder to see fish). Lunch on the catamaran was relatively sizable (1 sandwich each with lots of snacks and unlimited drinks). I would definitely recommend this tour.

We are a family of four and we loved this tour. The trip was perfect. The crew, especially Jose, was great and helped us with anything we needed. The snorkel guide took us around and made sure to point things out to the kids which they loved. We enjoyed the light lunch after snorkeling and then napped on the nets on the front of the boat. We then went to the back in the shade and enjoyed drinks and the scenery. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic time! Everyone from the person picking us up to the crew on the boat was extremely nice and inviting. The snorkeling was fun, but a fair warning that it is quite a bit of swimming as you’re required to anchor the boat a ways off the reef and then swim over. We got so see all kinds of coral and fish though so it was worth it. For sure would recommend for anyone looking to spend a day in the ocean.

Our trip was canceled the night before because not enough people registered for it. It was too late for the four of us to get on with another excursion the next day. The did promptly refund our payment though, which was nice.

Book through your resort if you have the opportunity. At least the resorts are more accountable.

What I remember most was that the operator cancelled the excursion at the last minute, starting that there was not enough people sounded up. The gave us that info the night before, giving us no time to make alternative plans.

The guides were all around superb! Entertaining, friendly, and patient. They were very accommodating and showed that they wanted us to have a great time. We had spent the perfect amount of time snorkeling- the water was warm and we were able to see all sorts in the reefs. The meal (box lunch) provided was great and the drinks never ran dry. The driver who brought us from the resort was also great! He was punctual, funny and very informative. For all of the time we have spent in Cancun- Puerto Morelos Catamaran Reef Sail and Snorkel was our favorite activity.

Riding on the front of the catamaran in the sailing portion and the friendly knowledgeable staff. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the snorkeling part was very strenuous due to the weather. We should have stopped at the closest section of coral where I saw lots of beautiful fish, and not snorkeled all the way out to the main reef. I am 61 and was able to do it but we didn’t see much further out

Bad experience, trip was cancelled by vendor

It was canceled late evening for the trip scheduled for next day morning preventing us from booking anything else for the day. Claim was because they didn’t meet the numbers needed and it might rain. There was no forecast of rain that day. They should have cancelled earlier so we can book something else. Wasted our day.

Beautiful catamaran snorkeling tour! Worth the money!

Me, my husband and our 6 year old daughter loved the tour. The boat was very clean and spacious (there were 2 other guests). The crews were professional and very nice. We sailed out on the catamaran and switched to a smaller boat for snorkeling. When we got back to the catamaran, we were offered boxed lunch, ham and cheese sandwich, quite delicious. We then sailed for about another hour before heading back. Definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing trip! We had teenagers and a 4 year old. Everyone had a blast. The front of the catamaran had a ln area to lay out and enjoy the views. Snorkeling was great, saw lots of fish and the crew were very helpful and make the trip very fun! Would book this trip again.

Enjoyable snorkeling experience. Catamaran ride out and back was relaxing and enjoyable. Friendly staff. I liked that they inquired about music preferences and regularly asked if anyone needed a beverage. We didn't personally eat or drink on the boat, but it was an early sail. Super convenient that they provide the towels, and we really enjoyed the transportation from our hotel. My only suggestion is to bring your own goggles/mask. My nose piece kept filling up with water. The snorkels seemed brand new and came wrapped in plastic. A note on the reef (and they will tell you this) but most of the area you're swimming in is no more than 6-7 feet deep. It gets even more shallow, so be mindful that you'll need to stay horizontal to not disrupt the reef.

The snorkel and sail was the perfect Excursion with Marina La Bonita. Shout out to Jorge the office manager, he sent me pictures of the driver and vans, so we had peace of mind about traveling to Puerto Morales from Cancun. Misael our driver was the best, we talked and laughed the whole ride there and back. Jose and Angel were our guides on the boat and the kept everyone comfortable and informed. And I can’t forget Umey, he was the best 😊 This excursion was not over crowded and nor did it give off an obnoxious party vibe. It was relaxing and peaceful. Anything you book with Marina La Bonita will be worth it
