While our chef was extremely nice and welcoming. The experience we had did not mirror that of the viator posting. We did not make 8 recipes nor do I believe what we did was worth $110. We also did not receive a recipe book as promised via posting.

Lovely evening starting with unique cocktails in Chef Mel’s home with her husband. The menu was authentic and ingredients fresh. We had a lot of hands on opportunities and Chef Mel made you feel competent. A fun and delicious way to experience local living. I highly recommend.

An overall fun experience! Be open minded to different cuisines and experiences with this experience. You are in Chef Mel’s home, which is a unique experience to cook in a legitimate Mexican kitchen that people use daily. Starting off with the guacamole was great. Definitely recommend pairing it with the chicharron, for those whom are calories conscious. Empanadas were nice appetizer too, finally the main dish being the chicken pibil. If you’re into history and want to know about Mayan meals, history and culture her husband Israel is definitely willing to talk about it with you. Chef Mel and Israel are both so welcoming and friendly. Something that should be considered doing for a different view of Cancun and Mexico in general.
