    Terrible tour!

    Terrible tour. They delayed the tour by half hour morning of to 10:30. Skipper didn’t show up until 10:30, and then took fifteen minutes to get the boat ready. This impacted our afternoon activities substantially. There were no drinks as advertised, not even a glass of water for the whole tour. Nor typical Calabrian snacks, again as advertised. Skipper said no more than ten words. We didn’t know where we were or what we were looking at. The only way we knew we could swim was because he stopped the boat. We were not told how long we could swim for and at one point he seemed to get upset because some of people had swam out a bit far, however he had not provided any direction so not sure how anyone was supposed to know. Truly a frustrating experience.

    Amazing boat trip we had a great time swimming in the crystal clear waters and admiring the coast from the boat.

    Good swim stops and grottos

    The captain and mate were very experienced ship handlers getting us up close and even just inside some of the coastal grottos only accessible by sea for some good photos. The trip had 2 swim stops at private beaches but other tour boats did arrive at the 2nd stop as we were leaving so it is a popular swim stop. The crew allowed us a quick 3rd swim stop to get photos at a grotto which was the highlight of the trip. We gave them 4 stars because the tour speaking part of the trip was very challenging. The tour said it was in English but the captain spoke no English and the mate only spoke a little. There were both Italian and English people on board and the Italian speakers received a much more full conversation about the tour points and could ask questions while we received short information that was difficult to understand for half our party and the mate could not understand our questions.
