This was really fun! Bishoo was an excellent guide-he worked hard to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. We were here on 24 hour layover and this was just perfect. Camels were fun, papyrus museum was very interesting, and we enjoyed learning about spices and essential oils. Excellent!

We wanted a camel ride and were short on time so this was perfect. The people handling the camels were awesome and also great with the camera! When we booked it included hotel pick up and drop off and after the booking we got a message from the local tour operator that there would be an additional fee because we were outside of their pick up zone. Called Viator and they got it waived. The only bad part was the driver kept trying to take us to other shops( perfume, papyrus, etc) even after we told him we had already done all of those. Had to actually get a little nasty to get him to simply take us back to hotel. Dampened an otherwise quite enjoyable experience

Do not do this. Yes there was a camel. Never got to the pyramids just a trash strewn street. The driver tried numerous times to divert to stores. This is a hoax Viator should be ashamed to promote this.

This is the correct review for the correct company. I triple checked. The description is unclear and misleading. There is no guide sharing information or tour of pyramids. It was not in the pyramid complex so the photos of camel rides right by the pyramids are misleading. Only one photos of three riders with fences behind is accurate. There was no bottled water. It was a walk in silence and a stop for photos. We wanted the sunset and booked for 5pm. Once booked the provider kept texting and calling and changed the time to 4pm. It was uncomfortable. At 4pm we were picked up and taken to an Egyptian cotton shop and left to buy scarves for the experience. - you can get these scarves for $1 dollar in the complex but here they were trying to charge around $25. Then tried to take us for drinks and said about going for food afterwards. We were driving around miles from the pyramids and felt very uncomfortable. Then we arrived on a side street and picked up on the roadside a “guide” with two camels for myself and my son. We then walked through streets for a while before going along the complex fence with the pyramids in the distance. We thought it was a tour around the pyramids. There was no option to pay extra to go around the pyramids. We were taken to the top of a sand dune surrounded by what felt like a local hang out with loads of locals galloping around on horses and quad bikes. The sun started to set but they turned us around before the sunset despite be clearly stating in all the texts that I wanted the sunset and they moved it forward. After they kept contacting me on whatsapp and I has to block them. Felt very uncomfortable. Also they asked for passport details which I am not sure why and not happy that they now have this considering the experience - no other experience we did asked for passport details Don’t book a tour and def not this one and go to the pyramid complex. Pay £700 egyptian pounds to get into the complex for the visitor centre and all the pyramids and sphinx. Then around the pyramids are loads of people with camels or horses for set £1000 egyptian pounds (£15 english rather than £30 we paid). This would be better.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. It’s not 2 hours as advertised it’s more like 40 min so it’s definitely not worth that much. If you want to do the camel ride book a Uber and go direct outside the gates and you can book via one of the many people offering rides and it will cost you a third of the price. SCAM avoid

THIS TOUR IS NOT IN THE PYRAMID GROUNDS, DID NOT FEEL SAFE

We thought we were riding the camels in the grounds of the pyramids - but you do not. In fact the day before, there were a few red flags which became very obvious after our tour. First of all, we booked a sunrise tour - I received a message the day before saying we would be picked up at 7am instead of 5am and when I queried this, the reply was 'the police say it isn't safe' - so we took the advice and went at the agreed time - confused at this message but also disappointed at not getting to do this at sunrise as advertised and paid for. Our tour guide (lovely man) took us to a side street for the tour, no pyramids in sight, the 4 of us felt nervous. I questioned why we were at this spot and he said we would see the pyramids soon. I can't remember the name of the man who walked the camels with us , but he was very nice and he did do a good job - the problem was we never got to relax and appreciate that at the time. First stop was a 'police' hut - now the message about the police started to make sense. The 'policeman' (not dressed in a police uniform) wanted my hand bag but I refused to give it to him, which caused alot of discussion between the Egyptians. I was asked several times by our guide but there was no way I was giving over my bag so they were satisfied when I showed them inside the bag (from atop the camel). I felt very unsafe at this stage, as did the other 3 in my group. Our guide slipped the 'policeman' some cash and then we were allowed to proceed with our tour - yesterdays message was getting clearer now. We went into the desert and could see the pyramids over the fence, but still a quite far away. We never relaxed during the tour, and there were also lots of young people on horses and quad bikes around us, which felt quite intimidating. We certainly were too nervous to enjoy their company! At the end of the day, we were safe but this tour is not what is appears and I would have hated it if there was just me and my husband - thank goodness we had another couple with us. We did pay our tour guide extra to go into the grounds of the pyramids after this tour where there are heaps of camels to ride inside the grounds. The biggest issue I have with this tour is the safety aspect and the 4 of us are really outgoing, adventurous people and we were all feeling unsafe - it was a scarey experience and I would definitely not do this tour if I was going to Egypt for the first time or recommend it to anyone.

This experience was great and much longer than the 2 hours that was advertised! Camel ride was terrific. Assem couldn't have been more accommodating. We stopped for falafel lunch at a local kiosk and he took us shopping at some interesting places. Almost canceled due to some issues that arose with our reservation that we, thankfully, were able to resolve. So glad we didn't! Thoroughly enjoyed the day!!!

I could write a long story - but in short driver more interested in selling me papyrus than ensuring the logistics of the trip met the billing of "sunset tour" or safe driving. the camel driver was not set up on time (because the driver wanted to take me someplace to buy papyrus first)... the camel driver who came later still, stated that the camel needed to run in order to make the sunset. To an inexperienced camel rider - as i assume most tourists are- running is very uncomfortable and probably unsafe. I asked him to stop the camel run - which he obliged. we did get nice pictures. Last note, the tour says riding around the pyramids. This is not close to the pyramids or on the pyramid grouds - but rather in a sandy area near the pyramids. Technically it is "around" the pyramids, but i believe the description is misleading.
