I was picked up at 5pm and was back at my hotel at 6.15pm. I thought the driver was also a tour guide. He took me to the oldest non motorised felucca with the oldest man riding it. We had to switch to a motorised felucca in the middle of the Nile as the tradition one was not moving. I was hoping for some commentary about the Nile, the surrounding buildings, feluccas...but there was nothing despite me asking questions. I thought it was a 2 hour ride but it was 1 hour 15 minutes from when he picked me up from the hotel to when he dropped me back. Actually glad it was a short trip as I was getting bored.

Very enjoyable experience! Great low key alternative to the large dinner cruises that are so often offered on the Nile. Our guide Abdu insisted we treat him like a friend and gave us a lovely, peaceful experience cruising right at Golden Hour. Would definitely recommend!

Our guide, Moor (sp), was hospitable and fun. He took us on the river and we talked about the contrasting differences between Cairo and Giza. This wasn't about history as much as it was an escape from the busy streets of Cairo. Very relaxing.
