I feel honored to have visited the beautiful and historically significant city of Luxor. My guide, Egyptologist Ragab of Luxor Travel Day Tours, was incredibly educated and a wealth of information. As we visited the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and so many other sites, including the magnificent Karnak Temple, Ragab brought Egyptian history to life, with his wonderful storytelling and incredible grasp of the subject. For me, Karnak Temple was the highlight of the tour, and an experience I will never forget, as Ragab brought me to his favorite place in the temple, and allowed me time to sit alone in the magnificent ruins and meditate. Experience of a lifetime, thank you Ragab!!

Treated like royalty on this private tour, one of the best things I have ever done. All went very smoothly from start to finish and communication was good when times changed slightly. Our guide Abdul was just amazing in particular with my Son who is 11 and had ADHD and OCD. He learned so much and we were so well looked after at all times. Highly recommend this tour.

Dear valued guests,
Your kind words are very much appreciated! To hear you felt treated like royalty and that our guide Abdul was able to accommodate to your needs, that honestly means the world to us.
Thank you for your compliments and for entrusting us with your day tour in Luxor!
Sincerely,
Ragab El Motgalye

I have traveled to more than 30 countries and have been on a number of Viator tours and they have all been excellent. This tour is extremely pricey, so I believe there is an expectation for certain things. So here are my points:
1. When the driver came to my hotel at 3AM in the morning for the early flight to Luxor, he didn't have a sign indicating what tour company he was with. The car was a piece of junk, banged up on the outside, clean but old in the inside. However, the wheel was rattling, there were no shocks on the car, so every bump felt like a speed bump going 60 miles an hour. The driver spoke absolutely no English so when I was asking where we were since Cairo at night can be scary, he could not even answer me. A number of times on the road, I thought we were going to have crashes. I was praying the whole ride.
2. I contacted Ragab at the tour company, who was very understanding and was easy to contact.
Thank goodness he corrected this situation on the return with a nice clean air conditioned van and a lovely driver. They got points back for that and I appreciated Ragab addressing my concern.
3. Tour Guide Khalid - Khalid was very nice. He was an extremely knowledgeable Egyptologist. However, and I don't say this to be mean or anything but I have to tell the truth.... his teeth were HORRIBLE!!!! I could not even focus on the content of what he was saying half the time because his teeth were black and brown and I kept praying that he wouldn't spray on me. My son told me the same thing that he was frightened by his mouth! My point is, if your mouth is so bad that I can't concentrate on what you are saying, and you are catering to Americans who are not used to seeing teeth like that, you will find many who will be offended and grossed out .
4. We had lunch and the restaurant was like a country inn and the food was good. However, the waiter tried to stiff us. I was waiting for my change (which I was going to give to him as a tip anyway), and he never came back with my change. Then when we confronted him, he changed the price to a higher price. Dishonest and we told Khalid, but it did not leave us with a good feeling for the guy to try to cheat us.
Overall, we had a great time and I wish there weren't all these tiny issues, but for the price that we paid, I believe everything should have been seamless.
So overall, we had a great time, Ragab was responsive and corrected what he could and Luxor was AMAZING!

This full day of touring was amazing, in part due to my guide, Omar. I was promptly met at the Luxor airport and from there had a full day of sightseeing enhanced by Omar's tremendous knowledge of the sites and engaging personality. Quite fluent in English, we were able to see all of the sites listed on the tour as well as two nearby optional temples to explore that were amazing. Highly recommend requesting Omar for this tour.

Very well coordinated. The tour guide Ragab had the knowledge but didn't seem particularly eager to share much of it, unfortunately. Still a nice guide but he didn't seem to enthusiastic. Must have been having a bad day.

Ragab was knowledgeable and always available to answer our questions. He has a dry sense of humor, so be prepared.
