Raafat our driver and guide was extremely kind and helpful. He manages the crazy roads with ease. At the boat he did everything - got our tickets and made sure we got a good seat before departing to send us on the dinner cruise (next review w be of the cruise). Upon our return to the Doc, he was waiting for us. And drove us safely back to our hotel without incident. We had a great night.

The dinner cruise itself was fine. The night was ruined because our driver took us to four different shops no doubt to get paid by shop owners. We told him several times that we were not interested in shopping and that wasn’t what we paid for. He refused to skip the shops and we wound up running late for the dinner cruise itself. He drove very recklessly trying to make the cruise which we missed anyway. The cruise company put us on a small which took us to dinner cruise and we had to jump from the small into the dinner cruise. This is a horrible way to treat tourists.

This is not a cruise at all - and my primary intention was sightseeing not dining.
The boat slowly moved 30 minutes from 2 hours being almost at the same place.
They should call it just a dinner I the boat

The boat I was on is not the 5* deluxe. I paid for this trip 125 usd and I am on an old second grade boat and behind us there is 5* boat which I went through getting to this one. It is cheating people. The food was awful, entertainment low grade and boat old.
My driver cannot talk English which was part of the offer.
I asked for a refund and I received information that local tour operator who is responsible for this scam refused to give a refund! Can you get this logic!

We have been using Viator for many years and in many countries. For the most part, you can get an accurate view of the excursion via the reviews. However, for this particular excursion, there’s only one review that accurately captured how horrible this experience was to be which I errantly discounted because it was only one.
First, when taken to the departure area, the dock was completely unkept and dirty. There were flies everywhere and no communication as to how long you would have to wait in this decrepit area. This caused a lot of concern for myself as a husband for the safety of myself my wife. As more locals and tourist came and by the looks on their face had the same sense of fright, it became apparent that we were not the only ones to be swindled that day.
When it came time to board the ship our disappointment continue to skyrocket. Having seen so many nice boats on the Nile we had been expecting completely different. Instead we got an old poorly converted barge to ride in for the evening.
The entertainment was so bad as to be comical. To be fair the first ‘act’ was an Egyptian singer, who actually sang quite well and was trying to get the crowd into the experience. However, when it was time for the belly dancer to come on it quickly went downhill. When the ‘performers’ came on, it was as if my parents had decided to come on to sing karaoke, while my mother danced for the crowd.
Since we don’t speak Arabic, we really could not voice our displeasure. However, the dapper Arabic businessman that was with his wife and children seems to have said it all and then some; almost to the point of striking the person in charge of his group.
My wife and I are both from Latin countries so we understand that not everything will be as beautiful as in the United States. However, when you see locals were just as disgusted as we were, we knew the experience had been oversold to everyone. If you’re looking for a nice Nile cruise book anything that leaves from any place north of Cairo University Bridge. Otherwise you’ll hear from your wife about this for the rest of your life and not in a good way.

First, if you book with the same group you will discover that on the front page it says $20, however, that is only for the driver to take you to and from the location. There is a separate additional fee for the dinner and three different levels that you can pay and different times in which you can participate. In reality they all seem to be about the same although I only took one cruise so maybe the five star standard cruise has something that the four star doesn’t? There is also a five star deluxe, but it doesn’t tell you what it is that makes it deluxe so I would say go with the least expensive and you’re going to enjoy the show on the same boat. The staff was very nice, the shows we’re wonderful there were dancers and a belly dancer and two whirling gentlemen who did an amazing show that was very inclusive of everybody, but particularly the kids, and it was fun to watch. We are a couple of seniors and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as far as the food. There is plenty of it and it is OK. If there were any negatives, it would be that I would recommend the staff remain behind the people watching the show while the shows are going on often while the shows were going on the staff was trying to reset the tables for the next group and doing cleaning while you are still at the table. And that was annoying. However, that was the only negative and if you are not inclined to watch the shows because they go on for most of the trip after the dinner is served, you can go up on the top of the deck and look out on the beautiful lights around Chiro as you float down the Nile I highly recommend

I joined Raafat on the Nile dinner cruise. He told me he was new and I was his second guest, but you could never tell! He was incredibly kind and explained some of the sights we passed on the way there. We watched the belly dance and traditional Egyptian dance on the cruise and he encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and join them on the floor! I highly recommended Raafat for your next trip to Egypt!

I had an incredible time on the Cairo Nile dinner cruise! The views of Cairo at night were stunning, the buffet was delicious with plenty of variety, and the entertainment—especially the belly dancing and Sufi whirling—was fantastic. The best part of the tour was our driver who was a really nice and helpful guy, even though he spoke no English. Pick up and drop off to our hotel was on time and smooth.
The views to the Nile during the tour are magnificent and everyone on the ship was extremely kind and friendly, like we found most people in Egypt to be.
The food is very mediocre and there were a couple of things that we could not even finish.
The boat does not sail in a central location and therefore, you don´t get to see any of the downtown area during the tour, which, to be fair is not really promised. Having done a similar tour a few years ago, we just assumed they all take place in a more central Cairo part of the Nile but we realized this is not the case. Again, we were not told it is, but we would have preferred it.
The music on the boat is defeaning but it seems like this is the case with all of these tours.
The worst part of the tour though is the amount of messages we received afterwards to leave a review. They seem to forget that people are on a vacation and do not want to spend their limited time in the country reviewing a tour. I have received more than ten messages asking me to post a review, which became annoying.
We would do a similar tour again but definitely not at this price.

The dinner was ok, because driver was late due to traffic jam, we did not get much time for the dinner. Dinner was ok. Drinks you have to pay yourself separately. For the price quality it was ok but not the excellent.

Boat is not as described
They put us on a boat which was not "5 star". They told us a bigger nicer boat was our boat but they only used it as a means to get us onto the second boat. We just walked through it onto this other boat which was not as nice and not well kept. Performances were not good, food was cold, and service was poor. Don't waste your time or money

I really didn't want to write the review but the tour guide keeps sending messages asking me to do here it is.
The driver was fantastic, the and the boat experience was good. It's a short event, some music and belly dancing. Nothing amazing but something to do.
Before I arrived the tour operator used my number to try and sell me other tours which is not the correct use of my phone number. He then kept messaging me to leave a review. I ignored it because I can only write a bad review but again today, a week after my tour I'm still getting messages. I hope you can learn that the reason we give our number is to contact us about changes, pick up times etc. not to try to sell is stuff - this is not allowed on the Viator rules.
Please don't harass your clients, if you want to sell me something then do it the correct way.
The screenshots provided will show the messages which in the end got silly, from the tour operator called Hesham.
So yes go for the tour, but beware of all the messages you will get from the operator.

It was an entertaining cruise on an interesting boat. The dinner was actually a buffer with OK food but we had to pay for drinks. It was possible to walk around the boat, go outside and take pictures of the city. Most people on the cruise were locals, and there were a few birthdays celebrated. Would recommend.

We were picked up at our hotel on time and returned back there after the cruise by our lovely driver Assem.
The cruise was 1 and a half hours and the food was tasty and plentiful.
The entertainment could be better. Most of the people were more interested in watching the little girl dancing rather than the professional belly dancer.

We booked this dinner cruise as an opportunity to get dinner after a long trans-Pacific flight while enjoying the entertainment on the ship coupled with a night time view of the city on our only independent night in Cairo outside of our booked Egypt tour. Hesham Egypt private tour was assigned as our local tour provider and they had clear communication and really only served as a driver and escort to the dinner ship, who is an independent company. The driver picked us up on time as arranged, drive us to the dock, and made sure we boarded and were seated before letting us enjoy the cruise. The entertainment consisted of a combination DJ-keyboard player, a karaoke-type lounge singer who was quite good, a buxom belly dancer who performed two sets, and a male Sufi dancer with multi-color outfit complete with attached lights. The Sufi dancer was the best of show for us. The buffet style meal had lots of variety and was tasty, including a dessert layout. As far as seeing city lights, we didn’t see that much as most of our attention was focused on the interior show. This is one of the reasons I didn’t rate 5 of 5. Hesham Egypt Private Tour rates a clear 5 of 5 for their service and professionalism.

Nice buffet, good food. Entertainment was good - Caution: when I booked the trip there were 3 options... 5 star premium, 5 star deluxe and 4 star. So the reviews here may be skewed. I took the 5 star premium and was quite happy.

Unsafe/ people coughing onto the buffet
Food was presented in an unsafe matter/ no shields / no sneeze guard.
Cruise was 45 min you sit at the dock for another 45 min
Belly dancer was dancing for 15-20 min
Then taking pictures for sale
Beer was a stupid 8 US dollars, I don’t pay that a the Ritz Carlton
Total tourist trap be careful
Two birthday parties on board nothing but loud noise
Did not even attempt to eat the food
My son did, I hope he does not get sick
To charge $40 PP is way over priced
I would like to be credited at least 50 % back to my account.

The best thing about the dinner cruise was the taxi that picked you up and dropped you off. That’s it

About beverage that up to them any hotel charge 3 time if what you heard

Pay more and book 5 star or delux and you will have the big difference if you are client of Nile ritz
