It was the absolutely great trip! Weather was particularly nasty, poring rain and wind. I was 5 minutes late , which it highly unusual for me, BUT ... I had the most wonderful( and forgiving) travel team and the most important -the great, great guide/driver Stefan!
He was very knowledgeable, great driving skills, great story teller and just a fantastic guide. Trip was very enjoyable, informative and just a lot of fun. I would highly recommend Stefan as a tourguide, he is a great person and a very good guide. Thank you for such enojable time in Bilbao!!!

Due to the strenuous nature of the climbing 241 steps to the top of Gaztelugatxe then a steep incline coming back, far more time was needed to truly enjoy the experience. When I’m paying for the main event on a tour I want to feel like I can see it all. I didn’t appreciate that we had such a limited time in all the spots. My family opted to stay in Gernika-Lumo and train back to Bilbao We wanted lunch as there was no time for it in Bermeo or Gernika-Lumo. No water was even provided after hiking. It is stressed if you’re not in good shape not to go out to the island but what is the point of going if you’re not given enough time. I booked an English speaking tour but it was combined with Spanish speaking so it took longer at the stops to explain everything. It was just an okay experience for me as a travel agent. Stephan was a nice guide and made a wonderful recommendation for lunch in Gernika-Lumo, Zallo Barri.

Please note that climbing up to the hermitage is optional and not required if you are not in good physical condition. We also allocate time at each stop so guests can enjoy the surroundings at their own pace.

We had a nice day with Vlas, our guide. We could explore Gaztelugatxe on our own (about 2hrs) after a quick info intro, then drove to Bermeo for a fast stop. Not much to do there anywaws so 45min was enough. Our last stop, Guernica, felt a bit rushed but nevertheless we saw the touristy things such as the Tree and Picasso’s painting.

Fantastic tour to the area around Bilbao. We highly recommend Stefane and his tour company for this excellent small group tour! Stefane was very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining and he went out of his way to explain everything in English and Spanish. We learned a lot but also had enough free time to hike Gaxtelguatxe, explore Bermeo, and get a taste of Guernica. We strongly recommend this tour if you will be in Bilbao for a few days.

Good informative tour with a multilingual guide. Francisco worked with us when it looked like one of us might not make it back to the bus on schedule at one of the stops (we made it just a few minutes late!). No time allowed to grab more than a quick bite even though the tour ran from early morning to mid-afternoon.

Minimal English input from the guide. Its more like transport only and fill in background info yourself. Compared with other groups we met aling the way, this is way below srandard. Not recommended.

Regarding the transport, it’s more than just a simple bus service, as informative explanations are also provided during the ride, in addition to the explanations our guide gives during the walking tours at the various sites visited. This excursion is generally considered one of the most highly valued.

Experience was positive for San Juan de Guax. You barely get to see Bermeo and Gernika…for both stops you get off the bus, listen to the tour guide talk for 15 minutes and get back on the bus. Not much of a visit. So the day trip itself quite short and you only spend time in the first stop.

Stephanie our guide was amazing, he did all the hiking up and down and even cheering the team. He is very knowledgeable and manage both languages English and Spanish perfectly not to miss a detail. I highly recommend this tour. Yvon the driver was very kind and patient with the group.

Gaztelugatxe was beautiful. The other two stops were very very rushed. There was barely any time to appreciate them.
The guide and driver were kind and helpful. However I didn't get much from the guides commentary. Maybe Spanish speakers will get more out of the narration.
The bus was clean and driven safely.
Overall I was disappointed with the tour.

Patxi was a great guide. As a Bilbao native and Basque speaker he offers a special insight into the region that he passionately shares during the tour.
The one day I went was the rainiest day of the year; despite that it was still a fun time. Admittedly, I'm a Game of Thrones fan so it added more "wow" but I enjoyed learning the history of Bermeo and Guernica as well.

We arrive and at the place and the tour guide instructed us to go ahead while he was explaining something to other people, however the person at the gate didn’t allow us without the tour guide. We waited 13 minutes. Once at the top we were not allowed inside the church to see inside even though we had the tickets because the tour guide was not with us and that was the reason we climbed the darn 243 steps. The guide should had known that and accompanied us to get our money worth. He was rushing us through the entire trip. No I will rather drive to the place next time

We had a great time at each of the three destinations and learned so much in a such a short timeframe! The hike at Gaztelugatxe was our favorite and is definitely doable, but still intense! Be sure to bring good shoes, water, and go to the bathroom before the hike down!

This tour was amazing. Our bilingual guide was kind patient and helpful. The hike to San Juan de Gaztelugatxte was difficult but doable. It’s not the 240 steps but the climb back up to the bus that will hurt. But definitely worth it. Hour guide walked us through the towns of Bermro and Gernika as well. Great day!

So glad I took this tour to see so many things in the limites time I had.
The tour was shorter than I expected.
I would have preferred to see at least one museum in one of the places we visited for a deeper cultural understanding.
