What are people saying about Bilbao

Our guide and driver were...
Our guide and driver were both excellent. Our guide Adur provided a wealth of information about the Basque region and its history. He was organised and efficient and included humour in his presentation. We found his recommendations of where to eat in San Sebastián extremely helpful.

Great tour
We went on a small guided tour with Asier, who was great. As a Game of Thrones fan, I am glad we got to spend a lot of time on site. Asier gave us a lot of context and information on the various sites. He managed our time well and we never felt rushed. He even gave us excellent recommendations on where we might want to eat for dinner (tour ended by 3:30).

Bilbao is an enogastronomical wonder
Well planned tour- Arrate was knowledgable and very professional. We were 6 so it was more of a personal tour. The traditional wineries are worth a visit for their architectural value- however we loved the visit to a more modern one- their wines are exceptional- highly recommended-

Javi the Great Guggenheim Guide
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the outside and inside tour of the Guggenheim in Bilbao! We were lucky that there were only four of us and Javi, our guide, was the best! Javi was filled with so much information and incredible detail. He consistently spoke to each one of us saying our names to make sure we didn’t miss a beat! He took photos when we asked and had a huge passion for his work and for the city he was born in. Would definitely recommend Javi.

Poised just a few miles inland from the Basque Country coast—and within easy driving distance of southwestern France—Bilbao is a convenient jumping-off point for travelers looking to explore more of the region. Depending on your interests, Bilbao day trips can take you to Basque hubs such as San Sebastián or La Rioja, Spain's best-known wine region. Alternatively, head across the French border to enviable resort towns such as Biarritz. And for intrepid types, the Picos de Europa mountains beckon.
