This tour was one of the highlights of our 17 day trip to Spain! The Basque country is beautiful! Everything we saw was just amazing! We particularly liked San Sebastion; awesome in every way! Great food there too! The fortified city of Hondarribia is super-interesting and Gitaria is very picturesque. Our tour guide, Pedro A, was fantastic; super knowledgeable and informative with a great personality and sense of humor! I highly recommend this experience!!!!

Limited time at each stop. Bad planning in San Sebastián, the old town is too far to walk from the bus station.
Better to have more time in San Sebastián & cut out Getaria.
The guides English was not understandable.
Very happy with the tour from Bilbao to the Hendaye, Errenteria, Donostia and Getaria.
Our guide Aman was exceptional giving us a lot of information with good humor and eloquence.
Well structured, varied tour with an excellent guide (Aman) and driver (Andre). The commentary was useful with plenty of humour. The allocated times were appropriate to each stop, where places of interest were advised but you were given the freedom to do your own thing if preferred. Very pleased I chose this tour.
Stefan was a very informative guide who provided great recommendations for lunch in SAN Sebastian. Great location.
Tour was good, got to see lots of the country and interesting stops. Very large group. Thought it would be an english speaking tour but was bilingual probably to fill the bus as there were two separate language tours when we booked. This resulted in having narration done twice and was hard to follow because people began talking as soon as their language narration finished. Guide did as best he could.

A little rushed. I think 4 places to visit in one day are too much and there wasn’t enough time in San Sebastián. The guide was friendly and imparted a lot of information both in Spanish and English. However, he spoke very fast, and his English was okay but I expected it to be better.
It was indeed a great tour. Thank you to Stefan, our tour guide. I would definitely recommend this tour. Loved the Basque area of Spain. Might come back for a visit again with my spouse.
We visited 4 Basque cities, 1 of them in France! Stefan gave us a lot of interesting history about the cities and about the Basque history, culture, and language. We saw beautiful beaches and countryside. We had time in San Sebastion for a nice lunch and to walk around the city. I thought it was good value for the cost.
Good trip although the information about the meeting place very imprecise and chaotic. Address given instead of simply saying "meet in front of a Puppy at Guggenheim's". Three groups met at the same place, each guide shouting names on his list at the same time. But when you eventually manage to find the group you belonged to, it was mainly a good experience. The stay in San Sebastian was shorter that promised, two hours instead of 3, which is not enough to see the place and have lunch. This was a bit disappointing. Also, I would expect more information about the life in Basque country, but may be Wallys thought it was unnecessary as many of the group were Spanish. Also, the English explanation and Spanish were mixed, I was fine, but my partner, who has a hearing problem, found it very difficult to extract the information in English from the avalanche of sentences in both languages intertwining.

Positive: great places to visit. Expect the kind of the "highlights" tour - if you are interested in seeing the towns, you won't have time for anything else.
Negative: left 20 min late plus the group members didn't adhere to the time which triggered reduction of visit time in the subsequent towns.

No walking tour as advertised and drop off in San Sebastián was 20 mins walk each way into old town so 30% of free time (2 hours) taken up, drop off should be much closer, one couple had a taxi back to coach!
What a day out ! Excellent tour guide Stephan...very comfortable transport. No rushing here and there. Lots of nice stops...with excellent local history and knowledge and great recomendation for lunch etc. provided by stephan. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with a spare day to fill. Not a very interesting tour. There wasn't enough time and structure for San Sebastian which was the main reason I took the tour. A bus tour of the city together with a map for options to cover on my own would have been useful.

We were visiting Bilbao but had an extra day to explore. We booked this tour and were not disappointed. Our your guide Amán was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very entertaining. The tour was bilingual, Spanish/English. We had a beautiful day. San Sebastian was stunning. Highly recommended tour.

Our guide and driver were both excellent. Our guide Adur provided a wealth of information about the Basque region and its history. He was organised and efficient and included humour in his presentation. We found his recommendations of where to eat in San Sebastián extremely helpful.

Our guide Stephane was very knowledgeable about Basque culture, history and particular points of interest. he translated everything in both English and Spanish throughout the entire day. He showed us where to buy good quality jamon, sausages and specialty products. The tour in San Sebastián was especially nice.; we were taken to a great view point and then give us suggestions where to go to best explore the city and Stephane provided fantastic recommendations for lunch. At Ganaria’s on Calle 31 Agusto we ate amazing Pintxos including sea urchin and seared foie gras. Our driver Javier was a great driver….fast and a very smooth ride.

I’ve used Viator in Korea, Porto, Ireland.. those were all A rated tours & so I continued with Viator. This is the worst one .. C at best … basically quantity over quality .. we made multiple stops with a short explanation & then maybe 15-30 min to walk around. Not enjoyable to have to worry about getting back to the bus on time .. only San Sebastián with the ‘3hr’ was a bit better ! Just 2 cities where we have more time to enjoy would be much better . Also our guide - Aitor - nice guide but not a great speaker ... he points out point of interest as we r passing it .. too late for us to look since the bus has already passed it .. he should tell us that the point of interest is coming up .. and getting his right & left would be helpful .. he would say & on ur right , there’s a church .. no church .. only wires & rail for train .
He drones on & on … not consistent in his speaking so it’s like someone talking to you one thing, then switches to another… I forgot what he said 5 min ago but seems he’s on the same topic
The only good reason to take this bus (not even a tour) to get from town to town .
Also at our first stop , he gives us 45 min to walk around , go to bathroom, get coffee
But after we get on , he tells us we’ll have more time & the cafes r cheaper ! Thx for letting us know after the fact .
Bottom line - don’t bother with this one. Plan ahead & DIY buy ur bus ticket in advance .. we only booked this tour cause bus tickets were sold out .. (last minute & weekend)

We had an excelente tour guide. Aitor was very thorough and knowledgeable on all explanation and any inquiry we had. The driver was also very nice and we had a smooth ride. We had questions regarding other cities and Aitor helped us with that and we were able to book another tour directly with them for a pick up from San Sebastián to the French Basque Country which we also enjoyed a lot. Our excellent guide, Aitor, was very good about explaining what to expect all along the way and his commentary was very enlightening. He also made certain that his shifting between English & Spanish was not confusing, as we have experienced in the past. Our main goal was to see San Sebastián but the other stops proved to be very worthwhile.

This was an excellent day out. I booked because I wanted to see San Sebastian, but this trip offered so much more. Stunning scenery, interesting towns with beautiful architecture, incredible food, it really delivered. I thought I'd be exhausted by such a long day, but the day was well paced, with time for rest on the comfortable coach, and genuine consideration given to practicalities, such as loo breaks. Aitor was our guide. He was fabulous. Ludicrously knowledgeable and so inclusive and considerate of everyone. He shared the best places to visit, during our free time, and his suggestions were all first rate. Our driver (I forget his name, I'm sorry, something like Mattie?) was great too. I felt super safe and appreciated him getting us close to the sights. I am an older woman travelling alone and this trip was the perfect opportunity to let someone else take the strain of figuring out where to go and what to see for a change! Great stuff.
