This tour was one of the highlights of our 17 day trip to Spain! The Basque country is beautiful! Everything we saw was just amazing! We particularly liked San Sebastion; awesome in every way! Great food there too! The fortified city of Hondarribia is super-interesting and Gitaria is very picturesque. Our tour guide, Pedro A, was fantastic; super knowledgeable and informative with a great personality and sense of humor! I highly recommend this experience!!!!

This is a great experience and a very good value. We learned about the history and culture of the Basque region from our guide Aitor, all the while traveling in a comfortable coach (thanks for the great driving Mati!) to four interesting and diverse locations. The scenery is beautiful and the coastline truly spectacular.

We had an excelente tour guide. Aitor was very thorough and knowledgeable on all explanation and any inquiry we had. The driver was also very nice and we had a smooth ride. We had questions regarding other cities and Aitor helped us with that and we were able to book another tour directly with them for a pick up from San Sebastián to the French Basque Country which we also enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended.

Our excellent guide, Aitor, was very good about explaining what to expect all along the way and his commentary was very enlightening. He also made certain that his shifting between English & Spanish was not confusing, as we have experienced in the past. Our main goal was to see San Sebastián but the other stops proved to be very worthwhile.

This was an excellent day out. I booked because I wanted to see San Sebastian, but this trip offered so much more. Stunning scenery, interesting towns with beautiful architecture, incredible food, it really delivered. I thought I'd be exhausted by such a long day, but the day was well paced, with time for rest on the comfortable coach, and genuine consideration given to practicalities, such as loo breaks. Aitor was our guide. He was fabulous. Ludicrously knowledgeable and so inclusive and considerate of everyone. He shared the best places to visit, during our free time, and his suggestions were all first rate. Our driver (I forget his name, I'm sorry, something like Mattie?) was great too. I felt super safe and appreciated him getting us close to the sights. I am an older woman travelling alone and this trip was the perfect opportunity to let someone else take the strain of figuring out where to go and what to see for a change! Great stuff.

Great experiences! It would have been better to have an extra hour in San Sebastian
I regret to inform you that this your is against GDPR policies, you get a ticket but then your first name and last name is said out loud in a roll call and this is done without the consent of the persons. It toon me by surprise....

You will not have enough time in San Sebastián. I would eliminate the first two stops. Beautiful sights ! I would recommend Wallace our tour guide give his interesting talk inside the bus. Very hard to hear outside with crowds. But I would recommend the tour.

We had a great day exploring San Sebastián and the other towns that we stopped off at. Our guide Aiter was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and he gave us great tips about where to eat in our free time in San Sebastián. We had great conversations with him through out the day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting this area.

Great way to get from Bilbao to San Sebastián! Large comfortable bus that accommodated our luggage. Enjoyed stop in Hondarribia and San Sebastián. Most of your time is on your own.

Useful for having a coach tour through the local countryside but not very good value for money. Tour guide “Wallace” was not very organised - three different tours meeting at the same (pick up) point with no signs to assist us find the right one. We then had to walk a distance to get on the coach - more wasted time. We spent 90 minutes on our coach before our guide spoke to announce the first stop. There was no background info as we journeyed through the countryside. The main stop was supposed to be San Sebastián but this was also disappointing. The first part was a drive to the “castle” view point for a photo shoot. This did provide good views / photos of the main beach area on a nice sunny day but the second part was a waste of time. We were dropped off at the local bus station which is some way from the beach areas. It’s also very congested for meeting up again as a group to board the bus. Our last stop was at Getaria was good, smaller place but plenty of cafes. It would have been a better lunch stop for our trip.
This tour was ok for getting around this part of the countryside but we didn’t learn much from our guide. We thought we had signed up for an English speaking tour but it also included Spanish speakers and the continual interchange was exhausting over the course of the day.
My advice is find a different tour operator and choose a single language tour if you can.

Our guide Pedro had to manage nearly 50 people, in two languages. While he did a good job and told us good information, it meant standing around, losing time in cities while he addressed the other group, hard to hear him at the back of the bus. Need two guides. Need more time in Hondaribbia and skip Getaria.
