The tour was well structured and the guide was very knowledgeable. I think to make it better a little presentation of the people taking part in the tour before beginning can help break the ice for solo travellers like myself. In my case we were a small group this could have been easily done. Other than that I would definitely recommend!

Miguel is a local, and he is very pleasant, knowledgeable, entertaining and interesting. He gave us a really good summary of the history and culture of the Basque people and region, but also lots of great tips for things to see and do in and around Bilbao. It’s also a good walking tour, as while the old town is small and compact, we did cover a nice distance in the 1 hr 40 minute tour we took. If you like walking tours, as we do, this is great and one of the best we have had anywhere. We hadn’t intended to take this tour as we had booked a ‘priced’ one that was cancelled on the morning. We found this one at short notice and it was great. There were 7 of us in total, and based on the tips given at the end, we all really enjoyed it and felt Miguel easily earned his tip.

Miguel was very knowledgeable and provided a great overview of Basque history, culture and language. He also gave us tips of what foods to try. Photo stops were excellent. We were really happy to have a local navigate us through the narrow back streets of the old city.
