Highly recommended tour of Old Town Bilbao. Miguel gave us an excellent introduction to the history, uniqueness and character of Basque culture. It helped us understand and appreciate the local environment. Highly recommended to kickstart your visit of beautiful Bilbao.

Joaquin was knowledgeable, passionate, and had great, interesting
information about Bilbao. He talked about history, culture, food, and life in the city. We walked to about 6 different spots. We highly reccomend this free tour. Do this tour first thing, he had lots of good info to help you navigate the city.

I took the trip around Bilbao's old tow yesterday with my family and we all had a wonderful time. Our guide (Juaquim) was absolutely wunderful. He was full of knowledge about Basque history and culture. He gladly talked to us about topics that intrested us. Juaquim was full of fun facts about Bilbo too and he gave us some useful instructions on how to use public transport around here. And it was easy to communicate since he is fluent in English. It was absolutely a treat and I would recomend him to anyone visiting Bilbo.

Very picturesque views but requiring certain physical stamina. Interesting and entertaining stories delivered in a easy and pleasant manner.
The tour was very disappointing. It showed us almost nothing of Bilbao. We spent nearly two hours walking within a radius of about 500 meters, with very little to see or learn. We expected to discover the city, its history, and its main attractions, but instead the tour stayed in one small area for most of the time. Unfortunately, it was not a good use of our time, and we cannot recommend it.

A great introduction to the Basque Country, a bit of it's history and culture, Miguel conveys his passion for the area in a fun and informative way. Lots of tips and ideas of things to do, a walking tour is an essential to start a visit to the area.
Fantastic tour, highly recommend. Guide was super engaging and we loved the focus on Basque culture, history, identity and of course food. Tickets are very cheap, be sure to tip your guide afterwards!
Take a walk with Miguel! When you consider a free tour, you may not have a lot of expectations but this tour gets better with each and every step. Perhaps, he will introduce stage one two or three. It’s filled with rich history, discovery and passion! We highly recommend commend taking a tour either Miguel. We learned a lot more than other Bilbao tour.
Miguel was a great guide. He shared the historical context of the area with us so we had a sense of place when the tour began. He walked us through the streets of the old town stopping at important areas of interest and linked them to how they corresponded in an historical and social context. He was very friendly and talkative -also full of great tips about what we could see in and around the area, also how to get to various places using the transport systems and answered all the questions eagerly.
I also have to note that it was a really really hot day and throughout the tour Miguel made sure we had water to drink and took us past water fountains so we could fill our bottles and remain hydrated!
Thoroughly recommend joining a walking tour with him. 🌻
