I was really grateful for the insight, additional context, and conversations that Gara provided. She was a delight to spend some time with, and I believe I enjoyed the museum more than I would have on my own. I only wish it was longer and we could have seen more! But the ticket gave me additional time to explore the museum solo. Overall an incredible experience well worth the money.

Although the building itself is a work of art, it takes some finesse to uncover what lies inside. Javi our guide was a native Basque gentleman who knew EVERYONE by name: he learned our names but also knew staff, street vendors and artists by name. I love me a person who values details. Hearing the subtleties surrounding the permanent collection and seeing things through the lens of someone passionate with an art history background, we discovered another level of appreciation. You will find this worth every penny and something that will fill your memory for a lifetime.

I paid a lot of $ for what was supposed to be a small group (6) VIP experience the group had 10 people and there was no vip experience according to the guide herself. She was very good but it took longer than it should have so we didn’t get to spend the time expected to see everything we were supposed to. Security consisted of 1 guy looking into your bag. So I’m not sure what lines we were avoiding.
The museum is amazing but there are way cheaper ways of doing it.

Showed up for the tour on time and they were not there. Did not respond to messages or calls and viator was not helpful.

There were two guides at the meeting point who departed with two groups, leaving these clients behind. On cruise days, delays cannot be accommodated because cruise passengers are on a tight schedule.

A great introduction to the Guggenheim, Belen gave a knowledgeable and fun overview. It was also very useful to jump the long queue.
Great tour of the Guggenheim is you’re short on time but want to get the most out the experience. We came away with a good understanding of the architecture and the art both within and outside the museum. Javier was a wealth of knowledge.
They cancelled our tour an hour before it started due to it being too busy. They said that they could reschedule for the next day but then never responded to any of my messages.
Energetic and comprehensive tour of the Guggenheim Bilbao. Javier was a helpful and well versed guide.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the outside and inside tour of the Guggenheim in Bilbao!
We were lucky that there were only four of us and Javi, our guide, was the best!
Javi was filled with so much information and incredible detail. He consistently spoke to each one of us saying our names to make sure we didn’t miss a beat!
He took photos when we asked and had a huge passion for his work and for the city he was born in.
Would definitely recommend Javi.

Javi focused on highlights of the permanent exhibits - he’s very knowledgeable. The museum was crowded but Javi guided us through efficient and we didn’t have to wait to see things. Admission is good all day so I spent another 2+ hours exploring on my own. I highly recommend this tour!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour and this guide. This was an amazing tour that started with an exploration of the exterior of the museum and then continued inside to all of the permanent exhibits and a few of the temporary ones. We were given wristbands so that we could continue to explore on our own. Javier was an incredible guide and teacher. He gave wonderful insights about the pieces, the building, and the artists. The entire tour gave us a greater appreciation of the museum, its architect, and its exhibits.

I booked this tour and paid $338 and received a confirmation. In less than 12 hrs, they said they could not supply an English guide as promised. They refunded $100 of the amount and we were left on our own with their $15 entry tickets. Terrible customer service. They still refused to refund my money. Don't book with Viator. I will not use them again.
