Pascal was so great!! He was on time, very friendly and full of knowledge about the region. He felt like a friend! Also, made sure to communicate with us in case we were late or wanted to leave earlier. Great day!

Excellent..ride from Bayeauz a little long, but guide was safe driver....tour Excellent, just sometimes hard to hear Lou..but knowledge was wonderful. On time, great English, patient with all.

Ophorous provides the abbey ticket and transportation. Our trip driver/guide Valentin explained that due to crowds Go to the Abbey at the top first, while not busy, then after stop at view points for pictures, then shop at village shops and stop for lunch as the place explodes with tourists coming in, and lastly go out onto the sand if low tide, and get photo ops. It was a great tip, and then you can walk back and cut over on the right side dirt path to pass by the sheep for awesome pics on the way back to the meeting point.

Well organised and prompt. Valentin was an excellent driver and gave a good commentary en route to amont St Michel. There was just the right amount of time to explore the abbey and walk both there and back. Having prepaid tickets made it easier (though that maybe easy to organise online 🤷♀️). The abbey is well worth a visit, both architecturally interesting and has amazing views. Would be happy to use Ophorus again.

Only giving any stars because our driver was great and the place was worth visiting.
(We aren’t faulting our driver. They did let us know after we were already in motion that we we only purchased a ride).
This is genuinely NOTHING more than a glorified taxi ride for 8 people. There is no “commentary”. Not a single tidbit of information about Mont Saint Michel except to avoid the overpriced omelets (we learned to also avoid the sandwiches. The first shop on the right sold us rancid ham sandwiches…inedible…no refunds)
But when we signed up for a $114 per person “transfer” with “commentary” from a “knowledgeable driver” we thought that meant that we’d get some information during the ride then be left to explore on our own with the new “knowledge” we thought would be shared in the “commentary” , in mind.
We chatted about random things here and there on the way, like regional foods and the driver pointed out when MSM came into view , but that was about it. Thankfully there was enough signal for us to google information, which is much less fun when we expected “knowledgeable” “commentary”
Local hotels offer daily shuttles for MUCH less. And our family could have gotten a private *round trip* Uber for HALF THE PRICE.
Either spend a bit more and get the guided tour and actually learn a bit about this neat place or save a bunch of money and get a hotel shuttle or Uber.
We’ve purchased a LOT of tours through Viator and this one has been the ost disappointing in terms of what we paid vs what we got. What a shame.

Victor was amazing! He provided exceptional guidance on mont St Michel and was extremely helpful. His breadth of knowledge of US capitals and “missle-toe” was second to none. Highly advise you spend some quality time with Victor whenever possible.

Short time about 4 hours on the island but transportation was on time. Opted for van ride only. Would have been helpful to have been given better game plan for island.

It was a long ride in a van from Bayeux that we shared with three other travelers. Our driver, Valentine, was informative along the pleasant journey. Thankfully, he advised us to consider purchasing sandwiches for lunch, which we did, before entering the lower level of the cathedral…. This was a wise decision. Valentine turned us loose with our tickets. Up and up we went along narrow cobblestone paths and stairs. We weren’t prepared for the huge number of people with the same idea! But we trudged on slowly. The 360 degree view was outstanding. The interior structures were barren but the architecture was interesting. Restaurants & souvenir shops lined the lower level and were packed with long lines. Thanks to Valentine for looking out for us…. Glad we went, bucket list adventure completed.

Our driver, Victor, was a great! Really fantastic local guide who we enjoyed talking with to and from Mont St Michel. He gave us key info that helped with our visit and a little bit of history. I would highly recommend booking this or a drive with a guide because the parking and crowds at Mont St Michel are no joke. Why stress yourself with driving and parking and figuring stuff out, when someone can make sure you get there and set off on the right foot!
