The tour guide was very knowledgeable, however, he needs to be a little more engaging. The park is beautiful and there is a nice sea view.

So crazy. We had a taxi that took us on a bit of an adventure and our tour company didn’t wait for us. We were 5 mins late. That’s fine. We had to pay twice and we rebooked on Viator with another company who took us immediately. Theory loss as we are very generous.

While the guide was very good and we learned an awful lot about the park and Gaudi, it should be noted that there are a lot of steps ... up and down as well as some steep inclines. Travelers with any kind of mobility issue should be aware.

Very Disappointed: Company is hard to contact and then hung up on me.

I was extremely disappointed in this tour company. There were 4 of us traveling together. 2 senior citizens and 2 women in their 50’s. One of our party fell and injured her knee, and we started 30 minutes before the tour trying to call or hail a taxi from Gràcia neighborhood to the site. Without the injury we were walking and would have made it in plenty of time. No cabs were available via app or on the street. We tried messaging via the Viator app, calling and messaging the tour company directly and they refused to respond. We left multiple messages and said we were going to be late, and asked if we could reschedule or join the group late to at least get part of the tour. When I finally got someone to answer the phone, she clearly said she could not hear me and they don’t take phone calls, and hung up on me. I’m now writing this review a week later and the tour company still hasn’t messaged me or responded. We arrived to the meeting place about 10 minutes late, and it was chaotic with many different companies meeting at the same location. Few wore distinctive color shirts or held specific colored umbrellas to find the company we were booked with. I asked what the process was to find your guide and they said we were just supposed to ask each one if our name was on their list. It took another 10 minutes for someone to even recognize the name of our assigned company, and told us they were gone and no representatives were left at the meeting place. Of our 6-8 Viator activities over the past 2 weeks, this was the only one that didn’t message me before the tour with clear instructions (shirt or umbrella color, names of guides etc.) or provide a way to contact them on the day of the tour. It almost seemed like the disorganization was intentional. And, of course, because we were late due to an injury we get no refund.

Parts of the tour were fascinating and I had know nothing about Gaudi prior to my visit. Our guide was very informative, passionate and fully knowledgeable. Loved the connection to nature, truly inspirational and I expect the park to be stunning come spring time. It was a lot of information and history to try and absorb is this short period of time. Perhaps had I done a bit more research in advance, I would have been better able to appreciate the rich history and artistry.
